I resolve to live it up!
It can be pretty profound hearing about “untimely” deaths and seeing really tragic events take place right at the end of the year. I’m normally pensive and reflective as it is, but when I take a moment to consider how life really is a journey, I begin to think about making the journey more meaningful.
Life is short. Life is beautiful. Life is precious. If anything this past year has taught me, its that you can plan all you want but sometimes you have to just enjoy life as it comes.
I resolve to focus less on what is missing because it takes away from appreciating what’s not missing.
I have a propensity to plan everything and I try to take small, calculated risks (Exciting, I know, it’s how I roll!) Throwing caution to the wind can actually be a fun thing (within reason?), so I would love to see what happens when I try it.
I can only make one dating resolution that I know has a high success rate: Have fun. That’s it. What about you? Do you think making resolutions work?

Celisea, I agree. While laws don’t make all do the right thing all the time, it does make some think twice and not do.
Yeah, I get to the stop sign or light many times rushing and want to run it when there are no cars around, but not only is it against the law and I may get a ticket but that law protects me from having a car going 45 run into the side of mine.

Making it legal made the product more accesible.
The impacts of prohibition have been studied ad nauseum, and one of the results of the studies is that bootlegging made alcohol just as accessible as it was when it was legal. The death was not just limited to peddlers. Tens of thousands of alchohol consumers died each year under prohibition from drinking moonshine that was made with denatured alcohol. So, people died as a result of accessibility, in addition to people dying from drinking alcohol that was made by distributors without the proper knowledge. If that’s the case, then all over-the-counter medication should also be made illegal since it also makes drugs accessible to people who may lack good judgment.

2 can, one thing that p!ss me off though, you CAN NOT move such hugh amount of drugs’n'guns without the aid of the feds/local cops…folks be cheering about a few million pounds of coke or green bust, when billion of pounds are pouring in each year…war on drugs is a joke.

Raqi – 4:25….again, agree…can’t see what they don’t get about keeping order. Know good and dang well folks crazy now will be total fools without boundaries. The jail right now if filled with folks doing what they wanted and what felt alright to do…no regard for other folks homes, properties, lives. Heck I’ve been burglarized twice as recent last month and they tore my house up….cut all lines, backup lines everything…killed the power and all. They’d tried before but couldn’t get the alarm to shut off soooo, they studied how to get it done a second time. Yeah, we need laws, jails, prisons…you name it.

Oh and I’ll go further since we’re talking folks doing whatever the heck they feel like doing….some nut that walked on in my yard, on my porch rang my door bell…more than once. When I asked him to leave on the 2nd visit he went ballistic…yeah, had to call the cops. Dude threatened to hurt me if I asked him to leave again OFF MY PROPERTY!!! But ya’ll say no order no laws. Well dude just felt it was his right to come on my property and when I wasn’t cool tripped on my…in my yard, violating my rights, threatening my life….all cause that’s what he felt like doing…no regard for me and mine..gheesh

Not really…if a person care not enough about one’s self to not destroy how or why would they care about the next person? Maybe I’m misreading but I thought the point driven is if you allow a speck, you have a spot next…so forth and so on.
