The perfect night out

I really only have one main goal for a date: have fun. I don’t stress over the small stuff like showing cleavage, straying away from depressing topics, or staring too long at the guy’s biceps (it’s a problem sometimes!).

I never know what to expect by the end of the night but I can say that some of the best times I’ve had on a date happened because it felt natural. To me, the perfect night out is when I have laughed really hard, discovered something totally new that I like to do, or I’ve had this amazing connection with someone.

This is when I go skipping home like a high school girl all giddy about the possibilities of having another perfect night out. What’s your idea of a really great date?

When was the last time you had a really good time with friends or on a date?

Good morning everybody! My idea of a great date is something that is fun. Out to dinner a movie bowling just something which facilitates great interaction. Yes when its over and your head is in the clouds means its a perfect date.

Wisey: staring at biceps? I don’t know if I’ve been that distracted.

Morning peoples,
my idea of a great date? a date where i dont notice the time, not checking how long we’ve been gone, how long we’ve been at the table, not noticing the yawns and tired eyes (i mean even if im having fun, i do work all week, so yeah im gonna be tired, lol).
When was the last time you had a really good time with friends or on a date? well i wouldnt say last time, but one of our best times, was Santa.Con last year. nothing like a bunch of good friends, dressed as christmas characters, bar hopping. mr.blue had a great time as he was the only dude in a group of women skantily clad (had all the guys we passed congratulating him on being pimp santa, lol) and we all had a blast! looking forward to it this year! doing them both this time, Santa Pub Crawl and Santa.Con.

Good morning.

My best date was in 1984. I was young, foolish and had to answer to no one but myself. I threw caution to the wind and danced the night away with a stranger. The connection was fierce, but I had a meeting in the ladies’ room with his wife.

I kid, I kid…just in a very silly mood this morning (sillier than normal)!

Good Morning All,

Best date ever and evening out..Let’s see..

Best date..My son’s father the first time he asked me out. The guy was a charmer and he came picked me up..went to a movie and then spent the entire night riding thru the city just driving and talking. I wrote him off as trouble but I was amazed at all the cool stuff he knew. We talked laugh and joked for hours until the son came up. I had to hear a lecture on why young ladies even if they are free, black and over twenty one don’t stay out all-night..but I didn’t mind..cause it was worth it. Especially since I did it again the next weekend.

Best night out with friends..18 years old..piled 6 deep in a GEO Metro..there was one more girl in the car I think in the hatchback part..out to try to get into a strip club. What was the club men on oneside women on the other? Guys and Dolls…ha..we couldn’t get in so we rode thru downtown.. driving thru the parking lot of a few clubs and wound up at the XXX theater over at Belvedere plaza…very very unforgettable night and that’s all I have to say about that.

Good Morning,

When was the last time you had a really good time with friends or on a date?

Since I am starting my life over, the last time I had a really good with friends was when I went to Myrtle Beach to run a half marathon. The group I traveled with were all women. It was a fun time.

A good date is when we can have fun, no matter the activity. Some of my best dates happened when things actually DID NOT go according to plan.

I went out with a good friend last Friday. We haven’t partied together in a long time. I had a blast. It was really good hanging with my girlfriend. There must have been a “Mack Daddy” convention in town because they were in full force last Friday. Whew!!!

@ blue I remember the last time I hung out with my best friend before she killed herself. We took my niece to see her and we ate some food from a spanish restaurant. It was fun catching up with my sister, my best friend my niece and her son. That was the best.

Morning All,

I have had more great dates than bad dates that I can recall…the best…my 1st date with JT. It started off with all the nervousness of a 1st date, but by the end of night, it felt like I we were old friends. Dancing and fun and ended the night talking and drinking hot cocoa until 3 am.—he actually made a cd for the next date called “Hot Chocolate at 3am”.

But I have had great dates before him, since I like to dance, most of them involve dinner and dancing! I enjoy good music and food, so anywhere I can just enjoy and relax is a good time to me! And it helps when I am looking FLY!!!

Looking forward to tonight—hanging out with the girls and enjoying dinner and seeing TP’s new movie ” For Colored Girls”.

I’d have to piece all of my recent first dates together. It’s been a minute since i’ve had a great first date. It’s similar to yours, but I’m an arms person..so it’s when I laugh, get to sneak in a couple of arm touches (of course as I throw my head back in laughter), and we end up sitting in the parking lot of a place for a while because we dont want the night to end…one person hits the “oh you havent done that,” or “oh you havent been there,” and we end up talking about seeing each other again soon to do whatever that “thing” was….and that first kiss is both sweet and makes me want to throw him to the pavement at the same time…and i get a text saying goodnight and that he had a great time….now THAT was a first date.

