Liquid courage required to date?

There are a lot of “social crutches” people tend to lean on in dating these days. Some people seem to think that they need alcohol to help them feel at ease. I think this is partly why a bar can be a bad place to meet someone for the first time. You don’t know if you are getting a really good “sober” representation of their personality (Let’s not forget beer goggles).

To be honest, drinking doesn’t always give you liquid courage. It can actually change your personality…for the worse. It’s amazing to meet people who have gone through life not realizing that when they drink too much their behavior is awful.

What is your drinking policy for dating? Do you date drinkers?

Do you limit your alcohol intake when you are on a date?

Has anyone ever told you that you behave differently when you have had a couple of drinks?

Celisea, when I copied and pasted their exchange and then translated it that pretty what she said word for word. That’s why I am wondering why the comment at her today. (kanye shrug)

This isn’t the first time…since I can remember reading LV that’s been the one constant. Why?…I don’t know…

off topic vent —-> now that i’m back in property mgmt i’m reminded how annoying it is when the little raggamuffins get off the school bus and come charging into the office looking to raid the snacks we put out for prospective residents. smdh.

carry on.

Random – Ok, these coworkers are getting obssessed with this whole imaginary wedding thing. I am told that I have a visitor at the front, so I get up puzzled wondering who would be here to see me. I get up there but don’t see anyone out in the lobby…nor does the receptionist know what i’m talking about. So i dilly on back to my office. I look down and what do I see? A flyer from Macy’s with a couple on the front in a sweet embrace dressed in wedding attire. It’s a advertisement for 20% off the bridal registry….UM…????…

czBrat – NOPE, didn’t miss any news at all. Slim still has a vacancy on my ring finger and no previous ring tan lines either. No proposals…not even close. lol

Ared – Nope, don’t work at the call center either. Nice try tho ;-)

‘We wants to go in on this bet with me? Slim will married or engaged before summer’

Raqi – If I get married or engaged within the next few months, then that must mean some contraceptive was defective. Buddy recently opened up with accepting his “Love” feeling for me, so I seriously doubt a proposal is in tow anytime in the near future.

I used to by that for my kid when she was little…she just loved loved loved it…I couldn’t even stand the smell. She learned that habit for daycare. After around 9ish, I think she woke and realized, ummm this ain’t it. It was more so spaghetti-o’s and then beef ravioli

Celisea – I will put that Congrats on ice for now…but I will defrost it in the case that Mrs. CoworkerCleo happens to ever be right. ;-)

Raqi – Well, I’m not saying I would be disappointed if she were right…but it does sort of freak me out a little, to finally be presented with something that I claim to want. I’ve never been proposed to, so I’m sure I’d probably pass out or just think it was a practical joke.

Speaking of Chef Boyrdee, i’ll eat some ABC’s & 123’s every once in a blue moon.

My kid was weird…she LOVE collards (even as a tot) and fruit…to no end. Would NOT eat a happy meal nor a hot dog and still won’t eat a hot dog or even a homemade hamburger…she’s got to be mighty hungry to eat a hamburger. Usually it’s chicken or chicken fingers, wings (fried, stewed, baked…whatever), LOVES salad, used to eat for snack cut up boiled okra (in a bowl). If I buy chips or cookies or sweets she won’t eat any of it…NONE. Hot wings and fries is about the most junk food she’s going to do but she’s a pretty solid eater.
