Spooky single behavior
I know we all like to think that we are perfect and have absolutely no problem at all getting a date. The reality is that every one of us have our own set of unique issues. Sometimes we are the reason a relationship doesn’t work out. Yes, we are the misadventure for someone else.
Don’t believe me? Just take a couple of hours and interview your last three exes. I’m sure you will be enlightened! We are flawed and beautifully human and that’s a great thing. Sometimes taking a little self-inventory and doing a self-assessment can go along way. Are you showing some scary spooky behavior that may be ruining your chances at romance?
Halloween is just days away, so what better time to figure out your own scary behavior! I’ll start: I think a lot of men get spooked when I get all argumentative. I admit that I can get too caught up in being right (um, when I’m right, that is.) and I don’t know when to shut up and listen. My ex gave me a little advice about that “too passionate” about what you believe in and as hard as it was to hear it, I got what he was saying.
Now I won’t just keep quiet to appear as if I have no opinion, but I have learned to pick my battles, and communicate more effectively. I don’t always get it right but I’m making an effort so I think it counts for something.
What about you? What do you think you have done or are doing now, that could spook a potential?

Always read and enjoy this blog, but I’ve never felt strongly enough to comment…until now that is.
A dating blog for white people?! you must be kidding…what difference does it make who is writing the blog? dating advice is universal. focus on the content people…FOCUS.
I guess my ’spooky’ behavior is the fact that I have very little tolerance for BS. I say what’s on my mind and that tends to make some guys head for the door. Sort of like the other poster who said ‘why dance around the topic?’…yes, why? Just say what’s on your mind and get it out in the open. Is honesty really too much for someone to deal with?

@Dreams – have the guys said they think differently about a woman who does this, or is this just what women THINK guys do? – i have had several guys say to me that is their view, woman who gives it up quick is labeled as funtime gal not take home to momma gal….granted not all guys, but enough to get it stuck in womens heads that this is something to watch for….

I’ll bet you’ve heard from other men (like today) that that’s not the case, however, we all remember/rely on/re-use/rehash facts that validate our world view.

Good Afternoon All,
I am going to have to add on to Wisey..my spooky behavior is my mouth. I am very passionate about issues(I know shocker!!!) and I know at times my personality can be a bit overbearing. But I am working on it..a little..don’t judge me!
Good to meet some of the blog folks Friday night..I don’t know if anyone told anybody yet..about all the activities..but lets see..CZbrat.. likes really big eggrolls..Dan is a pickpocket..Leggs is the real Dom of the group(she slapped Dan until he got right)..Blue’s hubby looked down my shirt..so I looked down hers to make it even..and I think something happen involving a short bald dude in tights and a flying car with rims..I don’t remember..too much after the seafood gumbo incident.
