Fall for your type

It can be daunting trying to figure out why we are always drawn to a certain type of person. Honestly, sometimes it feels like one of life’s great mysteries, with no rhyme or reason to it.

Attraction has a way of making us forget that we have met and dated a certain type before..even when it ended badly. I’m guilty of having relationship amnesia and I end up right back in the same predicament. It’s an awful deja vu moment to think that you have chosen the wrong type of person to invest time in.

Do you have a type that you always seem drawn to? Do you ever wonder why?

This is why I am such a big fan of going against type and leaving your comfort zone in dating. I have had good experiences when I give it a try! If you were to date someone totally opposite of who you usually are drawn to, what do you think would happen?

The men I date all seem different in my eyes, but my friends and family always point out that he is my ” type”. Seems as if it can be something I do subconsciously; so how does one change that?

I will say that overall the men i’ve dated were pretty decent guys…and so far i’ve been greatful to not have had to deal with anyone in the SCUMBAG category.

Bom dia peoples! Hmmm…type? Meh, always older, conservative, freaky (yeah), prone to spoiling (yeah), controlling (booo) and forever thinking the could “tame” me (WTF?).

Working on the vetting process to illuminate the control issue(s) sooner.

Going opposite of my type does not make sense to me because my type is what I like and if it is opposite that I will end up bored.

Lord knows I have a type. And that type is simply called “All wrong”! I am a magnet for scuzzbuckets. They lie…for different reasons and about different things. I am a sucka for a good looking man. Hell…who wants an ugly one? I have tried the dating outside the physical attraction box..and it went no where. I liked them as friends because they were nice to me and we could have fun. But as soon as they tried to do anything physical with me….wall went up and I did a Forrest Gump. I ran like I thought Cynthia of RHOA should have! So physical attraction is #1…if I am attracted to you and you have the nice personality to match…then we are good. But I have not met that one that would make me feel like I have all of what I want and would keep me from a wandering eye (I am my sperm-donor’s kid after all) ;-)

Good morning all
It is like asking yourself to turn the natural subconscious part of attraction into a process of conscious specific action. May take some of the fun out of it. You like what you like. Reasons are sometimes hard to know.

Morning

I tend to be attracted to “earthy” types and free spirits., but my “type” hasn’t been a bad thing for me.

If you were to date someone totally opposite of who you usually are drawn to, what do you think would happen?
Hmmmm, then they would be me. As much as I love myself….no thanks. lol

Maybe we should turn the HOT light on so folks will know we are open for business. Where is everybody?
Slim maybe they all got banned. it’s like that movie Langoliers up in this joint. lol

Off topic…fellas, do you guys sort of expect something from the ladies for Valentines Day (no matter how big or small)..because it seems to have a stigma of it being more of FOR the ladies??

Purple Rain

10:27 am

Slim, yes I do. I am showing her love everyday of the week and even more love on that day. So even though it I do not put an expectation on what I want from her on that day. She better give me something or show an act of kindness other than sex, oral or dinner. Write me a poem about how awesome I am or something.

Good morning, Dreams!

“This is why I am such a big fan of going against type and leaving your comfort zone in dating.”

Not for me. I’m staying on the menu. No off the menu specials for me.
Nothing is absolute, but within a variation here or there I know what I like. Usually the women I date all fall within the parameters that I find attractive.

Purple Rain

cba, the Bison are used to it and love this kind of weather, also the cows love it as well. As long as you have a windbreak “wall”they are fine. Everything is goes in a heated barn. If it is icy out we bring the cows in because we don’t wont them to slip and break a leg or something, but they are built for the cold.

Slim I don’t really get into Vday, so I never expect anything. I don’t really expect gifts on any holiday though. Vday IS for the ladies though, no mistake about that. And “Langoliers” was ok. It’s a Stephen King movie…you know those can be hit or miss.

Purple Rain

Good morning, PR! You doing ok? I know you are…every turn you take, you’re surrounded by love! Stay blessed!

@SlimNU ~ have you noticed the new Valentine’s commercial that’s geared toward the day being about “us,” rather than it being about the woman?

Purple Rain

February 1st, 2011

cba before winter comes we have to swath a few field so once the snow hits they can still go through the hay under the snow to eat the grass. Also it’s cheaper in the winter because instead of watering them they will just eat snow instead. It gets more expensive when you keep them inside because you have to bring in their food, usually corn( a cow eats over 100lbs of food per day) and you have to shovel a lot of manure out just to keep things clean as well as water them. But they love being outside in the cold

cba

PR, if you have bisons, you have a little gold mine. I’ve heard there’s a high demand but it takes longer to get them to market. Longer than cows. I think Ted Turner has a couple of millions so he might bring the prices down. Ok, this is all about farming :-)

Purple Rain

Valentines day should be about the man since every other day of the year is about the woman. LOL

PURPLE..if cows are built for cold…the Cali cows must be miserable!

Hey…since your wife is in her second tri-mester….you guys should take pictures, professionally and amateur home photos. You can get the edible body paint (ciomes in many flavors) and make designs on her belly (and other spots) and take pictures. Then she can do the same for you. The glow in the dark paint it soooo much fun! It’s fun for V-day and it will be a memory. It’s also your last V-day as a childless family. next year you will have to find a sitter to enjoy day.

SLIM…you know I am all about costumes. I say dress up in s sexy cupid costume with wings and chase him around the house all night with and arrow. But I am pretty sure you’d be the one to get poked!

Morning all –

I guess the most common theme in my “type” has been that they’ve all been tall. That’s about it. And “good guys” too…don’t like thugs or bad boys. All of em have been corporate types, with dependable jobs, but have entrepreneurial asperations…businesses on the side that are successful or just starting up. And they’ve always been big on family and treating their mother’s with respect. Oh and no kids.

But timing is everything and I’m good for finding a guy in the crossroads of his life. So here we are.

AmazonRed™

Of course, my ghetto cousin would probably say I like em square and I won’t argue with that. I guess the common theme is that these guys are responsible…they keep their money straight, steadfast about wrapping it up…etc.

She, of course, wound up with a guy who got her and some other chick pregnant within a year span of each other. *shrugs*
