Friends don’t let friends cheat

I recently read an article about a groom to be who hooked up with a stripper at his bachelor party. Apparently, it was suggested/cheered on/witnessed by his friends to have one final romp. I thought about what kind of predicament the man found himself in and almost felt bad for the guy. Almost.

I mean if he stood his ground and said no, absolutely not, what is the worst that would have happened? He would have been clowned and maybe endure a few jokes about it. In my female and totally logical mind (ha), that is a small price to pay.

I am curious as to why people encourage someone to cheat on their mates. If you decide on your own, that’s one thing. Why go out of your way and prod a friend to do the same?
It may seem like this happens among males more but I think females are guilty of it just as much.

Do you think too many of us encourage, support, and condone infidelity?

When you are dating someone, do you ask them if they have ever cheated or been unfaithful? Do you find out what their views are about infidelity? What if all or most of their friends were unfaithful to their mates?

Happy Friday!

@Celisea ~ Oh, ok…you don’t mix the fish in with the grits? I don’t like my food or mushed up together. Main reason I was leary about the shrimp and grits, but they were very good.

I think my kids are throw-backs. They knew how to pick bones by 4 and eat blue crabs as well. My Son could shuck Oysters with the best of them by time he was 5.

Leggs – Some folk like to mash stuff up in grits, like eggs. I’ve never seen people mix the fish & grits, but I’m sure some do it. For shrimp & grits, it’s usually like a gravy or scampi that’s served on top of the grits, at least that’s the way I’ve always had it.

I notice some northerners cring at the mention of fish & grits, maybe that’s what they were thinking? No, the grits are on the side, like mashed potatoes or rice.

No way…lol Fish on the side :)

Bone in fish can be found at the curb market (down by Grady…ya’ll know the place..lol) or farmer’s market. I LOVE fish with bones. I have a cousin that will have it no other way. I’m always bumming from her when she cooks it.

@kimmie ~ I’m a northerner and I’d always cringe. Never thought to ask if it’s mixed or not. Everyone in my family mashes their grits, eggs, bacon, or sausage together. I was the only one who didn’t. I use to ask my mother if I was adopted because I was so different on so many levels.

Leggs, yeah I never have liked food mashed together, like people do with babies! I can see where that would be a turnoff.

Same with the chicken & waffles – served on the side. But that’s actually a new thing with me. I’ve never been to Gladys Knights, but I did go to Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles in LA. It was great, probably better to me than it really was. At the time, I’d been out there about a week and eaten mostly Mexican. I was so sick of it, I was missing comfort food! Rosco’s, with it’s old decor, felt like I was back in Atlanta on ML King at somewhere like Busy Bee!

Kimmie~Fish and grits was a comfort food for me…bring back memories!!!

I notice some northerners cring at the mention of fish & grits..I’ve noticed this as well along with midwesterners too. My ex-husband eat sugary grits, and they serve rice for breakfast :(

Leggs~I keep canned salmon and sardines in the cabinet!

Sassy~We did too! Just had some Blue Crabs a few weeks ago..Delish It’s nothing like having a crab boil with corn and sausage in the mix!

Has anyone tasted the creamy grits at Copelands and/or the Flying Biscuit? I think it is the cream cheese and other cheeses that makes it yummy!

True story told by my co-worker…a childhood friend of hers eye was knocked out by their mom as a result of their disobedience. I told her I couldn’t imagine explaining to others how I lost my eyesight. What ever that child did must have REALLY made that mom mad! SMH

Whew…I’m glad for my switches and welts cause losing an eyesight to a MKO(mama knockout) would be unsightly for real :/
