Good morning,

Looks like i’m going to miss a lot of the comments on this one today….

‘Do you think that doing dumb things for the person you love is a part of being in a relationship?’

Um, what exactly would you consider a ‘dumb thing’ in the name of love would be? Examples?

Leaving little I miss u notes all around the house?
Driving almost an hour at the drop of a hat to go see them?
Dressing up in a tiger mascot uniform to appease the SO?

I honestly think that love makes you blind, deaf and dumb. I fell in love with a man and when I was in it I was head over heals and thought he was the most wonderful man I’d ever met.

It wasn’t until I was out of it that I realized how selfish, thoughtless and emotionally unavailable he was.

I know that love can make us do some crazy things.

When you have blinders on, and you’re in denial about the obvious is when I would say that love would make you dumb especially when the actions of another is not reciprocated.

Are we to be held responsible for our actions when we are head over heels, falling hard (and fast) in love?

Of course, you can’t blame anyone else other than yourself especially if it keeps happening. We should be accountable for our own actions at some point in life.

maybe there should be some clarification about what dumb things we speak of as making sacrifices and it’s reciprocated wouldn’t apply to the topic….I would think if you’ve fallen hard for someone where you are going above and beyond and there’s nothing in return to make you feel appreciated and loved would be dumb. Examples: Overlooking someone’s bad behavior and/or habits because of not being content with being single and happy so you compromise, continuing to be someone’s ATM when there’s obviously a problem with their finances, and I am sure there’s more to add to the list!

Being dumb in love is okay because you know the other person has your best interest at heart. If that person doesn’t you are probably not in love but only a facsimilie…and that is an issue you have to work out on your own. There is no reason to lose common sense when in love. If you are still holding back in certain areas I question if you are really in love.

Think about it….what drives someone to kill a human being over another….LOVE!

What makes you give your last dime to someone knowing that you will suffer…and you don’t care…LOVE!

I could go on. Love distorts a usually rational person’s mind until they are almost unrecognizable. Ever find yourself doing stuff you never did….knowing it’s crazy and will bite you in the a$$ later? Ever see/know of someone who had it all, and lost it because they chose stupidly? Yep…it’s that Devil called love! I created a motto. And it is, “the heart is strong, but often wrong”!

It would be wonderful if love could be like it is in the movies…or how mommyand /or daddy boosted it up to be when you were a kid. I like fairytales. But damnit…they set you up for a big dissapointment when you realize you have been bamboozled…hoodwinked…and a house has fallen on you!

We were in the ER at Piedmont and there were 2 young girls I assumed was my daughter’s age. Well my daughter and nieces left ahead of us and went on home. SCool – Agree about dressing kids age-appropriate. My mom was adamant about that. I developed early, but she was able to dress me strategically, to camoflage until my age caught up with my body. I don’t get parents allowing kids to dress like hoochies & thugs, but later will be crying on tv when someone mistakes them for just those images! Our kids have to overcome enough – don’t need clothing thrown in the mix! Plus, especially with girls, it reenforces the mindset that more emphasis be placed on her body and not her mind. Not good.

LEGGS, I keep forgetting to ask, do you play fantasy 5? I know you have been successful with cash 3. In the last few weeks, there have been three large winners of fantasy 5. Two were 600,000+ and one 900,000+. I played the 900+ for a couple of days and got 2 of 5 numbers both time. They give you one free ticket for the following day. Oh well.

@cba ~ just started playing Fantasy 5. Last night I played 972 and 971 fell. All I could do is stare at the tv! I’ve been playing 0125 in Cash 4 for a while now, but that stubborn a$$ number refuses to fall. 0255 fell midday yesterday!

LEGGS….I noticed Evelyn’s daughter too. I can’t lie…I looked older as a teen because of my body. But my face showed my true age. I used to get hit on all the time by older men. The respectful ones kept it moving when I said I was 16. The pervs was trying to be on it like groupies at the Superbowl! It scares me because I have a 15 year old cousin who has almost the same body except she has real hips. And these dudes look at her like we are the same age. I’ma catch a case!
