A new low: Hustling dates using religion

I was simply perplexed reading this news report, Lying for sex means jail time in Israel.

I know people lying to get laid is nothing new but using church or religion, as a means to deceive a person just bugs me to no end.  Is nothing sacred anymore!?

Don’t get me wrong, there are a lot of people who think that church or religion is a  great thing to have in common with someone you want to date.  That is totally different.  When you view religion or church as a tool to get laid, I think you’re just racking up hell points.

Do you think that in some way a lot of people lie to get laid at some point?

Have you ever discovered that you were deceived by someone after hooking up with them?  How do you handle something like that?

Is it just me or do you think religion and sex are like oil and water?

…that deceiving was an essential part of the hooking up equation…and there are many a man (probably many of the regulars on this blog) who use church to meet their next conquest…

Morning
According to the report he didn’t lie. The woman assumed he was Jewish because he had a Jewish nickname. That would be like assuming Rasheeda from the block is muslim because she has an Arabic name. Lots of AA’s with Arabic and Swahili names, but very few are muslim.

As far as religion and sex…cmon on now. Church is full of people (men and women) trying to hook up. Go to almost any church this Sunday, and you’ll see that. You can’t get around this though. You put a bunch of young single people in ANY environment (church, work, whatever) and sex is going to be had.

Good morning
It seems like its any other prerequisite that a person may have before they entertain you. The other party may have a “check off list” that they want you to meet and some people will just fake being that person to get to the goods. Like money, education, social status, family situation, etc. — church and religion is another item folks will fake on.

And if a person doesn’t have a sense of spirituality faking it will not really bother their conscience like it would for someone who has a sense of faith.

@DreamsMaterialize Not only that, but they were knocking boots within 30 minutes of meeting! Doesn’t sound like religion was the first thing on her mind at the time.

I would never lie or hide something big, but I was always curious what people do if they have STDs. How many keep that hidden so they can get some? I know many are ignorant, but do the people who know always do the right thing?

Sup Yall,
Dreams I totally agree with ya. I’ve raised an eyebrow or 2 just because of my 1st name (muslim) and I have a wide-open menu/diet. I believe women/men allow themselves to get into situations because of there “values/criteria” they seek in others. What happened to, I like you. Do you like me? yes no maybe

What happens in the Middle East has absolutely no bearing on what happens in the United States. Different cultures, they are not like us. Americans have a tough time with that.

Of course people lie to get laid, all the time. When I’ve discovered it in the past, I dropped them like a hot potato.

Religion and sex aren’t like oil and water. God invented sex. He intends it for people who are married.

Good morning, everyone!

How ya doing, Mark?

I agree, he did’t lie, she assumed. Not only that, she took it upon herself to have sex in a stairwell 30 mins (?) after meeting him.

This reminds of a news report a few years back where a woman met a man in church. They started dating. He quickly moved him. She was saving herself for marriage. He persisted and persisted. Since he did ask her to marry him, she relented. A few months later he moved out. She attempted to sue him for mental distress, emotional abuse, theft. The theft part is what makes me remember this story. She contended that he stole her most precious gem! Lying to get sex is nothing new. In both these cases, both women were THIRSTY and FOOLISH.

“Do you think that in some way a lot of people lie to get laid at some point?”

I think people do this, but you dont have to. If she is not feeling you on that level, just step to the next one. There are alot of women on the planet, you can get somebody else. You shouldnt have to compromise your integrity just for 20 mins so I never justify lying in any relationship interaction because you really dont have to.

“Have you ever discovered that you were deceived by someone after hooking up with them? How do you handle something like that?”

I have definately dealt with women who I thought were one way and turned out to be another way but hey thats anywhere in life right?

I actually prefer to meet women other places besides this setting because there is too much of a stigma that comes along with dealing with a woman from there.

Since the beginning of time and until time no longer stands. It’s just a means to an end….no matter the borrowed reason.

Honestly, using religion as a means is no more of a low than just being an out right plain ole liar. Don’t get me wrong, I dig the topic and where you’re going with it but somehow that’s how we get into hypocrisy (IMO). A lie is a lie is a lie and to a liar how could or would they gauge religion to be taboo as a means for getting azz? Not really a new low….it’s just lowdown to lie and get azz cause really you ain’t gotta do much of nothing or be too much of anything now a days. You can get azz in most cases by simply asking.

Good morning Gang!

No need to lie to get with someone, because it’s just too easy to get nowadays! I mean, weren’t some of you guys just talking the other day about getting it on the first date? If that’s all you’re after, as oppossed to a serious relationship where you actually have to invest time in getting to know someone, you shouldn’t have to lie. You should both be on the same page about what’s going down. If you feel you have to lie to get it, you really must be lame and desperate!

Imma lurk a little till the topic changes.

