Date number 3
It’s always a great thing when you manage to get through two dates with someone and you still want to see them. It seems to be when you get a clear idea about what kind of person you are seeing and how compatible you are.
Do you think that the third date determines if you two have a real shot at something? I ask because it is the “representative” that people show on dates 1 and 2. Once you get past the awkward moments and weird conversation then you could move on to the good stuff.
This also seems the date that something physical happens. I always get tickled at the suggestions for date three because it usually includes some activity that just screams “romance”.
A guy friend once told me that women should tell men if they aren’t wasn’t in getting intimate with a guy by date three. He thinks men have expectations because they have invested significant time with someone.
Women have expectations as well, is it relevant to men how comfortable we are feeling with them at this point?
Who usually brings up the topic of sex and intimacy when you are dating someone?

yeah, I know a sponsor is the one who does the spending, but what does he get in return….what, like NASCAR I get to put my “brand” on the hood of your car?
cause I’m starting to think, in correlation to yesterday’s topic, bein’ a sponsor may not be that bad of a job….I handle your primary stuff, and you make your “contractual” appearances….everybody’s happy!

Morning Crew!
In my experiences, nobody “brought up” the subject of intimacy, it just happened! Things took their course naturally. Of course, any smart woman (or man) knows that “naturally” can be manipulated!
I don’t have a set timetable for when things are going to happen. But I do believe in taking my time and getting to know someone. That way I am not completely led by lust. A romantic, lustful atmosphere is easy to create with someone you like and find attractive. Now my key to manipulating the natural is to avoid situations where that lustful atmosphere is in abundance. Take for example our topic last week on home dates. If you want to hold off until you get to know someone, why would you consent to a home date on date 2??? If there is genuine chemistry there, that’s like dangling a carrot in front of a rabbit. You are both human! Don’t be looking crazy the next morning talking about “that never should have happened”! No, you WANTED it to happen, and that’s fine but be grown-up about it! You knew what was going to happen when you agreed to it!!
Now you all can call me manipulative or a game-player or a strategist, a tease, whatever you choose. But I’m grown and I do what is comfortable for me. I choose not to live with regrets. Most men I’ve dealt with showed me most of what they were all about well before 3 months. The sooner I feel comfortable with a guy and feel I know enough about him, the sooner the real “natural” will happen.

SCool – I disagree, this is BIG news. Think about it – that was a historic case that almost sunk his SC nomination(and it should have). Almost 20 years later, this scum’s Teabagger wife leaves you this nasty message on your work answering machine. Hill was treated bad back then and has gone on about her business, leading her quiet life and this trick calls her up. Implying that she lied to Congress! Oh yes, it’s a story and cleverly timed at that!

SCool – But you haven’t gone thru what Anita has had to deal with over the years and is still dealing with. You should read some of the vicious things folks are saying about her to this day. She’s had to live a life of a recluse all these years. He said some ugly stuff about her in his book and she still layed low. Her reputation was affected. But the incident put sexual harassment in the workplace in the forefront of EEOC.
CNN says that she turned the message over to the campus security, who turned it over to the FBI.

Agree w/ Kimmie, this is a Big story. Ms Hill was criticized during the hearing for keeping the coke can a secret. She is alot more wiser now and contacted the FBI. Now there is an official document of the whale contacting her. Her status w/ Mute Thomas’s confirmation deserves more attention that just sharing w/ her girlfriends.
