Ex-Files: Who is your Kryptonite?
Most of us have dated enough people to have found their personal kryptonite. That one person who renders us stupid, powerless, and unable to make rational choices when they are around.
I had one and I am convinced he no longer has that power over me. It helps that I changed phone numbers, office locations, and I no longer see any mutual friends. But whatever. The point is, I can pretty much relax about him since he won’t pop up anywhere.
It’s strange how these people even get this kind of influence over us. It can be sex-induced, love-induced, or perhaps a mixture of both. Once you figure out how they became your kryptonite, you should be able to combat it.
Who is your kryptonite and why? What was it about them that made you a big pile of confusion?
What do you do to break the spell of people who have you feeling caught up and in a daze?

Naah Leggs. Really the bread accompanies more so the meat just can’t do sandwich bread if it’s collards I’m eating as my veggie. Heck I don’t really “like” collards. I’ll cook them for my kid and eat them by default.

I think my kryptonite is my current SO. The only thing is that I’m gaining my power back. I’ve let him have so much control of my feelings and we’ve gone through a really rough patch the last week, but I’ve come out stronger and will no longer let him affect me negatively. I’m on the brink of kicking him to the curb, but I love him so much. I have a feeling if we don’t make it through this patch and I do let him go, that he may be my kryptonite for a while. He had a hold on me about 8 years ago and he has a hold on me know. I just have to keep myself together and remember that I am number one! Sorry if this post seems a little rambling…I just have a lot on my mind after having a 4 hour convo with my SO last night after not speaking for over a week…

I don’t even know why folks like Sunny come on forums like this talking about creeping with married folks. They know that mess isn’t right and they know what the answer will be. And miss me with the “I just can’t say no” stuff either, no excuse! Most of the time I ignore that foulness, but had to share my disgust today!
Willie – Liked your description of me yesterday as a sniper! All day long I lay back in the cut. My kids know I always 2 steps ahead so they can’t get away with nothing!LOL!!

Matt – It ain’t always the women…let’s lay the blame all the way around. I was listening to Steve Harvey a couple of weeks back and he pretty much condemned a woman for an affair AND NEVER EVER MENTIONED THE MAN…that’s why I don’t like it. Anyway when folks called in, NOBODY NOT A SINGLE SOLITARY ONE would lean to his assessment. He either cut them off or rebutted or went to the next caller and quickly stop taking calls…lol One thing this dude said when he called in was he told Steve he needed to speak to both sides. He talked about having 3 daughters and would have a caniption if a dude preyed on his girls. He wasn’t excusing her but he was saying a man knows he’s playing on much more than a woman will either admit or attest to. He said that man knew women want love and played to that.
Not that don’t excuse Ms. Sunny cause she’s all big and bragadocious (sp) with her…

Married is married, committed is committed, I am not perfect either, but I am not desperate enough to pursue/condone someone with that type of moral compass, there is no good that can come out of cheating on someone else, unless that person is selfish enough not to care.

@Leggs Vest or not, there is big difference between right and wrong, a homewrecker is wrong, a cheating husband is wrong, if she wanted to do the right thing, she would go to him and break it off, and tell his wife, but we both know that isn’t going to happen. I won’t commend her for being honest, because she is not being honest with the people that matter, this is an anonymous blog.

I consider “homewreckers” any party with knowledge that a person has a committed relationship and cares for no one but themselves and what they want. They are selfish, and a more mean way of saying being the other guy or other girl. It is meant to be derogatory, and insulting.

They are both at fault…he should not have been entering into a marital situation still sexually involved with Sunny….and she should not have continued the sexual fiasco’s with him after knowing of his pending nuptials. I just don’t understand why folks go ahead with a marriage knowing full well they are STILL getting goosed by someone else. Then you have to continue a virus of rapidly multiplying lies to keep you indiscretions hidden. At some point, it will begin to unravel and now you’re hurting a person you claim to love & care about so much all for some banging booty. If it really is/was that good, then he should’ve married the booty.

I got plenty of vices Willie, I went on a 4 month alcoholic bender, got off of it in April, we’re talking everyday blackout drunk, racked up 7 grand in debt, almost all of it on liquor, during that time I did plenty. but never cheated never lied

Yup, got really effed up, thus my absolute and utter hatred of people who cheat and are involved in covering it up, hiding it when they have knowledge so on and so forth. Got a whole lot better when I just said screw it and don’t trust anyone, I have my fun, but I don’t let no one in, and I am happier for it.