Using religion as a ploy to get sex? Both parties are as guilty the one using it and the one who accepts it because the end result is fornication and what religion is that okay? He’s a Jew so I am going to screw him RIGHT NOW!! LOL It regards to lies people lie and deceive without even knowing it to achieve what they want. Fake nails, makeup, fake breast, fake butts, fake jewelry, fake job titles, rental cars, fake accessories, rent to own furniture and appliances, spending to much money on dinner etc (when they know they can’t afford it) in order to impress another person. Not telling your h0e past, not telling about all of your Baby Momma’s or Baby Dad’s, lying about your education your criminal record etc. Everyone lies, and if you say you don’t that is a lie. LOL, :) So if you are “fake” and a liar do not be surprised when you attract the same.

This false dating topic is what i wld call no biggie..no story in dating terms…

who in their right mind will go out there and say to a chick,>strong>I really want to get inside ur draws?

Nobody!

what we do instead is use flash cards..que cards…to show u who we are or are pretending to be and then if u bite,u get on the ride.

if u like nice stuff, i will roll by in my beema or other car of choice..

if u like nice clothes, i will borrow from paul and wear his nice jacket and italian shoe cut when i come to see u..

if u like money, i will buy th dinner, drinks and lie that im in the Ritz just for a two day gate away….

all that in order to lure the female…..

If not those extremes,at least I will pay for the dinner this one or two, even three times just to show u I aint a jerk untill i get the draws then show my true colors….

Str8 up lying aint new new…we just use different ways to deceive(lie) and get our way to the meat of the bone! (pun intended)

Guy:”You know I’m a Mormon!”

Girl: “Really, do you want to hit this?”

Guy: “Don’t mind if I do.”

Girl: “There is a stairwell right over there, let’s go”

That guy could of said he was an astronaut that woman had already decided to give him some, right then and there. But yet, she is the victim of his lies? LOL, not the victim of her “h0e, you can hit it in less than 30 minutes ways?” Her name must be “Domino” 30 minutes or less.

@blue ~ when I’m in church I am always amazed at some of the article of clothing I see. Why is it that some women don’t see certain items as “inappropriate?” It’s church, God’s house. You should always pay respect in your words, your actions and your attire (IMO).

blue, God is God everywhere, I don’t care what people wear to church as long as they are in church, how dare I judge someone coming to Church for what they are wearing. The one’s who quote scripture always yelling and faking the funk are the ones you have to look out for, they will be the ones you don’t expect to be trying to “bed you” or sex their way into a husband.

@Leggs – yeah, thats how i was raised as well. church was the place yuo wore your best and made sure it modest and respectful. thought it was odd when i started seeing more and more folks showing up in jeans and polos, but yuo dont know, maybe that is their best attire. but if you try to tell me you just dont have any clothes that dont show off your tweety bird tatt right above your n!pple, ive got some issues with that.

Well, you never know where a person is in life and it’s better to be in church wearing whatever than not being in church, focus on the message and not be distracted by what other people are wearing. Do you really think Jesus would turn them away if he were at the door or let them in anyway. LOL

@PR ~ I understand your sentiment to a point. I do not feel a woman should be coming to church with boobs hanging out, red bra straps showing under her orange tank top, micro mini coochi grabbers or daisy dukes. I understand the premise is to get the “body” into the church and not mind the clothing. Well, I’m not ashamed to say to a point I disagree!

My church is casual, but I like to dress so I do. I have worn jeans a few times. Point I’m making is you can wear what you want to church, but it’s just disrespectful to come in all the time looking like a harlot. I’m not distracted by the “message” because there aren’t many in my church that dresses inappropriately. I don’t look around the church looking at folk, but when leaving and in the parking lot, you see some thangs….

@PR – i dont really attend church, but i do think that out of respect for your own religion, your God, and your fellow worshippers, Church is not the place for such attire with. i think there will be those who have no other options, and for them faith is the key. but for the young ladies who have proper attire, where it to the office monday to friday, and then wear the same clothes they partied at Opera in Friday night to Church on Sunday, that seems disrespectful. i think Jesus would help someone come to faith, but would also tell those showing no respect to wisen up.
and yes, have seen some shady folks who preach the gospel at you one minute, but violate that same gospel the next. part of the reason i do not attend to any organized religion.

Read the article urself:

these were my favorite lines on that story:

The two primate species closest to us lend strong — if blush-inducing — support to this vision. Ovulating female chimps have intercourse dozens of times per day, with most or all of the willing males, and bonobos famously enjoy frequent group sex that leaves everyone relaxed and conflict-free.

The human body tells the same story. Men’s testicles are far larger than those of any monogamous or polygynous primate, hanging vulnerably outside the body where cooler temperatures help preserve standby sperm cells for multiple ejaculations. Men sport the longest, thickest primate penis, as well as an embarrassing tendency to reach orgasm when the woman is just getting warmed up. These are all strong indications of so-called sperm competition in our species’ past

I tould u so…all this daaamnn time!!
