My first love

I found some old journals from high school recently and reading through it made me nostalgic. Everything back then was sooo dramatic and huge. The first person you thought you were in love with was the only person in the world for you. Ahh, to be young and foolish again.

I thought about how the first love of your life can sometimes set a precedent for future relationships. Sometimes we realize who is no good for us, sometimes we are too naive to know it until much, much later.

What do you think your first love taught you about relationships? Do you remember the first time you fell head over heels in love?

Have you ever wondered what happened to them? Is it ever a good idea to go look them up and see how they are doing?

Happy Friday!

Kimmie – Me & siblings went thru the same taking care of dad. Stay strong sister.

Thanks Kimmie!!!

I’m not really a “Zane” reader either. Frankly I don’t really read those kinds of novels. I lump them all together Harlequin, Zane, Nora Roberts…. IMO they’re all about the same and you can feel the climatic moment approaching like from page 2….LOL In all your reading in the back of your mind you can tell “it’s coming” might be 10 chapters away but the moment is coming where his manhood swells or her sweet spot get’s licked or rubbed. When it’s done and after all that build up they lay sweating and heaving. Oh and she’s always absolutely georgeous and he’s just simply to die for…LOL

Just saying :)

Here’s a dumb question, has anyone ever been to Netherworld. I called and they have a house called “Raw Meat” and another house called “Nightmares” at a cost of $22. I’m not paying a penny to scare myself to the point of me peeing on myself.

My first love happened when I was 15, he was 17. We dated five years. It was an absolute mushy, gushy puppy love, the kind where we couldn’t bear to be apart for more than five minutes. We would stare into each other’s eyes, dreaming about the future… he constantly sent me flowers, bought me jewelry (as much as a teenage boy could afford), and wrote poems and love letters. Literally HUNDREDS of love letters. I remember the day he finally proposed, and I said…HELL NO…well, I didn’t really say that, but I thought it. I loved him, but in my 20 year old mind, thank goodness I knew I had no business marrying this Romeo who thought we could just wrap up in each others arms and simply live off love. He had no plans for the future, no drive, no passions, no hobbies, no nothing, outside of me. YUCK…didn’t want this mushy gushy guy as a husband, I wanted myself a MAN. So we parted ways, he went on to marry and have six daughters. Looking back, it was a good first love, to have someone love me that much…but taught me NOTHING about how to deal with an adult relationship later on. I was spoiled rotten by his gifts and affection, and didn’t realize that wasn’t the “norm”. It was hard to get used to less “mushy” guys, even though that’s what I wanted.

And of course, 19 years later, we reconnected on Facebook. He chatted some, and at 41 years old, he almost immediately went back to the mushy-gushy romantic flirtations, telling me how I was still the love of his life(even though he’s married), how much he missed me over the years, etc. etc. I was like eww!….and defriended him. Again, it was one thing to hear that at 15, but not as an adult, and certainly not from a married man. If that’s the way he treats his wife, looks like I made a good choice when I said “No” to that proposal!

Leggs — I always make a point to avoid “raw meat” and “nightmares” when I go down to the nether world… that’s what the belly-button test is for. ;-)

All of sudden it’s a big news story because White women are starting to lose their hair because of over-use and improper use of extensions.

To Black women, this is not news.

And for today’s topic:

My love, there’s only you in my life you’re everything that’s right. My first love you’re every breath that I take, you’re every step I make. And I (IIIIIII), I want to share all my lu-ooooove with you…no one else will do. And your eyes (your eyes, your eyes), they tell me how much you caaaaarrree, ooooh yeah you will always be my endless loooove

Night folks!

And so it goes. The topic was first love. Then it morphed into a bunch of fools doing book and movie reviews, and just general bulls#!!.. But judging by the names/handles displayed, it doesn’t surprise me. It is confirmation that this town has completed the cycle from “once” great to being the cesspool that it is today… There were however some notable exceptions i.e. Susan, Randyt, and a few others who stuck to the prescribed format and actually had something meaningful to contribute.
