It can be pretty profound hearing about “untimely” deaths and seeing really tragic events take place right at the end of the year. I’m normally pensive and reflective as it is, but when I take a moment to consider how life really is a journey, I begin to think about making the journey more meaningful.
Life is short. Life is beautiful. Life is precious. If anything this past year has taught me, its that you can plan all you want but sometimes you have to just enjoy life as it comes.
I resolve to focus less on what is missing because it takes away from appreciating what’s not missing.
I have a propensity to plan everything and I try to take small, calculated risks (Exciting, I know, it’s how I roll!) Throwing caution to the wind can actually be a fun thing (within reason?), so I would love to see what happens when I try it.
I can only make one dating resolution that I know has a high success rate: Have fun. That’s it. What about you? Do you think making resolutions work?
What does the new year make you think about?

That’s why they SHOULD be at home
That’s the whole problem, SHOULD. Make it legal and watch how fast it pours out onto streets. The only thing keeping folks “responsible” and behind their closed doors doing it is the fact that it is illegal.
Let the government open that door to make it legal and watch a lot of that responsibility vanish.

You do have good point made there about responsibilty vanishing. As you know in the eighties when crack was laying folks around in parks and breeze ways the govt. stepped up and reined in all that madness now some of those same indivduals have clinics to go to for a fix with shiny new needles. So has it already been legalized through the feds?

What irresponsible or harmful thing did marajuana ever make anyone do? Now ask the same thing about alcohol. Marajuana shouldn’t be any more illegal than cigarettes, alcohol, or over the counter drugs.

I choose to believe the legalization of alcohol is responsible for the many fatalities from people getting behind the wheel drunk. The government made it legal to buy. Although driving drunk is still against the law, that liquid courage has overshadowed rational thoughts for many individuals. Legalizing other drugs will do the same. Give them that ‘courage’ overriding being responsible.

Yeah I wouldn’t be surprised if someone actually tries to harm him. That Carlson dude said Mike should’ve been executed…executed. It’s all about color and us having a president that looks like us has a whole lot of crabby conservatives hell-a-mad. The current attitude(o’fay attitude) towards him lets us know that racism isn’t dead.

Making it illegal was responsible for the deaths of people who attempted to make alcohol on their own without the proper knowledge, as well as the deaths of those who were murdered in association with illegal bootlegging operations (ala Al Capone).

Celisea, all they have to do is wait. “It” and all other ‘enhancers’ will soon be legal. Nothing will be against the law and nothing will be wrong. All wrong will be deemed a man’s right. And this world is going to be hell to live in. I hope the end of my days will have come by that time.

2CPTG, you are only looking at it from angle. Yes legalizing it may eliminate a lot of the fallouts among the hooligans on one end, however it will just up the usage and lack of responsibility on the other end.

And this world is going to be hell to live in.
Bootlegging made the world hell to live in. The crime and murder associated with that was so horrrendous that they had to repeal prohibition. The same was true for running numbers. Legalizing both of those industries drastically cut down on violent crimes. Believe it or not, things were worse than they are today.

Raqi – I’m agree with your 4:07….if an inch is given a mile will be taken. There is no way in the world legalizing drugs will stop at that. I agree there’s a reason and a need for laws. As much as we might not want to admit and even as shady as things can be, without having some sort of “demand” for order it would be chaotic…like now in these times. I agree, look ahead the more we live the more wrong becomes right and right? Heck something is wrong with you if you hold to or live by a set standard. I too want to be gone on and I want my child to come with.

And keep in mind folks, prison is a billion dollars industry…legalizing a green and others hard stuff, will cut into their profit magin…drug cartel make 56% or more of their money from green sells. In order to keep green from being legalize, them jokers ramp up killing along our borders, lol crazy!!
