My first love

I found some old journals from high school recently and reading through it made me nostalgic. Everything back then was sooo dramatic and huge. The first person you thought you were in love with was the only person in the world for you. Ahh, to be young and foolish again.

I thought about how the first love of your life can sometimes set a precedent for future relationships. Sometimes we realize who is no good for us, sometimes we are too naive to know it until much, much later.

What do you think your first love taught you about relationships? Do you remember the first time you fell head over heels in love?

Have you ever wondered what happened to them? Is it ever a good idea to go look them up and see how they are doing?

Happy Friday!

I’m at the point where I’ll need to cut it open to scrape the last remnants of cream out of the tube.

LOL…I do this if I’m done to scraps with my Vera Wang

Lil Kym never ever ever wore training bras..I went straight to the real deal.

Ha, I’m ashame (not really) to say I didn’t wear “real” bras until the 9th grade. I still had knots my 8th grade year. LATE BLOOMER

Quick story:

Few years back I ran into a college girlfriend. She still had it. Looked great. I was at a golf course hitting a few bails at the drivin range.
I go inside to take a couple baskets back and there she was sitting in the lounge area.
You know how it is when you see someone you haven’t seen in years. You can hardly believe it. Well anyway, we start talking, catching up and I asked, “so you play?” (golf), by the way, if she had said yes it would have surprised me. She was not the athletic type of girl in college. She didn’t like to sweat.
She says no, I’m waiting on my daughter to finish up. I asked “where’s your daughter”, there she is down there on the end.
Mind you I had been on the range for a good 1hr and half. I had wondered who’s kid is that. No more than 13 or 14yrs old. Just crushing the ball.
Turns out her kid was a big Jr champ. Her kid was driving the ball further off the tee than me.
Now you’re right, that ain’t sayin’ much cause I’m a terrible Golfer. But none the less it was an impressive display to see a 13/14 yr old girl Knock hell out the ball like that.

@Fion ~ I like how the story quickly shifted from seeing an old gf to a young golfer swinging better than you.

After being WAY out of the loop on Grey’s Anatomy, I watched an episode last night. Every time they showed the baby on the screen, I had these weird maternal urges. I had to change the channel.

Yeah…I’m going to have to not watch for a little while until I deal with these issues. Otherwise, I will be making an announcement about a SexyCoolJr in the near future.

And Rock, you better not come on here and encourage that….IF you happen to be lurking today, that is.

Celisea, many blessings to you, yours sister and your mom. I was the “baby” of her four boys and my brothers and I went through what you are probably going through now. Yes, it can be very difficult at times but my brothers and I leaned on each other and our wives and children during that period. Now there were days when we boys were at each other throats but we always did what we thought our mother expected us to do.
I wish you and your sister strength. Having read many of your posts, I know you believe in the power of prayer.

Awwwww cba, that is so sweet. Many many thanks and for the encouraging words. How about eight kids, one deceased and out of 7 two does the physical work (and my SIL) and three of us take care of her. Sometimes I’m irked to no end but I can’t worry about what others won’t and don’t do. They’ll give an account. Same three that took care of my dad. And yes, even though the dimentia has progressively worsened, she talks about the Lord and is keeping the faith. Heck she’ll tell you to look up and stay encouraged and to keep the faith.

Every time I hear the song “Someone’s knocking and you can’t come in,” I think of Christine. Cracks me up every time. I loved the book IT!

@czB ~ let me know.

@Celisea ~ you have enough on your plate. Those who aren’t doing right by your mother definitely will give an account. Stand on your strength and the backs of those helping you. All that matters is the comfort of your mom right now.

SC….Sola is a very cute baby. I watched both Grey’s and X-Factor. I missed the audition. So I am a bit bitter about the show.
I was going to stay with my aunt in London and audtion there for the show about 2 years ago. They bring it to the states and I miss it. Ugh!

I LOVE Stephen King. Christine is a classic..oh and Pet Cemetery. I am not fond of clowns at all but “It” was good!

Now you know I’m shy and did my tidbit last week because I had some unknown regular on my tail. I think though for what it’s worth Blackfoote should be made an official blog Zaner because he pulled that off rather nicely last week. I’m sure he’d have no problem participating.

@SexyC ~ I didn’t know what to do either when I did my first one. If you look, mine are tame compared to other contributors (LOL).

Zaning is code for “Freaky Friday.” Bloggers post sensual snippets to complement the last line of a prior post. Sometimes just the women participate. One time just the men posted, and one time we all posted together. It can lead to beads of sweat on your forehead or feeling llike you need to grab a wet washclothes.sensual post.

i started reading king in grade school, so it just became a lifelong habit. long after his books were turned into movies. also loved tommyknockers and desperation.

but ahhhhh. doloris claiborne! and misery! that’s when i became a real fan of kathy bates. she was made fore king roles like grace kelly was made for hitchcock.

he has had more than a few duds too. the langoliers and rose madder come to mind. :(
