Mix and Mingle For a Cause
If you don’t already know this, volunteering is sexy. In fact, I’ll take it further and say that single people who actively contribute time and efforts to their communities and charities make the best dates ever. Guys, if you can manage to enlighten your date about your volunteer work, I can’t tell you how impressive this is to a smart woman. It shows a lot about your character and ideals. It also sends the message that you possess traits that would be desirable in a husband and/or father.
I’m not even talking about saving the world or some superman heroics here. Heck, just seeing a good looking man at the recycling center makes me swoon. I’m all “aww he cares about the environment, I bet he has a big heart” - I’m a softie that way.
One of the wonderful things about Atlanta is that there are so many great charities and organizations that provide countless of opportunities to get involved. If you are going to get all dressed up to go out anyway, why not mix and mingle for a cause! Why not check out the local charities who have annual fundraisers? Are you currently involved with a volunteer project or organization?
Of course, you shouldn’t go overboard and attempt to treat charity/volunteering events like some speed-dating function. Please, don’t be that guy/girl. I just believe that when you are already participating in something that is important to you then you will feel good about yourself. Which, in turn, can make your confidence go up. It’s win-win. I’m not saying you will definitely meet someone wonderful but chances are you will at least connect with like-minded people who care!
Have you ever taken a date to a volunteer event or community service project? What would you do if your first date was at a food bank or a shelter? Personally.. I would be impressed. I know a lot of guys would think I would pout or whine about it. As much as I love looking cute on a date, I would throw on some comfy clothes and shoes with no problem. Some guys think that is when we look the sexiest (I’m looking at you, Drake).

Slim……i remember taking shots……next thing i remember is passing a can of hurricane (i’m so ashamed) with my roomates…….remember giving my car keys to my brother…….next thing i remember is my then bf giving me two excedrin and some sprite at tha point i was in my pjs that i kept at his house no idea how that happened…..fst fwd next morning aching from all the acrobatics…..

On the real Snik that goes back to what I said yesterday about some of the language being the same in SC or the islands. Some of what you/I said was geechie but I also threw in some Trini and Dreams was straight Patois. Between the geechi and Trini I get my accent both ways but I wouldn’t change it for anyting. I can’t do tequila either. Have not had any in 6 years. Messed around and had the real tequila in Michigan a client brought from Mexico and me and Miss Michigan drank the whole bottle and ate the worm and woke up in the hospital. I told God if you let me live thru this I wont promise you I will never drink again, but I won’t drink tequila

It aint no joke. I mean we was blacking out and coming to. They even tried to sue me because she was supposed to speak at an engagement but couldnt because she fell head first in the corner of a table. 8 stitches. They told me that we had a crowd watching us do that stupid ish and they were like you want us to take you home. I was like hell no. Take me to the hospital with her. Alcohol poisoning. I have been tore up in my day but that was an out of body experience.

DIG – Damn, fell into corner of a table WOOOOOWWWW! You all must’ve really been having a blast not to realize you were getting THAT flucked up?!!! I remember back at GA Southern I got tow up…fell down a whole flight of stairs.
Another time, i say i was about 21/22 yrs old. Went to some spot in lil 5 points. Was taking shots of Grand Manier, not sure how I made it home but my grown azz ended up peeing in the bed. GUess I must’ve blacked out after I laid down. Bad part about it, my bf was there too…which is how I found out cuz he was shaking the shyt outta of me to wake up once he felt the wetness. I was still such a hotmess, he got me up, put me in tub, and cleaned everything up.
