Mix and Mingle For a Cause
If you don’t already know this, volunteering is sexy. In fact, I’ll take it further and say that single people who actively contribute time and efforts to their communities and charities make the best dates ever. Guys, if you can manage to enlighten your date about your volunteer work, I can’t tell you how impressive this is to a smart woman. It shows a lot about your character and ideals. It also sends the message that you possess traits that would be desirable in a husband and/or father.
I’m not even talking about saving the world or some superman heroics here. Heck, just seeing a good looking man at the recycling center makes me swoon. I’m all “aww he cares about the environment, I bet he has a big heart” - I’m a softie that way.
One of the wonderful things about Atlanta is that there are so many great charities and organizations that provide countless of opportunities to get involved. If you are going to get all dressed up to go out anyway, why not mix and mingle for a cause! Why not check out the local charities who have annual fundraisers? Are you currently involved with a volunteer project or organization?
Of course, you shouldn’t go overboard and attempt to treat charity/volunteering events like some speed-dating function. Please, don’t be that guy/girl. I just believe that when you are already participating in something that is important to you then you will feel good about yourself. Which, in turn, can make your confidence go up. It’s win-win. I’m not saying you will definitely meet someone wonderful but chances are you will at least connect with like-minded people who care!
Have you ever taken a date to a volunteer event or community service project? What would you do if your first date was at a food bank or a shelter? Personally.. I would be impressed. I know a lot of guys would think I would pout or whine about it. As much as I love looking cute on a date, I would throw on some comfy clothes and shoes with no problem. Some guys think that is when we look the sexiest (I’m looking at you, Drake).

Tiger does not sound sincere because he is not at this moment. It’s a staged speech. It’s choreographed. He and his “staff” hand picked who was allowed at the conference and he “apology” was written for him. No questions from the press is allowed.
But why go thru all of that. He owes no one an explanation but his wife. If the golf committee wants him back then let him back in. He does not owe them an apology especially if they are not looking for one. What he did was to his home not the game or the golf committee.

Raqui, you are right, however in most endorsment contracts there is usually a clause about your image and the company’s image yadda yadda yadd, so trust he is only doing this in an effor to get his endorsements back.

They want Tiger back,for their selfish bissness reasons but they felt that public apology was necesary.He is a perfomer on the field of play and they make money off him and him vice versa.Their messages to the kids and the buying public wldnt have been possible unless Tiger apologized.
He proly also didnt want to go thru that route,no wonder he was arrogant enough to ask the media to stay outa his pvt lyfe(what du make of that??).He owes answers to nobody but his wife,he said so.

Tiger – leave that man alone. He did it, probably not done doing it but I agree, that’s between him, wife and God (he may not agree since he’s buddist) but yeah, God. What I think is more shameful than his infidelities is the fact that the media, being the hypocrites they are are making such a big tado. Heck, his wife got what all other women have been getting for years, whose husbands are roving philanderers. I won’t say get over it because it’s not behavior that should be downplayed but I will say girl do whatcha gotta. Be it leave with half or say and make him deal with it or forgive and move on.

Lurker, there were some talking about the conference here yesterday and debating as to whether Elin was going to be by his side or not. While some of the men say she should forgive him, those same men said they would not accept nor stay with their wives cheating on them especially with that many men. Tiger supposedly was with 12 other women while married to Elin.

Me, I’d take the money and then…..poof, ghost! Oh we’d see each other in passing for the sake of the kids but I’d be nada, nothing. Only the necessary exchange in speech since sign language probably wouldn’t suffice. But I’d nothing to say. No whining, no yelling, no screaming, nothing…just plain ole done! Volunteering is usually something that I do to keep me occupied when I have too much time on my hands. Other than that, I give at church. I give at the office and do some other small one on one things. Would I want to do it as a ‘date’? Probably not. However, TheDude and I do have plans to do some volunteering together, but we have actually reached a stage of commitment and see it as something that we want to be involved in as a couple as opposed to something that we are doing for entertainment.

CeeMee you’d be surprised but yes I’ve seen it happen. Our team usually has a cake n ice cream party but I’ve seen others give some interesting stuff. Plus keep in mind that there are people from around the globe working together…to some those little things mean alot b/c they’re not used to it.

I have never understood the mindset of swingers and I don’t want to understand it. Knowing that men have a harder time accepting their wives being with someone else while with them, I think they probably rationlize it in their mind by saying it’s the price to pay for them to get to sleep with other women outside of their marriage without the consequences of what could happen should they be fought out to be unfaithful.
It really has to take the meeting of the minds. They can have it.
