The waiting game

If you ask a guy how long he waited to “seal the deal” with his girlfriend and you are likely to get a very precise answer. Apparently, the waiting game is one of the few games that men look forward to losing.

Anticipating when someone is ready to take the next step can require a lot of patience. I would argue that it can become distracting to some people to the point that it’s all they ever focus on. A lot of times it can take away from the “exploration phase” of getting to know someone.

I think women may be able to contend with the waiting game a little better then men, although it’s tough on us too! How do you handle the waiting game? Do you bring it up at all or pretend the sexual tension isn’t there?

Do you think the longer the wait is, the better your chances are to have a stronger connection? Does that make a difference when you want something really meaningful?

What’s the longest you have waited to seal the deal?
(Question Disclaimer: I personally didn’t want to ask this question but my friend Eric was curious about the responses since he gave me the topic idea. You’re welcome)

I’m filling in for one my employees tonight of all nights (should be tailgating) my day began at five and ends at eleven. I can’t leave out cause I have to monitor all the fire alarms, gas, and oxygen tanks. Those wings sounds good too.

That’s a difference between a man and a woman. We never would have been at work that long without a couple of things in the fridge, desk drawers or cabinet!!! Heck, we would have recruited another co-worker to go get us something if we ate our food too early in the day!

Leggs – as nice as I am, it irritates me when a whole bunch of folk try to run and give me their orders for food whenever I go out to pick up something for lunch. I have a two additional order maximun. Then most times the folks that try to ask at the last minute, are people I don’t even talk to. So when they send their little gopher to find out where i’m going i tell them I don’t know yet. I’m just going to ride around until i see somewhere I want to stop.

@Slim when I worked downtown there were certain places you didn’t tell a soul you are going for lunch..one was the Varsity, the other was Chik-fil-la. One should not have to leave fast food establishments with shopping bags. LOL!

I hate to be negative, but this is the very type of dude that will work thru his “issues” with you for however long you put up with it and then go meet some other lady the next week and propose to her within a few months

kimmie for the WIN! And it’s not being negative. This comes from experience…learning the hard way!

I’ll tell you this. The man who truly wants to be with you won’t leave you “baffled” as to what your status is.

People should put at least 20 years on themselves when deciding if they want to have children. He will be 84 and she 75 when their child reaches age 20!…He won’t be able to handle those teenage years.

don’t ask me where I come up with this stuff….

Kym

@Mo–The hubby has a 35 year old daughter from his first marriage. He will be 80 when the kid is 16..at 80 you don’t fight with a teenager you just shoot them and get it over with..

@2C ~ I don’t think so. They’ve kept it on the low, he should propose to her off the blog. It would be cool for them to come on the blog and announce their engagement. Hell, propose to me in person, not through a computer screen. We might as well go the entire 9 yards and have a blog wedding and blog reception!!!

Can’t have sex with her if mind, body and soul ain’t right. Thus, caring for those things leads to what he wants from her. SEX!!! Of course he cares deeply for and wants to be with her and has no intentions of hurting her how else does he get what he wants from her? SEX!!!!

Again, she only baffled by him not wanting to just have sex with her. Not her status…..
