My first love

I found some old journals from high school recently and reading through it made me nostalgic. Everything back then was sooo dramatic and huge. The first person you thought you were in love with was the only person in the world for you. Ahh, to be young and foolish again.

I thought about how the first love of your life can sometimes set a precedent for future relationships. Sometimes we realize who is no good for us, sometimes we are too naive to know it until much, much later.

What do you think your first love taught you about relationships? Do you remember the first time you fell head over heels in love?

Have you ever wondered what happened to them? Is it ever a good idea to go look them up and see how they are doing?

Happy Friday!

thinner was a great way to start, sexy. i luved the way he described the nasty, pustular wart/sore/growth on the old gypsy’s nose. LOL

as much as i liked “it”, i must admit the ending (novel AND movie) left me like  same problem with tommyknockers. sometimes stevo just goes waaaay off the deep end. further in than even i can follow.

SCool/Leggs – I was feeling like you guys were about Greys and started not to watch it last night but glad I did. I actually enjoyed it. Debbie Allen was a trip. P Practice is starting to drag and looks like everyone has serious deep-seated issues. It can be a little draining to watch sometimes.

at the risk of seriously cementing my prudish image on this blog, i will go ahead and tell ya’s i’ve purchased and read just one zane novel EVER. i could barely get through it. still not sure i ever finished it. and i most certainly will not read zane again.

i was going through a black writer phase. i had no idea what i was getting into when i decided to try zane.

that reminds me, you folks need to be buying my niece’s stuff on amazon. she has now self-published three books. search for “twin prophecies” and “blog it out bytch”. please and thank you!

Brat – I will check out your niece’s books. I try to support up & coming writers that I have some connection to.

Oh, I guess I’m a bigger prude than you because I have never read a Zane book. Not out of prudishness though, just never been interested! (shrugs)

czB – I’m not a real Zane fan either. I think I have one of her books. When she gets graphic, I just skip over all that.

As a matter of fact, I tend to skip over the love scenes in all of the romance novels that I read. There are only so many ways that you can describe it. I read for the plot points and since most of what I read now has a comedic slant to it, I read to laugh.

@czB ~ I’ve read two of her books. The first one had me reading certain lines over and over (lol). I will never forget the umbrella, but was a little miffed with her short story about walking through the park on her lunch hour. No matter how freaky she can be, the story line was hard for me to follow. That chick is no joke!!!

@Sexy Cool if you love comedy type books have you read the Spellman Files by Lisa Lutz..about a family of private investigators.

As for Zane..I read two of her books I think sometimes her books are more nasty than erotic. Not that there is anything wrong with a little nasty naughty..but I digress.

Leggs – Greys kinda picked it up a little yesterday. With PP I guess I am missing Naomi. I don’t like Sam with Addison. They won’t let Addison keep a man. And Violet is the one that drives me the craziest. She has issues galore. What I am not understanding though, is why Peter can’t understand that she is not the stay at home mom type.

SCool – I would not pay a dime for Strawberry’s book! I cannot stand her answers to the Strawberry letters first of all. She stutters and give juvenile “duh” answers to everything. I actually like Steve’s answers better, which is not saying much. But I guess I don’t blame her for trying to ride the Steve Harvey gravy train and try to get that money!

On the books, not big on Zane either. Love EJD though!

And I am a lil peeved with both Grey’s and PP. PP, I dont like Sam and Addison together either just not a good fit to me. And whats up w Derek’s sister and Cooper and his chick (I can never remember her name)

I definitely remember my first love. I was in the 10th grade and really crazy about this one guy. I would talk to his twin brother all the time about him. As time went own, I started realizing my conversations were no longer about the brother. I had fallen for my friend and he for me. I didn’t know how to handle it, so about three months later, I broke up with him for this tall, handsome, green-eyed baseball player from another school. Since I loved baseball, it was only natural. Well, that relationship lasted a hot minute because I soon realized I missed my friend. I tried to talk to him again but he wasn’t hearing it. In my junior year, I was determined to get my friend back. Didn’t know if we would ever be boyfriend and girlfriend again, but I didn’t care about that. He had started dating another girl, but I would call anyway. He wouldn’t talk to me and ultimately, his sister told his new girlfriend that I was calling. The new girlfriend called me and told me that she was going to fight me for calling her boyfriend. I was to meet her near the football field. I knew I had to go because otherwise, this girl would torture me for the next year. She was twice my size, but I had to go. Well, she didn’t show up! A few weeks later, she called me and said all he talked about was me and that I could have him! We did get back together, but it was never the same. Since I was still a virgin, I had to deal with him cheating on me with girls that would put out. We broke it off before I went off to college. When I would return home for summers, we would try to date, but it never really worked. To this day, I still love him dearly, but I definitely moved on!

yup. walking driving and talking (back).

if you’re gonna send the tyke home before a diaper change you won’t be watching him/her for the weekend. you should just pop in on the parents and bounce the kiddie on your knee for a few minutes. hand him over right before he pukes.
