What if chemistry didn’t exist?
I don’t think anyone can ever explain the chemistry that exists between two people who really desire one another. It’s impossible to predict, understand, or destroy – I have attempted all three. I think so many times we get hung up on that feeling of intense desire and attraction that we forget how to put it in it’s proper place. What is it’s proper place?
Do you let go of a wonderful person because they don’t do it for you? Do you expect the person who does it for you, to always give you that feeling of intense chemistry? How long can that feeling possibly last before you settle into the reality of one another, instead of the “idea” of one another.
The reality is that there is much more to love and relationships then chemistry. Yet, a lot of times, we won’t let a potential romance start without it. Are we fooling ourselves? What would happen if chemistry between two people didn’t exist. How would we determine who we truly connect with and who we shouldn’t?
If we didn’t have chemistry, do you think our dating experiences would be less romantic?

Kym, from what I am learning in this journey called life is it takes love and like both to make it work the best. I really didn’t realize the urgent importance of like until my husband said it one day. We were playing around and he said “you better be glad I like you”. I asked him if it’s like or love. He said the love is what brought him to making a life and home with me and keeping him getting up every morning to go to work for us, but like is what keeps him coming home at the end of that work day for more. I get that. I really do get that. Some people take one over the other but from where I stand they work the best together.
But yeah I agree with you. I ain’t about to be letting some dude that I just like consume my precious time every darn day of the week. LOL

Kimmie, first I just want to say how in the heck folks knowing there is a loose cannon in the building shooting up folks find time to discuss the love lives? That’s what stuck out with me.
And secondly, Chief Webber is awesome. That sissitive Derrick got his puny butt shot because he don’t know nothing about running no hospital and how to deal with people.
Okay I got that off my chest…I agree with those that said that finale was the best of all seasons.

If you want a successful relationship, it has to start with the way you feel about that person and the growth of those feelings. Chemistry has to exist to even consider the possibility of a relationship. It is not that hard to understand that. Now, how you define that “ chemistry” is up to you, but is has to exist!!!
Someone said “Give You Like”, well even to like something, it has to be appealing enough for you to “like it” in the first place. Otherwise, you wouldn’t give it a second thought. To “like” a woman, there has to be something about her beyond sexual attraction to keep her around more for relationship.– I could be wrong, but dang, she would have to “like” you to……so guess what—CHEMISTRY!!!! There has to be some type of connection there.

Definition:
Love = Commitment(but the way it’s thrown around it has lost its meaning) which is why you stay around Wifey when you mad Willie D but your like for allows you to get over being mad. Like when she sows the holes in your sock and you say awww sugar butt is sweet.
Chemistry = A shared view of a topic (sports teams require all member to see the situation the same way in order to be successful)
Like = Something you enjoy doing (sitting quietly together while the dude is wondering “why in the hell did I let Kym drive this dayum RV and when are going to stop cause I can’t hold this poot much longer before it turn into liquid)

Did uall read that story on ajc, of the 15 yr old boy who went missing in 2001 but his bones found in 2009..that touched my heart…grandma must have died really angst by that…

Raqi – Okay on a couple of blogs I’ve read, like tvguide & such, a lot of people were talking about the sorry SWAT team! I must admit that stuck out with me too. There is no way that SWAT guy that shot the shooter should not have taken him down! And look how long he wandered all over that hospital!!!! That whole SWAT team needs to be fired.
Yes, Chief Webber is the joint!!! He needs to be back running things, let him finish his little AA rehab & reinstate him! That’s what folks were saying on the blogs too. Derek is in his element in the OR and that’s where he needs to be – doing brilliant surgeries. He’s a scientist, not a manager. Webber understands the big picture!
Did Bailey not act her butt off or what?!! When she went crazy when that elevator didn’t work, I lost it. I was expecting her to go Da—, Da—, Da— like Florida Evans in Good Times!
And is Dr. Jackson Avery hot or what? I think Yang needs to forget about Owen’s shell-shocked self & get with him – real chemistry there and he’s got cajones, not afraid to stand up to her or anybody!

@JtJ- I can agree partially, however I think the obstacle comes into play with where 2 ppl are with their wants and desires too. I find that often there is physical attraction which can lead to excellent sexual chemistry, but then she wants a husband but he just wants to bust tonight then all the “chemistry” was just goo goo eyes from across the room.

Yeah the SWAT should have got him with the first shot.
Derrick even said out loud he had no clue what to do when he found out about the shooter. Webber went right on in there and handled the situation. Maybe that was Shondra’s way of showing Webber is going to be back on duty next season.

Yep, Bailey out did herself on that one. I was first impressed with her quick thinking of denying to be a surgeon although she felt bad doing it. It left her available to try save Dr. Percy.
I don’t care for Callie that much but she impressed me in the pediatric wing. She proved that she is a better doctor that her girlfriend.
