It is often said that men are visual creatures, but a lot of women want their man to be visually appealing, especially when it comes to height. Sometimes a guy who is “height challenged” will get overlooked for a guy who is taller.
Would you have a problem dating someone who is significantly taller or shorter than you?
Why does it become such an issue when it comes to physical attraction?
Is it silly to have a height preference or does it rank up there with the other shallow reasons we use not to give someone a chance?

Short – Why wouldn’t you give the plain girl a shot? Just like you want the tall girl to give the short guy a chance?
Just messing with ya!
Reio – I don’t see what your post proved? What was it about you that caught those girl’s eye that day? You didn’t say you rolled up in an Aston Martin or pulled out an Amex black card? What gives?

Let’s not talk about how much we make per say….but what salary is considered “a lot of money” and when ranking people in their money are we basing it off of net worth or just a salary that they are w2′ing?

kimmie – Don’t know. I assume they like the way I looked. Could’nt be the Buick Rendezvous I drove. It olny proves that some people are interested, men & women, in what they are interested in. Whatever it is, I, apparently, had it, as far as these two were concerned. And if I were similarly curious, I could go back and investigate.

Approximately 5-6% of people in the US make over $100K. Approx. 30% of family income is over $100K. So, I’d say that in realistic terms, one can say that $100K is a lot of money, relative to what the majority makes.

When I lived in Atlanta I drove a 4×4 lifted F250 that was always dirty. That never stopped me from having all types of women interested in me. Maybe it made me look rough rugged and protector like. Never led with my wallet either. I think non celebs who have money are not to flashy but do like nice things. LOL

No telling, Purp… in my line of work I have a lot of folks lying to me all the time, I have to consciously resist the influence on my thinking as to whether I think people have more of a propensity to lie. Me, I try to not be specific about how much I make. It never has a good outcome: the one who makes less will likely resent the one who makes more for one reason or another, then the one who makes more has to deal with that too.

Nothing to add to the discussion, really, except I couldn’t see dating a guy shorter than I am. But I’m 5′4″, so unless he lives in Lilliput…..

Purp – You got that right! I was watching something on tv the other day. This guy was talking about how whenever someone says “she has a great personality” that always means she’s not attractive. We all love to say it’s whats inside that counts, and at the end of the day that is what is most important. But everyone is superficial at first, no doubt about it! Luckily, there is always somebody for everybody!

Another O/T: I stopped at QTrip after work yesterday to play 329. I felt real strong about it because it’s the first 3 digits to my boss’ phone and he kept calling me from Lake Lanier bothering me. I’m still reeling….looked at slip for midday number and there it was

@SC ~ I’ve been looking out for your number. It hasn’t fallen. So, you haven’t wasted any $$. Play it now that we’ve brought it back up. Remember, play one up one down. Meaning 931 or 731. But, you can pick whatever number you want to be one up one down. Doesn’t necessarily have to be the first number (lololol).

Always has been that way. Ever seen the episode of the Andy Griffith show where Andy and Barney are trying to set Gomer up with Thelma Lou’s aesthetically challenged cousin? What did they say over and over when Gomer asked what she was like? “She’s nice, Gomer, she’s rrrreeaaalll nice!”

Short and Proud, basically a salary of 60k was being touted as a lot of money by someone here on the blog. She was living the high life and one of our current members used to bring her down a knotch regularly which would then lead to a internet cat fight. There were flying lace fronts, barbie doll cars and humpbacks all over the place.
