Why aren’t more women approaching men?

I hope your weekend was wonderful and fun!  I was in the Big Easy hanging out and mingling with cool people.   I saw a lot of interesting things this weekend while hanging out in New Orleans.  I love the energy of the city and the people are so much fun.

I noticed that women seem to approach men a lot more than in Atlanta!  I have to say there were a couple of guys that caught my eye and approaching them didn’t seem like a bad idea.  What is it about going to a different city and meeting people that seems easier than at home?

When men get approached by women, it seems to be a huge ego boost and I believe it is rare when a guy flat out turns her down.   I am sure it happens but once a lady gives an inkling that she is interested, she opens the door for the man to reciprocate interest.

What is the best way to approach a guy, though?  I have seen some women come on way too strong and when they sense the guy is turned off, they keep pursuing.  Are women slow to notice that a man isn’t really feeling her?

Guys when you are approached by a woman, do you know right away? What happens when you decide that she isn’t your type?  How do you let her down?

I think women are always encouraged to ask guys out or at least approach men more, but it seems that many of us prefer to let the men make the first move.  Do you think this will ever change?  If we are modern women who abandon a lot of the traditional courting, should we get used to approaching men?

Ladies, what are your fears about approaching men? What is the worst that can happen?

Elijah 2.21??

That’s a Metrpolitan pkwy h03 you describing there?

So what’s the difference between a ho3 and a thirsty heifer if they’re dressed the same?
One takes a consideration in $$$$ terms, the other in kind.

Elijah – Wall Street 2 was good, but I think the first one was better! Both on my list of all-time favorites though!

IMO, a woman always making the first move raises her chances of getting rotten dudes and really it’s just nice to have a man approach.

@It’s me… – I think you improve your chances by going after what intrigues you rather than waiting and hoping that it comes your way. And what women do you know that always approach when it comes to potential encounters? No matter who initiates there’ll still be the screening process to determine if the person’s worth your time.

Absolutely. My challenge when I go out is to garner the attention of the tallest (non married) guy in the room. But the funny thing is…look at all the short or average women who say they love a tall man. Really, why do they need a man a whole FOOT taller? I’ve done it, it’s tough.

Dig – I have mad skills at just being a people person. I laugh and strike up conversations with anyone, in line at the grocery store, walking down the street, whereever. I meet some cool people that way. I also give compliments to everyone. That includes fine men!
I also know when I’m giving off an “I don’t want to be bothered” vibe. Usually that’s when I’m preoccupied. But a club or a party is no place for that. I stay at home during those times and handle my business!

PR?

U right, don’t upgrade a woman. Let her actions upgrade her!

How you gon meet a woman/stranger and think/assume she is of
upright morals??

Only u, the man reserves the right to call her what you perceive. The same way they may call you a player or an upstanding dude.

Purple – Put it this way – if you are one that goes to the movies alot, I say go see it. If you don’t or you could just take it or leave it, wait for blu-ray.

Wall Street 1 is one of my all-time favs and I’ve been looking forward to 2 ever since I heard Oliver Stone was working on it. Also, Michael Douglas is one of my favorite actors. I’m also into business-related stuff too.

Maybe I’m wrong but I think we’re saying the same thing. What intrigues me is what causes me to strike up a conversation or make my interest known. Because I may be intrigued, I’m just one for poking and feeling around for reciprocated interest rather than walking up to you while you’re pumping gas and asking for you number.

And what women do you know that always approach when it comes to potential encounters? PLENTY

No matter who initiates there’ll still be the screening process to determine if the person’s worth your time.

Agreed, that’s a given. So I ask, what will men do if the women are doing it all?

What up blog fam….

I haven’t read any of the post but I will not let that stop me from speaking from a position of knowledge.

1. Men don’t try no mo – I’m calling BS on this one, cause chicks main reason for stating this is the actions of other chicks. So, if a chick is active she thirsty but if a chick sits back and waits she’s classy.

2. Women don’t like rejection – DUH! Who does? Stop being such a punk. If you see something you like do something about it. No dude is expecting a chick to hit them with some line like do you like dolphins.

3. Men are use to rejection – Since when?

Exactly…this is a much better approach. If you have people skills I think your chances are greater. If there’s some interest there it will happen in the natural flow of things. My daughter tells me mama you will strike a conversation with anybody.

Purple – Yes, I enjoyed it! And seeing those shots of NYC and the traders looking at their computer monitors and other shots made it very compelling on the big screen.

In fact, it’s wild looking at the first one versus the sequel. Seeing how stuff like computer monitors and cell phones have changed since the late 80’s!
