You never forget your first kiss, your first love, or your first heartbreak! What is it about our firsts that leave such a lasting impression on us?
Do you recall your first love? Do you ever get the urge to check in with them and see where they are in life? Have they ever tried to find you?

this is not exactly the headspace i want to be in as i kick off my weekend, but i’ll get things rolling. don’t think much about my first love. don’t particularly care where he is or what he’s up to. he recently called our daughter to inform her he’s a dad AGAIN. ugh! just wish he’d settle all that backed up child support he owes me.
i have no prob “recalling” him cuz there’s a 19-year-old replica walking around my house as we speak. what did i learn? you get ONE CHANCE to play me for a fool! for your sake, make it count. that is all.
now … if you want to talk about my good, GOOD love we can do that all day long.

Good Friday Morning!!!! i hear ya loud and clear CZ…in the same place here. My first love was also my first (and only) husband…..was the boy next door, no less. I have a grown son also that is sooo much like him, even his mannerisms. His dad chose not to be part of his life so for a long time my feelings were anger and bitterness…but now feel nothing at all. I guess time does take care of most things. I’m with you, let’s move on to happier times and people!!!

Morning,
While it may seem weird, I had a boyfriend (lost my virginity to), my daughter’s father….and then my first love…in that order. Yes I can recall, no I don’t have a urge to check up on him. What did I learn? Probably more about myself than him. A ton of life lessons

LOL @ blondie. oh yeah. my son is soooo much like his father, but i love him anyway.
actually, the first 5-7 years of our relationship were quite good, but the divorce was rough and he completely abandoned the kids when all was said and done so i wouldn’t cross the street to spit on him if he were on fire right about now. might run over there and pour some gas on him though.
i am thankful for all the
dramagrowth opportunities that brought me to this place where i share love, respect and a great friendship with a wonderful man. no regrets.*raising my cappuccino to toast our happier times* cheers!

Good morning, good morning!
I can recall my first kiss. His name was Scott. Light-skinned, green eye mulatto. Couldn’t kiss at all. I remember it well. UUGGH!
I would like to inquire about one teenage bf. Dark skin, beautiful eyes. He’s probably dead cuz even back then I saw him going down the wrong path.
“….i wouldn’t cross the street to spit on him if he were on fire right about now. might run over there and pour some gas on him though. Thanks for the laugh first thing this morning!

Sure I remember my first love. I’m married to her.
A chick from high school looked me up quite awhile back. Then she showed up in town. I was/am the one she can’t get over. I told her to focus on her husband and children, and removed the classmates.com account she tracked me through. Classmates, Facebook, etc., are pretty bad for stuff like that, and only one reason why I don’t participate in them.

leggs, you just got me thinking of my first crush. i was gaga for that dude from about age 8. finally gave up trying to catch his eye and, dontcha know it, he asked me to be his gf when we were 14. well-trained on how to be a gentleman even at that age. i recall going to concerts in central park, movies on 42nd st. and off-broadway plays with him. still miss him and wish him all the best. kept in touch with his parents for a while. *sigh* good times!
oh my! my first laugh goes to BMW

My first love, was a cheerleader for a rival team. I noticed her while I was playing. She lived two towns over, I met her after our game and asked to take her home. I courted her for a few months I even got a kiss or two. But I really enjoyed her, all smiles on my end. She and her family moved to Missouri, I searched and searched for her for a long time. I can still remember what she wore the last time I saw her, how her hair was done, how she smelled and all of her mannerisms like it was yesterday. I really haven’t thought about her in 5 or 6 years until this topic.

1st I want to let everyone know that today all day I will be speaking in my Joseph A. Bank commercial voice.
2nd Why did this “i have no prob “recalling” him cuz there’s a 19-year-old replica walking around my house as we speak.” remind me of that scene from the Brothers with Billy Bellemy and his momma. Hug me momma! Momma! Hug me!

My first love came in a six pack. Then our love grew to a 12 pack. Then it blossomed into something wasn’t expecting a case. And we are still in love to this very day. As matter of fact, I’m going to love it as much as I can tonight.
Don’t you just love, love stories????

Every time I hear the song “Dancing Machine,” I think of Maurice. That boy could dance, but he loved white and always reminded me of The Good Humor man!!

Initially saw my first love on a transit bus commuting to school. It took me six weeks to build up the courage to say hi and ask for her number. Between her being gone that entire summer and her warming up to me, it took about six months to win her over, but I persevered because I was experiencing emotions on a whole new level and it felt really good. I thought she’d become my wife but it ended when I relocated for a job. Truth was I wasn’t ready and she was probably looking for a way to leave home to escape her mom; it’s probably best that it didn’t happen.
Last I heard of her was she lived near a relative and had gained some weight. Wouldn’t mind seeing her again to catch up but think she might be married.

Me and my first true love dated for about 3 years. We broke up after out first year of college (different schools). We remained friends for 15 years thereafter keeping in touch. We touched on the subject a few times and exchanged a few “I Love You” statements. He lived in another state so the distance was a huge factor. He came home one Christmas and we met for a normal catch-up dinner. We talked and after dating long distance we are engaged. I never stopped loving him and it seems the feeling was mutual. He said he spent his life trying to find someone just like me until he realized he was looking for something that he already knew where to find it. I believe he is my true love. I think that first love never goes away. They are always there in a small special place in your heart.
