Dangerous Curves
An interesting thing about scientific studies , they reveal a lot about human behavior while further confirming what we already see every day. I read this article, Curvy women like a drug to men’s brains, yesterday that stated, “For the study, 14 men with the average age of 25 looked at “before” and “after” pictures of nude women who had plastic surgery to get more shapely behinds.” Researchers concluded by the male response that, “photos of the women resulted in increased activity in the part of the brain associated with rewards.”
Well, I suppose this study has a lot a lot of merit, but any nude picture of women is bound to to cause some kind of stimuli in a man. I found it interesting that they attributed the male’s biological response as scientific explanation of “sexual harassment, whistling to women on the street, etc. They even said that some of this research can be used in understanding more about sexual addiction. (Insert your own famous golfer joke here).
What do you think about the research? Do you think women should be studied to see what they’re response to the male form is? After seeing Alvin Ailey male dancers perform, I can attest to being “mesmerized” by the physical male body. It’s a beautiful thing. Oh yes, it is. But I digress.
What do you think this study says about how men and women perceive each others physical appearance? How does this show up in how we interact on the dating scene? Should women play up or play down their dangerous curves if they want to attract the right kind of attention?

For me, Love Jones was a movie about people JUST LIKE ME. They were about my age going through the same kinds of things that me and my friends were experiencing at that time in my life. It was just a very real movie for me. And I related to it in a real way.
And in the end, it still lets you believe in love.

I emailed some questions to my fitness trainer ’bout the Luna & Pria bars, ect….
look at this response…
You can spend $1-3 on energy bars, each saying they provide carbs and protein in a magic mix. But the story is many of them are no different from a Snickers bar or a Pop Tart. I admit to eating protein bars for convenience during/after a workout, but I try to avoid low carb bars that use sugar alcohols because they can affect digestion in a very bad way. You can save money by buying trail mix or mixing up some of your own from raisins, nuts, yogurt chips, etc.

I agree it is a deep movie that explores many aspects of dating shacking wanting to marry attempting to divorce and bottomline FRIENDSHIP between the opposite sex and same sex….to me alll is important to be successful!

when it comes to fitness. I found out that for me its about quantity “vs” quality. If I chose to eat pizza, as long as I didn’t eat more than 2 slices and I still got my cardio in, I was good. I found a balance. I get to eat whatever I want, with exercise and maintain my size 5-6 ( in some jeans at least)

SCool – Yeah, I could so relate to that movie. And Larenz Tate & Nia Long were at their peak in that movie. And the dude Nia was engaged to that she went up to NY to stay with in the movie – looks just like an ex of mine!LOL!! And love Isiah Washington, too!
