Summer Getaways
As much as I love living in this city, I love visiting other places. It’s good to get way from time to time! Not only do you get a break from the grind, you get a chance to taste the good life other places has to offer.
I was in New Orleans earlier this month attending the wedding of a wonderful couple! I was so happy to see them so in love and excited about their future together. (BTW: It was the coolest wedding EVER).
New Orleans is just a romantic place to be, single or not. Between the food, music, and especially the people, you are bound to have a great time. I hope to get back to New Orleans for the Essence Festival and I will be headed out to volunteer on my annual trip in Mexico next week. I would love to squeeze in a quick trip to LA or NY this summer too.

I paid $32.67 for a XBOX 360 and my mom got a 17 inch Toshiba laptop for $94.83 being delivered to our house tomorrow by FedEX. I will never again pay expensive retail prices at stores. My plans for the summer is goings to St. Croixs with Mr. NewNew and me and Ms. Yvonne going to Hawaiis for a week. I may even go to my brothers timeshears in Destin. FUN! Been geting my racks together al year.

Yeah..that one is new to me and I’m in love with a hiphophead. But…then too…I don’t think some of these new rap songs count as hiphop or even real music for that matter.

Leggs – The song is a bit annoying, Racks on racks on rack…plus if you’re a lyric person, don’t bother trying to understand what he’s saying. I think as we get older, our ears change just like your taste buds change. Back in the day, I couldn’t understand why my mom didn’t want to hear ‘rap’ or whatever I was bumping to at the time. Now at times, I find myself just turning the radio off because I feel like my brain cells are dying more rapidly when I hear some of these quote unquote songs. And does everything have to be synthesized?

I don’t know the titles to all the songs, but it’s lil leggs favorite CD. Every morning, that’s what she’s getting dressed to. I’ll listen to see which song #5 is. Rolling in the Deep is played a lot on 99.7 and 98.5. The little whoofers in my car are maxed out when this song comes on.
