Wanted by many, taken by none

I can understand how dating multiple people can become a ego boost. You’re in high demand, people are jockeying for your time, it’s all about YOU. It’s all fun and games until somebody wants more.

This is usually when the drama starts. It’s not always easy pursuing these mini “relationships” and then you have to decide how and when to narrow things down to one…or at least TWO.

I have noticed that the younger guys I meet say that they are told to juggle many women but it gets really old, really fast for them. I’ve seen a lot of people who prefer to date one person and see how things turn out.

Do you think single people are still playing the numbers game? Do you prefer to have a starting line up or work with your one star athlete?

What are the pros and cons to juggling multiple dates? What’s the best way to do it without causing unnecessary drama and using deceit?

Delight – Frankly I don’t want to know how many women you’re dating but neither do I want to be date #9 on a 7 day week.

do you or don’t you want to know.

Let me clarify, if we’re just getting into going out, I don’t need a run down of who you’ve been seeing….naturally I’m going to make that assumption…you’ve been dating. Now if you contine to call and ask me to hang out and we’re actively dating and I’ve expressed interest in moving forward…and you agree. I’m going to assume we’re grown ups and you know that I’m not cool being rotated cause we’ve established such. Now, now that we’ve established we’re digging one another, you as well as I will need to do the needful, if we’ve had others and make the decision to scale back. Now, I’m going to trust this is what you’re doing as we move closer to establishing a relationship. I don’t need to find out (cause it will surface) that you never cut folks loose.

I think the verdict is fair..but that is 36 years that those children will never have..because she was bobing and weaving for some freaking ice cream. I am not feeling the least bit sorry for her.

I can’t say I feel sorry either. I hope I’m never in that situation but she left 5 folks dead. You can’t run from something like that. You might not want to face the music but it’s five lives gone

@ leggs: yeah, i hear ya – i would definitely need some time to wrap my head around my child being responsible for something like that, let alone bearing myself the responsibility to turn her in!
@ amazon: hey girl…see you enjoyed your vaca; belated welcome back. 36 years – yeah, wow, and her so young – gonna lose half her life, and who knows what she’ll be able to piece back together afterwards…but, as you said ‘can’t say that’s harsh – at least she’ll still have a life
@blackfoote: yeah, how bout that?! daughter gets 36 for actually being responsible for the deaths, and mom gets 8 for helping her hide it?! not that i think that was the right thing for her to do, but thre does seem to be some disparity there…

No, no sympathies for her or her mother. I was even more appalled to hear the father of that lost his little girl that was severed in 2 talk about how her family never acknowledged them in court and have never said they were even sorry for their loss.

All families involved are hurting and will be for a long time to come. But, more so , the families that lost their loved ones foreever. This should be a wake-up call for all drive too fast or are always in a hurry to get somewhere.

How about that Derrick Yancey trial and verdict?seems it was a waste if taxpayer dollars.

They should pass a law that says’if u run or attempt to run away
from justice when ur trial is pending u shall be found guilty if all
applicable charges by default’

What was the point of putting dude on trial and wasting a million dollars?

Yep, flipping the switch…LOL Honestly, men know and understand what’s flowing between them and a woman way before anything is stated. I think though it’s a cop out to hang on some technicality just so he can operate under a guise rather than say hey here’s how I roll. I guess though as we’ve hashed and rehashed today and as in other times…honesty is key.

Mrs. JtJ

As a mother, i would that my child was involved, but when I think about the mother that lost her child and the other mother who died with her entire family, there is no way I could sit there and not come forward. If she had not left the scene or even if they had just come forward immediately, the sentences would have been less harsh.

This is why I talk to my 14 y/o son now about how dangerous automobiles are and how you have to be very careful regardless! I think I will make him wait til he is at least 18 to let him even get a learner’s permit. Too scary!

@ Zulu…I agree. I mean Yancey worked in law enforcement…did he really think he could plan the perfect cover up for his wife’s murder? He knows that they have CSI and crime scene experts that can determine things the pattern of blood splatter and more to negate his claims of a robbery attempt. Maybe he thought his co-workers and sheriff buddies wouldn’t investigate any further than what he claimed. IDK…

And then blaming depression as his reason for fleeing out of the country…Lol! He had fake hair and all….he was going on a never-ending vacation for real!

Awwww…Leggs…I was watching the news and heard that story. I am so sorry for Lil Leggs loss. I know that had to be painful to deal with. I made my 2 oldest sit there and watch the story again at 7pm news and we talked about it. I told them even the most experienced drivers can make the simple mistake of over-correcting and losing control.

I also told them I have hit about 7-10 dogs, cats, squirrels in my lifetime. I love animals but I value my life more!

Good day folks! Well being as that I have not found one guy to have all the things I want…I see nothing wrong with multiple dating. But you have to be honest. Don’t lie and say that you are only dating that one person that is at your crib at 7PM as you try to usher them out because your next “date” is coming over to pick you up at 9. Be real…
