I resolve to live it up!
It can be pretty profound hearing about “untimely” deaths and seeing really tragic events take place right at the end of the year. I’m normally pensive and reflective as it is, but when I take a moment to consider how life really is a journey, I begin to think about making the journey more meaningful.
Life is short. Life is beautiful. Life is precious. If anything this past year has taught me, its that you can plan all you want but sometimes you have to just enjoy life as it comes.
I resolve to focus less on what is missing because it takes away from appreciating what’s not missing.
I have a propensity to plan everything and I try to take small, calculated risks (Exciting, I know, it’s how I roll!) Throwing caution to the wind can actually be a fun thing (within reason?), so I would love to see what happens when I try it.
I can only make one dating resolution that I know has a high success rate: Have fun. That’s it. What about you? Do you think making resolutions work?

About two or three weeks ago, a man in Burke county (I think near Agusta) had 19!!! dead dogs in his truck. He said they had become too aggressive. He was arrested. How many people have read or heard about this story? That’s what I thought.

Now you know NOT to mix tea with Shepard’s pie. 
But I know that feeling. MY Gastro Dr. put me on Mirolax to assist my slow digestion…GIRL….it felt like Rumble in the Jungle in my tummy. I felt like the commercial where the guy is at the table thinking not now..not now. And his girl’s father is asking him how he liked her cabbage stew. OOH of all things…cabbage!

LOL BlackMagic. I think that is what happened with Lizzy this morning. I heard her thru the monitor moving around and whimpering. I figured she must have been having a bad dream. The rustling around stopped and about 10 minutes later she was in full-blown crying fit.
She was wearing footy pjs thankfully so I didn’t have to change her sheets. But I did have to put her in the tub and put the pjs and undershirt in the washer.

Raqi – No I didn’t make it…I ate in the cafe today. It was actually pretty good and I hadn’t eaten it in YEARS so I figured i’d give it a try. I think it’s the tea I drank that has my instestines in turmoil right about now.

Funny you should mention that Slim. LOL When my youngest son was about 3 or 4 he got a virus from somewhere. He messed pants so I stood him in the tub to take his clothes off and get him cleaned up. While I was undressing him he threw up all over me and then proceeded to poop some more one my hands.
The things mothers endure for their youngins. LOL
While you sitting on the crapper get a trash can to hold in front of you.
Lawd let me stop, now I am feeling sick. Literally.

@2CP – I do believe in redemption. The fact is, that if you commit a crime, there will be people out there that will never forgive or forget, no matter if you’ve paid your debt to society. To me, it depends on the severity of the crime…
Heck, my boyfriend was in prison overseas for a stupid mistake he made. He paid his dues and is a better person for it. Actually, I wouldn’t be with him had he not gone through what he did because he has totally changed from the person I knew before. His penalty was actually very harsh for his crime, but he got caught in a country in S. America, which is known for inhumane conditions in prison. He has redeemed himself, but there will always be people who will continue to judge him for doing what he did. He will always be considered a criminal to many people even though he did not do anything too bad.

a friend of mine is having an issue with a guy/dating she is now letting go. she is like me to where we can’t be friends with guys who we have feelings for STILL but no longer dating. he is upset with her cause she won’t stick around to support his new relationship. :~/ he thinks it’s ugly of her to peace out! she said that it’s too much for her to stay and see all of that going down. was she wrong for not sticking around as a supportive friend, and saying goodbye (cut all communication off) with well wishes?

Slim, my dad comes from very humble beginnings so he grew up on foods like that. His grandfather raised him and he said most of their meals were scrapping and leftovers from other people. His gramps would make she-pies and casseroles out of the different foods he could get his hands on.
He and my mother did pretty good for themselves in careers and we did not have to depend on the gifts of other for food but my dad would still every so often make a dish that he so often ate growing up.
His she-pies were pretty good. He made some a few time that looks like what we know today to be a calzones. But on one end it had regular food (a cheesy ground beef mixture) and on the other end it would have some type of dessert like apple pie or potato cobbler. It was fun to eat as a kid.

Raqi – that episode sounds like a time my niece had an upset stomach. That dookie exploded like a die pack in a bank robbery. It was EVERYWHERE….in the diaper, outside of the diaper, soaked through the pj’s and all over her back & stomach.

Believe you me, I’ve been there. But the one time I got SUPER Wasted, every time I leaned over to throw up in the trash can, I moved the trash can forward too and ended up letting loose on the floor. lol

Proposition 19, if it had been approved, would have legalized various marijuana-related activities in California (although not as a matter of federal law), allowing local governments to regulate these activities, permitting local governments to impose and collect marijuana-related fees and taxes, and authorizing various criminal and civil penalties.
