I met with a new client recently to talk about a project he was working on. I freelance as an editor to students, small businesses, etc. so I am used to meeting all types of people. I just wasn’t expecting to meet a Denzel doppelgänger.
When he walked in the library, I literally did a double take. For a millsec I actually hoped and wished that he was not the person I was meeting. I mean who can really focus and be professional when a 6′3 Adonis-type alpha male is sitting across from you!
To make matters worse, he is single and was referred to me by an ex-boyfriend. Not to mention, I have new guy still hanging in with me and my crazy schedule. Verdict: All signs point to “keep it professional, keep it moving” and act like a wise diva (Great, I hate this name now).
