Dating: Thankful for the adventures

I can’t believe 2010 is nearly over! In the spirit of the holiday, it’s nice to think about what we are truly thankful for and reflect on it. I absolutely appreciate each of the readers of the Misadventures in Atlanta Blog and I am thankful for the many discussions that we have had here.

Every dating adventure brings an opportunity to learn something new. Which one are you most thankful for?

How will you be spending the holiday? Who or what are you thankful for?

Happy Holidays everyone! The blog will be back on next Monday.

Sweetie, had I known you weren’t feeling well, I would’ve insisted you stay home, and I would’ve called in, and stayed home with you…..and took care of you!!!!

I’m thankful for All of my blessings…because I truly am BLESSED.

I’m thankful for my family, true friends and my health.

I’m thankful for the good times and the bad b/c bad times are a test of character and to see if you really want what you want.

I’m thankful to have recently joined another team here @ the CDC and all of the exciting work I’ll be doing. I’m thankful for the many learning opportunities I will have here on my new team…I’m humbled actually.

I’ve noticed in my neighborhood that alot of the homes are becoming vacant or that some families don’t stay very long….I’m thankful that I still have my house and a means by which to keep/maintain it.

I’m also thankful for this blog b/c it has allowed me the opportunity to go to a few spots I probably wouldn’t have and met some cool peeps along the way. You guys make me laugh…you also make me wonder WTH and WTF but that’s what makes it interesting.

Morning All!

for those of you traveling (like myself), be safe and enjoy!

I am thankful for a lot but if I had to chose one to mention: my son. He makes me realize more about myself everyday, in a positive way. Never thought I would be a parent but man I wouldnt trade it for anything. And also for his father, who though not good for me, is the best ex-hubby/baby daddy EVER!

I’ve got so much to be thankful for that if I get started, I won’t be able to stop.

I will be cooking a dinner for two with the traditional (expected) southern soul food/country dishes. We are going on our early morning 5 mile walk/run. Then we will be watching football and falling asleep on the couch the rest of the afternoon. We may go out to my sister’s or one of my bestie’s house later on. Just gonna play it by ear….let it flow…

Bom dia peoples!! Watching the clock like a hawk. Anywhoo. Like many I am thankful for the deep cleansing and awakening breath that I took this AM.

Thanksful for my family, members of whom can work a nerve to near inches of it’s life, but will turn around and give you that last nickel in their pocket, will ride out 1.5 to help a sister move. (((muah)) love them something awful.

@SexyCool. Nice!! I’m doing the Thanksgiving 5K then coming home to cook. 8O

SexyCool – I have managed to escape cooking for Thanksgiving. Christmas I do a little damage so Thanksgiving is my rest holiday! Enjoy chica!

I will be chillaxin with the fam and prepping to be at the malls at midnight, maybe even the Williamsburg outlets (VA). I love being out in the crowd (the early crowd anyway)

I feel ya’, Mo. Last year, I went all out. This year, I’m just going with a basic menu.

Ham, collard greens, dressing, potato salad, yams (maybe some dirty rice).
Sweet potato pies for desert.
I was going to do a red velvet, but there’s just going to be us two….so that was going to be overkill.

The other thing that I am doing differently this year is that I am cooking just enough for dinner and a day or two of leftovers. I don’t want to be eating Thanksgiving dinner past Saturday. (I ended up having to throw food out last year and if there is one thing that I absolutely abhor….it’s throwing away food…for two reasons – 1) I’ve spent my(our) hard earned money on it (well, maybe not *that* hard) and b) There are too many folks going hungry in the world and here I am throwing *food* away….gggrrr!!!)

Hey Gang!

Thanks be to God – first, last and always.

I’m truly thankful for my good health. Without your health you have nothing. There are so many people around me that are ill, some young too. Too young to be having the health problems that they have. So please take care of yourselves, people! You only have one body and one life!

I am thankful that I have a great job. A great home to live in. A car that runs.

I am thankful for the great relationship with a person that is a man in every sense of the word and 2 kids I love like I birthed them myself.

I am thankful for my great family. A family that molded me into the woman I am today and continues to be my rock.

I am thankful for my wonderful friends – those from childhood, thru college to now.

I really appreciate the friends I have made from this very blog. You are outstanding and I am priviledged to have you in my circle.

Gonna cut out from this place early to deliver some cakes and get my T-day holiday started! Going to SO’s uncle & aunts house in the Dec tomorrow for dinner. Chillaxin before and after.

I’m thankful everyday – and I try and show it in my dealings with others (spread the love)

I’m thankful for my health,

I’m thankful for my family,

I’m thankful for friends that are family (man, that’s a different kinda love),

I’m thankful that I have job, some savings (emotionally and financially), and

I’m thankful that I get to see each day.

Still cool (a la your S/N) that you guys are getting some exercise in just the same.

Thanks Trevor0529. It’s gonna be weird running in 50 DEG weather on Thanksgiving AM. Use to 30-40 DEG part of the challenge and the cold air wakes you all the way up.
