Are you dating a wild card?

There is something hot about meeting a person that intrigues you. Whether they are into the same things you are – or they are opening you up to a whole new world that is new to you. Spending time with them becomes a ride that feels risky, wild, and perhaps slightly insane.

Dating those wild card types can also be scary, especially when you don’t know what to expect! Have you ever dated the spontaneous type with a wild side?

Oh it’s all fun and games until your date blindfolds you and you end up on a skydiving adventure!

As I get older *cough*, I tend to become more and more cautious. I may take calculated risks but blindly trusting a new person is a challenge for me! Am I the only killjoy?

What would you do if someone you were dating blindfolded you (not the kinky blindfold) and wanted to take you somewhere? Would you be able to relax and enjoy the ride?

Do you think you could balance out things if you dated a wild card?

Are you the wild card type that people you date have to adjust to? Do you find it difficult getting your dates to walk on the wild side with you?

Do you ever tell your date about your personal boundaries so they won’t cross the wild side line with you?

Happy Friday!

Last Fun thing I did, couple I was taken out for a night out on the town. Dinner @ the Palm. dancing at Bella’s. It’s amazing how much better a steak taste when your girl picks up the check.

Last Wild thing was last October. I broke my slump by pulling Ol’ Girl out the club and went home with her.

This is bizarre: 33% of people surveyed, mostly women, would give up sex for a week rather than give up their smartphone. 83% of iPhone users think they’re best suited romantically to other iPhone users. 22% would rather go without brushing their teeth than without their smartphone (yuck).

http://technolog.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2011/08/04/7250458-survey-one-third-would-rather-give-up-sex-than-phone

People have come to identify with their PHONES! Like some people identify with their cars! That’s just plain weird.

We have done the Dialog in the Dark tour at Atlantic Station. That’s about as close to a *blind*-folded date as we have been so far. But hey…I’m a bit adventurous and I trust TheDude with my life. So I’d be all for it.

Actually, that’s not that shocking. Hubby & I are wonderfully suited for each other and we are iPhone users.

I lost my phone when I was in Vegas. You would have thought I had lost an eye, I felt so lost. And I’m not a big phone person either.

Did the survey say go without sex for a week or go without iPhone for a week? Or did it say go without sex for a week or go without phone indefinitly? That would make a difference.

Dang, most of you people are boooooooring….. Sky Diving, biggest charge of my life. I’d do it in a heartbeat. Bungie Jumping, another charge. Scared me witless, but afterwards I wanted to do it again. Roller Coasters, the faster and wilder, the better. Dates, sponteneity, derring-do and a sense of adventure are more my style. Picnics….yawn, Day at the Museum…ZZZZZ, coffee or tea in the evening….check please, watching the sun come up….only if we’re nekid. Different strokes for different folks, I guess. By the way, I’m 48 years old.

Slim – it’s an okay experience. Much like Bodies. We did a staycation some months back, played tourist all weekend.

It’s cool to say that we’ve done it. But it’s not something that I found to be overly exciting.

I think if they did something like that where you could be in the dark for a couple of days then that would be a length of time that would have a more lasting impact.

I have to much fun to remember the last exact thing that was fun. Last wild thing I have done was probably baiting wolves while hunting.

As far as the blindfolding goes, if she want to blindfold me she can and take me anywhere she wants to.

One person’s wild side is another person’s bore. I don’t do much things that might scare me to death. Plain and simple. Bungee jumping is a man-made apparatus that can snap at any moment. Never will I take that chance. Rollercoasters can derail, get stuck, what have you. I was a fool to do it that one time.

God job on the exercising ladies. We arrived in Providence lastnight, so no running for me until the big race. It’s Dante and I hanging out today, Jules went to NYC for some shopping and to watch some play and come back in the morning.

On the President Obama thing, they set the tone when they called im “liar” early on and it was not addressed properly. Now “tar baby” and “boy” don’t seem as bad because people feel they can say anything about the guy. Whether you like him or not he is still the POTUS and should be respected as such. And because racism exists and will not go away does not mean that you have to condone it and not do anything about it. I’m sure there were some back in the day that said slavery exists and it will not go away. If the POTUS is black, white male or female give that position the respect it deserves whether you agree with what the person is doing or not. Also a good key indicator is if someone just calls him “Obama” rather than President Obama………….think on that for a minute.

Purple Rain…..Yeah kind of like how the Dems never called Bush any names?? HAHA that is funny!

You can respect the office of the POTUS however you do not have to agree with or support every decision that he makes.

Right! Like everytime we discuss Bill Clinton we always call him “President Clinton” or if we discuss George Bush we ALWAYS call him “President Bush”. you know that is not the case and has nothing to do with race.

UGA so you are saying that a recent President was addressed in a deragotory manner openly to is face or via media. When? And if you read what I typed I said respect the presidency no matter who it is, to me it’s about RESPECT for the position. And yes I address whomever the President is by saying President first when talking about them or initiating a conversation. Stop looking for a racism fight here. I fight more for equality from a people stand point not a racial stand point.

Do you think you could balance out things if you dated a wild card?

I’d balance it out and encourage it as well…depends on the mood/situation.

Are you the wild card type that people you date have to adjust to? Do you find it difficult getting your dates to walk on the wild side with you?

I wouldn’t say “adjust” exactly but I do preface the men I date with my little disclaimer, “I don’t always know what I’m gonna do but I promise you I won’t break any skin, make you bleed or get either of us arrested”(seriously I do)…

I mean there are times where I feel impulsive and I KNOW part of me is an exhibitionist and I want to do some sh!t I really shouldn’t because…it’s FUN… I promise we’d be the only two to know and that’s how it goes down…
