City & State or ZIP

You had me at hello…on Aisle 3

The night I went to The Gold Club for Jezebel Magazine’s Most Eligible party, I was scoping out the crowd to find a few singles to interview.  I was mingling and chatting people up when an adorably fabulous woman came up to me and we got to talking.

She gave me a business card and I gave her mine, telling her about the Misadventures in Atlanta dating blog.  She immediately lit up and excitedly told me that she was newly married and very happy.  She recounted the sweet sweet story of when she met her new husband at a grocery store (!!) and that she really believes that she found the true love of her life.

She told me that when they met she didn’t call him right away, she waited a few days   After she finally called him back, they scheduled a date. Their first date lasted hours and within a few weeks…they were engaged.

This is when she called her husband over to introduce us.  They told me that he literally had his entire house packed up and was scheduled to leave Atlanta.  The day he met her? He canceled the move – without even knowing if she would call back! Talk about serendipity, right?

I suppose some would classify that as love at first sight;  or at the very least, smitten in a grocery store!  Do you believe in love at first sight?

I know I am hopeless romantic and this kind of love story is what I love to hear about to satisfy my curiosity about how people meet and fall in love.  I just think it is possible to meet someone and immediately feel as if the person is right for you.

I have met only one man that I felt that way about instantly.   It didn’t work out but that intense attraction I felt was a first for me and I was not at all prepared for it! Have you ever felt that way about someone when you met them?

Guys, if you met someone that really blew you away, how far would you go to get and keep her?  Would you rearrange your life or postpone a major move in an effort to make it happen with the woman of your dreams?

I am, i thought of tybee as a good option too, but i wasn’t sure about the distance. i think you can make it in about 5.5 hrs. Savannah is cool, but it’s stinky :( you’re better off going a bit south to brunswick or north to hilton head.

I used the thingy on Swiss sheet…you use the “strong” around the words you wish to bold it seems funny but it is

enter the words you wish to bold just take the “” and the spaces out

My SO had me when I saw him. I was at the top of the stairs and he was walking up them to come to my roommate’s party. I was stopped in my tracks!!!!  It was def love at first sight for me. We have never ever forgotten that night. I remember it like it was yesterday. I think his love at “first” sight came when he first saw me in my G without all the heavy artillery ie winter clothes

PRain – Try Sandestin Resorts. The Baytonne Wharf Village is where we stayed. I absolutely loved it. It has different areas, so it’s your choice of the scenerio you want to stay…. We had a condo that we loved… Went to Destin to get some strawberries, wine, champagne, seafood (well I don’t know about that now, but) cause the condo had a kitchen then dining area that let out to the patio that led to the beautiful pool area…. Loved it!!! Then we could walk down to the Baytonne Wharf area and do a lil shopping or have lunch/dinner there…. I’ve been trying to go back! You can swim, bike ride the resort, or fish…..

mqew, sandestine is great! he’d probably have to stick to the pools since it’s on the gulf. the oceanfront resorts & condos are awesome. another good option in that area is santa rosa beach. and that might be about an hour closer. it’s more quaint than the touristy destin area.

melo, you should be able to make amelia island in about 6 hrs.

profesora, let’s think of it as being more efficient.

Sandestin looks nice but after reading the reviews on the area. “They cleaned up all of the tar balls”,”Only a few tar balls every 2 or 3 feet” etc. I am going to pass on that area.

PRain – It’s so much to do in the Village area that we had to “make” ourselves just do the beach… So you don’t have to go to the beach. The Village was like ten minutes from the beach, but both are still on the resort. They have shuttle buses. Between the pool, biking, and tennis we did do… we were good.

PR, may I suggest Kiawah Island in SC. It’s about 10mi south of Charleston (sp?). Rent a condo or villa and just relax. If you like biking, they have several trails all over the island and it’s private. You can go into historic Charleston for dining and the market. We love that place!

here’s an fyi that most of you probably already know. if you don’t mind spending 90 precious minutes listening to a sales pitch, take advantage of a super low rate at a resort (or sometimes hotel), by booking a timeshare tour during your stay.

just a suggestion from your former sheisty friendly neighborhood timeshare saleswoman.

A woman wants one man to satisfy her every need. A man wants every woman to satisfy his one.

With that being said, I have had my share of failed loves and I have loved every one of them. Does that make a woman a whore? No, It makes her human and I agree with the person who said that One man’s whore is another mans housewife. Be very careful about judging. Most men only make hateful statements about women because they hate them or want them and can’t have them.
