Do single men feel pressure to marry?
I was lamenting with a friend of mine about no longer being eligible to donate my eggs to infertile couples. For some random reason this bummed me out! Normal single women have biological clocks that inch them towards marriage. Yours truly? I want to cling to the option of donating eggs. I know, I’ve always been a little strange, but I digress.
My friend consoled me by saying I may not be the perfect candidate to donate eggs but I would still make a great wife. He said that as a man, even with the option to have children at a later age, he has felt pressure to become a husband.
Awesome compliment aside (thanks Greg!), what he said me wonder about pressure single men have about relationships and marriage. Is it the same kind of pressure society places on women (and our ovaries!) and how do men handle it?
When men see their friends and peers getting married, do they get the feeling as if they are being left behind?
Ladies, do you think that a man past a certain age that has remain unmarried is still marriage material?

kimmie — The easiest way to jump start that “simplification” (for me, anyway): move. It’s a d@mn sight easier to throw sh!t away when your other option is packing it up & humping it up/down stairs onto & off of moving trucks, up/down more stairs, etc…
Of course, the move didn’t carry that same motivation for Mrs. Swiss, as it was my a$$ lugging her sh!t…

I have my mancave setup and I will say that internet ready flat screens. Although I was a bit shocked watching p0rn in blue ray on a 65 inch screen. Felt like an anatomy class, until some guys sack is flopping back and forth in larger than life HD. have to fast forward to the next scene.

My wife considers me cheating on her if I watch porn or wack off without her there.
When I am alone though I can just get it done real quick. LOL the problem is when you dont have enough napkins or paper towels(napkins tend to get to sticky anyway)an it just shoots way farther than expected.

I will be honest. I was not the too smart one when it came to “house” in the overall skeem of things. It takes a hard lesson to do it right the next time. We bought a great dream home, but the bank did lean on me more, I had more income, savings and in a higher tax bracket. He was on his way up with government job, so I did the I got my man’s back thing. Long story way short(details not needed). We ended he got the place up east and I got the home down south. Now who knew the market and job loss would tear this country apart. I did not plan for that part, esp since I was the more sound financial mind. But while going through relationship he!! the job world was ever more the pits. So here I sit with way more house, land and mortgage than needed on a very new meager salary. So to the say the least I’m learning alot, and hopefully agents will stop coming to me with these crazy way to below the pocket bids. If not I will do what’s necessary. I’m not going to be to proud and hold onto something I can not handle.
Now saying all of that. Once I’ve pulled myself out of this mess I’m buying my retirement home in the islands. Set up my funds up down there, and prepare not to work past 65. Now this is all hinged on my single minded, I’m okay with it just being me and my dog in older years. If a man comes along that I allow to be in my space and he can tolerate me liking my own space the plan can slightly be changed.

I have some friends that married and moved into the womans home because of the schools. The woman had kids that were in a much better school district that she did not want them to have to leave. When the guy purchased his house, he didn’t have kids so he didn’t care about the school district he moved in – it was just him.
People do what is best for their families.
