What just happened?

It is so perplexing when men are attracted to you one minute and the next they act all weird and distant.  I can understand when someone doesn’t want to pursue things. I get confused when they come on so strong and then start to backpedal.  Are women guilty of doing the same thing to men?

I’m usually not the type to come on too strong because I have that cautious nature that puts the brakes on.  Even when I feel like I am plunging into the “new man” haze head first, I remain cautiously optimistic until things start to progress.  Sometimes there is a shift in attraction.  You figure out that the person who once made an impression on you really isn’t that compatible with you after all. What is your next move?

What are ways you  can tell you are attracted to someone?  Let’s go beyond the obvious, “I want to see them naked” barometer to test how strong your attraction is; how can you determine that your attraction is significant enough to compel you to focus on just them?

How do you handle it when you are attracted to someone unexpectedly?  Just because it catches you off guard, does that mean you won’t pursue things?

I have a gf who is a Witness. She is always giving me Watch Tower and Awake magazines when we meet for lunch. I take them from her and throw them away as soon as I walk past a trash can.

Love her though.

Tyler Perry, gay. Keep that dress off.

Melo, they do what they do to meat that quota. They are a persistent bunch, more power to them. :) It has not gotten to the point to me putting the dog on them yet.

Melo, LOL :)

I mean maybe if the Witness had Girl Scout Cookies or some Candy Bars to sell I may open the door. Or maybe if I opened the door naked at attention and say “Where is your God Now?”(from the movie 300) then they would not come back. LOL

I asked her about it. She says that they are required to do a certain number of *field service hours* a month (or year or something.)

Just listening to her talk about it…they actually seem kinda cult-ish to me.

I wont even talk about how Italians as a whole are almost always portrayed in movies or TV.
Now, Carlito you know talking about negative stereotypes is like preaching to the choir on this blog. lol I agree with you though…Hollywood is pretty one dimensional when it comes to portraying people.

it doesn’t matter. People aren’t going to even see it like that. All they are going to see is he ain’t got no job. Period. Who cares how other people see it? Unemployment is a real issue, for everyone in this economy. There are millions of white women dealing with their white husband out of a job, but TP’s movies aren’t focusing on that audience. Now, if Troy quit his job to try and become a rapper, then I’m with you all the way. lol

Peter McWilliams: To the degree we’re not living our dreams; our comfort zone has more control of us than we have over ourselves.

Johann Wolfgang Von Goeth: To think is easy. To act is difficult. To act as one thinks is the most difficult.