My idea of a really good date starts out with the feeling of butterflies as I get ready for date. Picking out the perfect outfit, getting my makeup done just right…
The butterflies increase as you meet your date and you see him waiting for you.
The date progresses smoothly and at the end of the date, as I whip home in my car, I’m giddy like a high schooler, smiling like a cheshire cat, happily antipating what I hope to be future dates to come.
Bonus: As I’m driving home, dude calls to make sure I made it home okay and talks to me for quite a few minutes longer :-)

Saturday me and guy I have been dating for 1 month drove 1hr north of atlanta to do the Tree Top Canopy Tour in Lula,GA. We had sooo much fun. We laughed, trash talked, and tried something new. It was my idea and he had a great time. I think doing different things on a date helps keep it fun. I would recommend it to anyone.

@Yes – aww, sorry to hear about your friend. those are some of the best times tho, just a group of old family and friends hanging, no real plan. we have our group we call “the usual suspects” that are our regulars. my bday this year, instead of us all going out, they threw a bday party for me at the house, complete with great margaritas and Tequila shots. add that to a game of “I Never”, and yes there is an actual card/drinking game, we had a blast! still debating on whether or not i should post those pics on my FB, lol (and yes, jenga is fun when your drunk, lol)

Dangerous yeah but good times.

oh..best time with friends is a tie between when my friend got married and we all shared a beach house with her parents and grandmother and someone in our crew was trying to “get it in” with one of the groomsmen. We were trying to help her make it happen without the “parentals” noticing that the both of them were gone at like 1am. They just wouldnt go to sleep. First who has a razor to get her shaved up…that took forever. Then location. Couldnt happen in the room, not in the car, not on the beach. Ah, in the corner by the pool. And yes, we’re all in our early 30s. But her parents are our parents…we cant have them knowing that they are in the immediate vicinity.

Or when we bum rushed the stage at the New Edition concert, even though our seats were about 12 rows back. The group of us took over the front of the stage, had ridiculous interactions with them, and bounced when Brian McKnight came on next and went to get food and drinks. It was a good night.

Specifically though…

An all day Saturday date…breakfast out and the day just unfolded, window shopping, lunch, the park….nice flow, nice conversation and a good way for getting better acquainted.

I was seeing this guy that was flying in around 9:00, coming by from the airport. So, I decided to cook and throw something together for him, simply and quick. We talked, ate, laughed, laughed some more….really nice company. I REEEALLY didn’t want him to leave and I know he REAAALY wanted to stay, I said in lightness….you should stay OMG, it was so funny, the reaction was priceless. He didn’t see that coming, not from me anyway….couldn’t stay though, the kid was there.

planned an evening picnic when I lived in cali. Had it all planned out. Took her to a cool cliff overlooking the pacific, packed some sandwiches, pasta salad, and a spatlese. Got there, and it was windy as he!!. Couldn’t hardly get the blanket down, napkins flying away, candles were out of the question. Ol’ girl took it in stride though, cracked some jokes about it. We got outta there and ended up salsa dancing…had a ball.

Good morning, mates!!!

Like Mrs. JtJ, I have had many more good than bad dates. I have truly had fun! And there is more fun to be had! One very memorable date was a first date back in 92 that was sort of a blind date. I went to a Black MBA Association meeting with a play brother of mine. He was in the MBA program at CAU and I was in the one at Ga State. The meeting was at CAU. He introduced me to a lot of people that night and one of his classmates asked him later for my number and called me. I could not remember who he was when he called, but I figured he was ok if brother gave him the number. We set up a dinner date and he picked me up at my parents home, where I still lived. My mom answered the door and told me it was this nice-looking guy in a nice black overcoat. I was excited! He was not who I thought he was but I was pleased just the same. He drove a cool white jeep and had a very deep voice, which I loved! We went to this popular seafood place where he ordered oysters on the half shell and used lots of horseradish! He said it hurt but felt good going down(he was a freak, okay)! He also got quite a buzz and then the Blank Panther in him came out! He started shouting out black power stuff! Instead of being embarrassed I was cracking up, but it was time to leave anyway. We walked off his buzz and got him some coffee so he’d be sober enough to drive me home since I could not drive a stick. I don’t think I have laughed so much in one night!
