Pick-up lines work
I did something I haven’t done in ages the other day. I used a pick-up line on a man! I couldn’t let the opportunity to flirt slip away so I had to act fast. I was at the opening gala for the Atlanta Film Festival last week when I noticed a very handsome guy. Once I saw no ring (or tan line for one!), I shimmied his way after grabbing a second glass of Pinot aka liquid courage. I said something about how he looked like a good challenge I could get into. I can’t even remember the exact words. It didn’t matter that much!
It was enough to make him chuckle and say something like, “Oh really” and we spent the next couple of minutes chatting it up. I really should pick men up more often, it’s scary at first but getting a great response is an adrenaline rush! Ladies, do you use pick up lines on men? What has worked for you? Does it bother you when men approach you with a pick up line? What if it’s a really great one?
Guys, do you ever get approached by women in public? Do they use pick up lines on you? What is the best line a woman has used on you?

I have a few friends that are good at flirting with men. I imagine it’s a great skill to have, but I don’t have it. I’m usually the shy one.
As abc posted, I’m sure it has something to do with my upbringing.

Morning Gang!
I had a wonderful weekend! Hung out Saturday with my main 2 college buddies & it was great being back with the crew again! We are going to make it a monthly thing, either just us ladies or with our guys. Either way, it was fantabulous!
I’ve never used lines. I just give compliments, and like you Professor, I give them out to everyone. I like giving credit where it’s due & I’ve never not had anyone to not respond favorably to a compliment. I think just about everyone has SOMETHING attractive about them.
abc – The teeth compliment is not uncommon, especially for me. I LOVE nice teeth on a man! It’s one of the first things I notice. I love a pleasant smile too on a man, I’m not impressed by the intense, brooding, hard look. You don’t have to walk around like Joe Sunshine, but don’t go around looking like you kill serially either!LOL!!

Go on youtube or download the orginial off of itunes. Usher kept the orginial keyboard notes in…I love that song. It was one of my favorites in the 80’s.
Are you a big fan of Will Downing? You know a few years back he did a remake on the 80’s classic “I Go Crazy” by Paul Davis. I love that one too. I am not a fan or remakes or samples either.

i’ve dabbled in Will Downing a little, but usually just what i hear on the radio. I’m glad Usher left the orig. keyboard notes in cause that is what makes the song, i had to listen a second time to focus on the words beyond the chorus/hook

@Princess Will is great, but I don’t pull him out as often as I used to. On the Mo’Nique show Trey Songz said that not all ladies get that “You Gon Think I Invented Sex” type of loving that is reserved for the special ones I guess he is just running through the rest of the groupies.

Professor, I watched a old Soul Train rerun over the weekend. The guest performers were Sister Sledge & Ray Parker Jr. The clothes, hairstyles, music – I just shook my head, but that was the style! It was fun watching though!

Kimmie – Aww the Infamous Second Date.. It ended up with me cussing at her and her cussing at me..

It went well we actually just hung out all weekend.. She came and watched me Ref a few games and we went from there.. All over the A.. Spot jumping all weekend.. She was laughing her head off at the 420 fest when a dude puked all over his buddy.. We drank a few brews and we both decided we werent gonna be a casualty of the Keg Beer, so we drank our water the rest of the evening and listened to music at the Dogwood fest.. She had on running shoes yesterday and some nice little shorts with pockets on the side as did I.. I told her she was trying to dress like me.. Her boobs looked realy good in the little t she had on.. Oh and we took our bikes too so it was cool to ride through the spots chillin..
