Boomerang: When BAD dating karma finds you
I think every single woman needs a male friend. It’s one of the most enlightening relationships you can have because it gives you a chance to see men in a unfiltered, uncensored state. My guy friends are fairly candid with me about what they feel, how they deal, and the way they think. It has saved me a boatload of therapy to know them!
When they are going through a tough break up, I try to be supportive. I have seen them in their player days when they didn’t care so much about heartbreak they caused. I have also witnessed the moment when they realize that a female has “their nose wide open” and they are vulnerable for the first time ever.
This is when they get a little taste of what women go through. Men deal with breakups differently then we do but they definitely feel it as deeply as we do, especially when cheating was involved!
How do men deal with break-ups? From what I can tell, a lot of booze and sport fixation. They begin to meet as many women as possible to forget the one that betrayed him. Of course, this doesn’t do anything but distract them temporarily.
Have you ever watched someone who was a player suddenly get a little taste of what they put others through? Were you a heart breaker that seemed to get a little of that heartbreak back in one bad breakup or relationship?
What did you learn when you bad karma caught up to you? Do you think it changed how you handled dating after that experience?

M., I think you have a point there. I have received some revenge sex from a woman before, it rocked! Until her husband who did not go to church got the preacher involved and she started feeling bad about having sex with me. I did not bad mouth the guy but she called me after they were back together for a year saying he had cheated again. At that point I had more respect for myself so I just let her give me a hummer instead of having full blown sex with her. LOL

Celisea, we were supposed to take a family trip to Matera so that she could meet my elders, but the weather cancelled all of that. Otherwise it was great!
M., if she cheated on me sexually I would not take her back at all(gas and matches). If she cheated on me emotionally it would hurt but I would try and step up to the plate and salvage it.

Wise_ I don’t know about that one. I don’t drink any more or less based on a break-up.
Sports, well that’s a constant.
If the man has a True understanding of hiimself, ususally he’s moving on in stride.
For me, whatever reason, women tend to find me the times it’s happened in my life.

remember once with midget boys dad – he was tiny and im pulling my hair out with new momma crazies, and wanted him to take the baby for the weekend (and yes he was off work, school and everything else). when he argues how he really cant cause he had plans and needs his rest and all, i walk out. he sends his mom after me, who i dont like and dont like me, talking about how i cant expect him to take care of the kid, his time to relax is just too important and besides its just postpartum, i’ll get over it. im like d@mn your all crazy!!

I think a woman or man can tell when someone has strayed. It’s smells different, not as tight, wants to do more freaky stuff all of a sudden or doesn’t want to do anything at all. Unexplained money or gifts show up etc. LOL, or arguments go to another level or they don’t care to argue at all LOL

In my long post that was “confiscated” I was speaking on the issue of heartbreak…sort of kinda. I dated this dude that honestly was a pretty decent dude but I could never get this “thing” for him so it could never go down. As hard as it is for people to believe, it ain’t as hard to play people as we might believe. There was NOTHING I couldn’t get out of this dude…from a down payment for a car (that I wreak 2 weeks later…payback I call it) to him signing a lease for me. I mentioned (in the other post) how all I had to do was say what he wanted to hear and it would appease him….at least for a while cause that stopped working when it realized it was just talk. I dated him pre and post baby…I could call this dude a the drop of a dime and he was there, I walked out on my daughter’s father (drama drama drama and sick to death of it) and called him and crashed at his spot for a minute. Still no azz exchanged…he tried but nothing popped off. It was something too how I could precurse everything with “this ain’t no booty swap” and he’d buy…of course even I knew better…ain’t nothing free. While I’m not proud of my actions and was truly young, I learned a serious lesson in not playing or taking for granted people’s feelings and emotions….THAT DUDE WAS HARD TO SHAKE. Calling my job, showing up, etc. Too, he wasn’t as innocent as I believed. I mean I wasn’t giving him any so I knew somebody was but it never dawned on me he had a girl…I guess cause he was always there for me. Well this chick calls me twice and said she “knew of me.” Still, him trying to get in all the while having a girl doesn’t excuse my actions. I caught so much hell after him that I would ALWAYS think I was getting paid back for how I used him and his money. Too he always led with the wallet. His dad left a pool hall and houses to him and his brother and his mom so he always flexed at money was no problem. Riiight, like I said HARD to shake that dude off.

@Celisea ~ honest post you posted I call those types “die hards.” There’s no way a man is going to do all that for a woman and not expect some form of an award. He will continue seeking that award until he’s appeased properly in his mind or sometimes, the clinking sound of handcuffs snaps them back to reality…been there, done that.
