You’ve met your match
If you are single, it’s just a matter of time before you “meet your match” in terms of someone who challenges you. The little games you try to play won’t work on this person. They not only you call you out on your BS, they don’t leave you wiggle room to be all vague.
Not everyone is ready to meet this person. Often times you say they are “too difficult” or they are too serious, when it’s really that they are just what you need to sit up and pay attention. Sometimes our dating games backfire and we are left to make a choice: take a chance on the person who wants you to bring your “A” game or go the easy route. (pun intended, sort of).
When you meet someone who challenges you in a good way, how do you react? If you haven’t dated this person, do you think you may have met them and wrote them off too quickly?
When it comes to people who challenge us, when is it “challenging you” and when is it “changing you to fit their wants” though? Is there a difference?
I’m on a business trip until tomorrow so I will be reading along and jumping in when I can.

@ I am my turkish sister got her eyebrows tattoed and all it looks like is her eyes are penciled in a little. so her eyebrows always have that freshly done look. I don’t know about eyeliner but i would get my eyebrows done….. in germany I saw an advertisement on the window of a tattoo parlor for permanent makeup. Ewwww i don’t know how someone can get their eyeliner tatted on. Lower or Upper lid…

YSIS: My friend’s mom did the eyeliner thing. She’s Asian and I heard it’s big in Asian culture. When you look at her, you can’t tell it was tattoo. It looks like she always has make up on.
The eyebrow thing I would only do if I didn’t have eyebrows to begin with.
I’m happy the way my brows look after threading-no need for enhancement.

I have confession to make. I watched RHOA last night and I laughed so hard. My head was already hurting but laughing at them just made it hurt that much more. That Phaedra is a sad situation. She trying to convince them that she is only 7 months pregnant and the baby is already 8 pounds. And on top of that she expects them to believe that a doctor will take a baby that young and it not be due to any medical conditions that makes it imperative to do so.
I laughed so hard at her. And even harder at Kim and her no singing self.
My husband even asked “are they for real”. LOL
I have to say NeNe is my favorite. She seems most genuine. After only one episode I don’t know much about Cynthia. And Kandi is not that great of a singer, especially if that “the ring didn’t mean a thing” horrible mess is what she is trying to push.

I went to a tattoo parlor to get a replacement navel ring and heard a lady as for that and looked at her like
. It was hard not to stare and I know I didn’t do a good job at not looking but I was perplexed b/c I’d never heard of such before.

See, that’s another thing we have in common. I don’t have any tats either! My skin is very sensitive and I am afraid I would have an allergic reaction to the ink. I don’t heal the greatest either. I just could tolerate getting one hole in my ears. Tats really are not my bag anyway, but to each his own.
Shoot, I bet if I got that permanent eyeliner, my eyeballs would fall out!

Raqi – for whatever reason, I have a hard time looking at Phaedra…maybe it’s because she has the swollen preggo fact, who knows. Kim is a TERRIBLE singer, but i cracked up when she said she sang at her brothers graduation and also in the 8th grade…WTH! lol As far as NeNe, I think the fact that her hubby is having a hard time business-wise due to the economy and she is now the sole breadwinner, that it’s causing major issues in her marriage. I would probably get tired of her loud mouth if i was Greg. However, he needs to learn to communicate because he said he doesn’t like to talk to anybody. He seems a bit too old for her.

Aufton – Girl, that show is a trainwreck but entertaining! Which is all you can expect from reality tv. I keep telling folks that. The words “class” and “high society” don’t belong in the same sentence with the words “reality tv show”! They gotta get folks willing to act a fool for money to be on tv, so there you have it!
Phaedra is a hot, phony mess, with that ex-con husband! She has some nerve looking down her nose and fat greasy lips at anyone! All holier than thou, knowing good and well she got preggers before they married! That new chick Cynthia – she’s pretty and they said they brought her on the show to add some “class” to the joint, but any class she had flew out the window the minute she signed up for that hot mess! blue – i know you asked Sassy but during the acutal piercing of my navel really wasn’t bad at all…very quick. However, it’s living with it afterwards because of where it’s located. Your pants tend to rub there or shirt, if you lay down you risk hurting it, or carrying something that mistakenly leans up against your stomach…etc

I watched the marathon with my cousins about two years ago. Once you get started it is hard to stop watching. I couldn’t understand why Kim was on there she wasn’t a wife and now her “Big Poppa” can’t even keep the lights on. Now it seems only like what three of them are married..and I have not watched Jersey Shore..but this Snookie person is mentioned all the time and she is now in some commercial that kept popping up this weekend.
Mo I know the dude woke up out the coma on Luther..but I didn’t see it all..because for some reason I was compelled to watch the Cowgirls get beat down.

I was surprised to see that Cynthia’s daughter was father by Leon. And yes she is a pretty and don’t really seem to fit in that crowd. It seems that she does pair well with NeNe though.
NeNe may be loud but I like her. She seems to be just who she is.
My husband also said as big as Atlanta is that group all they could find to represent this city. LOL I watched Orange City Housewives and while they were out there also they were not as comedic at RHOA.
NeNe was saying last night that Phaedra probably got pregnant by another man but is claiming it to be her husband’s therefore saying she is only 7 months.
Now as for yall talking bad about the ladies and their older gents, I don’t see anything wrong with that. LOL If he is giving you what you need that’s all that matters.
And yeah NeNe’s husband needs to communicate with her. Actually looking at them last night I would be surprised if they did get a divorce. Their interaction for those few minutes that I saw them was kinda cute. They weren’t screaming and yelling and ripping each other at throat. But I am only basing my thoughts on the one show.

Okay, had to come on this one. My nephews’ mom wore and still wears black LIQUID eyeliner on her lips since high school. Now I was a little girl when she would come over to the house to visit my brother and her lips would be packed with hotlicious red lipstick and a defined black line around her lips…fast forward some umpteens later…she still wearing it. She didn’t get the memo. At the oldest nephew’s HS graduation she was there look all nice in her fitted mauve suite and lipped black lined….with liquid eyeliner

kimmie, but from what was said last night NeNe and Greg have been married for 13 years. Being that it’s the only episode I have seen I don’t know of any other obstacles they may have aired but maybe his business struggling is just a bump in the road for them, I don’t know.
And Cynthia, see I didn’t realize she had cold feet about marrying the guy neither did I know his business went under.
Maybe I’ll catch up on all the other previous details after watching some more episodes. Or maybe I will catch a marathon on day.
