Billboard of Shame

If you happened to have missed the headlines last week, Atlanta was one of the cities included in the “vengeance by billboard” by YaVaugnie Wilkins.

There is certainly a lot that is not being told about the couple’s history. Mr. Phillips made his public statement about an 8-year relationship with Ms. Wilkins. I think what struck me the most was how a relationship ends up like this after such a long time.

The whole saga seems deeper than “hell hath no fury”. Maybe it is a cautionary tale about how well we know the people we are dating or committed to. Do you think a person can conceal an entire marriage without showing any signs?

What happens when someone is not the person they portray themselves to be? If you found out that you had been dating a married person, how would you react?

What is it about love gone wrong that makes us want to exact revenge, anyway? Have you ever gone out of your way to humiliate or embarrass someone who betrayed you? Did it make you feel better?

Do you think we have a sense of entitlement when it comes to breakups? Are we owed some type of retribution for being hurt?

kimmie, I have watched a couple of episodes of snapped and I hear all the horror stories in the news every day. People go around playing with other people’s emotions not knowing where that snapping point is. You can push people too far and the results can be deadly.

I have never been one

Melo – That’s the best way to avoid being on Snapped or being the “Snappee” – don’t be “that” guy – that plays with a ladies feelings!LOL!!

But sometimes, no matter how nice you’ve been or how carefully you think you’ve chosen, heartache can just be part of life. It may be someone you really loved and cared for does not feel the same for you and breaks up with you. Being a stable person, you may hurt, but you lick your wounds, chalk it up to the game, get yourself together & move on. Other, less stable folk – can’t deal with it, and a lot of things in life, rationally.

The other part of that (11:57) is the damage that you cause and don’t see.

Hearing about crushing some female in passing does something to you…

what snapped about?

Melo – Google it & watch an episode of it. It comes on Oxygen and it’s all these true stories about women that have “snapped” and killed their lovers or husbands! A lot of the cases you’ve heard about in the news, like the GA lady who poisoned & killed 2 husbands with antifreeze – these stories usually end up on Snapped!

@Melo ~ it’s been stated that Cheaters is staged. Hired people to pose as the jilted wife or gf. Even Jerry Greco has been questioned over his infamous knife stabbing on the boat.

Snapped is about wifes, girlfriends, mistresses that emotionally breakdown usually through killing. I few supposedly hitmen have staged murders only to have the woman wide eyed when the alleged victim walks into the room/courthouse.

Those old “crushes” die hard, and your boy in Vegas knew that. Every dude knows that whenever he runs into a chick that says, “I used to have the biggest crush on you”, it usually means he can get still get it, no matter the circumstance (involved, married, whatever).

I went to a party this past Saturday and saw a few things that looked strange. I knew everyone at the party except this one dude. He was knew to the circle so naturally I inquired about him. He had to be about 6′8 and nice looking. What caught my attention other than his height is the fact that he walked around the entire evening with his own 40 oz of Budweiser. Secondly, I quickly found out he was with a woman there. He’s 43 and she looks to be close to 60. My gf advised me to stay away from him cuz the elevator didn’t go all the way up. The gf I went to the party w/asked him about the 40 oz, and he said he was from Connecticut and that’s how they roll. Been to many parties in Connecticut and I never saw that. Anyway, he followed me and my gf outside as she puffed on her medicine trying to talk to either one of that would talk back. We didn’t. Long story short, just before I was leaving he saw me by the kitchen sink alone and he placed a piece of paper by my wine glass. I opened it, looked at him, looked at his girl and walked over to her and gave her his piece of paper. What happened after that I could care less.

Ok, on to Sunday. My friend who gave the party called me laughing at me and my antics. Said homegirl was peeved and would have felt better if I had pulled her to the side and given her number. You see, that tells me one thing only…she can forgive him and not look like a fool to those who witness me giving her back his number. They’re suppose to get married.

Mdot, I said that I was with him again. Meaning I laid with him knowing full well he was married. It only happened once. My son was six months at the time and he was the last guy that I had been with which was at the beginning of my pregnancy. I let my guard down.

After that I was able to fight it. It was hard sometimes but I managed. About 2 years after that I met someone else. That lasted for almost 2 years. After that I dated every now and then but was not in a relationship for almost 4 years. Nothing physical just going out here and there.

@Raqi

Ok. Thanks for explaining that.

I have a question, it’s crazy but who do you all think is better at concealing cheating especially in a marriage? A friend’s aunt was an infamous cheater and her husband never really caught on. Also I know some guy’s that cheat on their wives, but I think it may be a necessity motive; meaning as long as everything is taken care of, the women really wont question.

Here is my thoughts on the cheaters: Men lie, but women are slick. If you are slick you are bound to slide.

I am generalizing but here are some examples:

Guy Example:

He may lie about being at the mall but he may be with his other woman.

Woman Example:

She will say she was at the mall with her friend; which she probably was but also she may have had lunch with a guy she is seeing and she had him meet her at the mall but you didnt ask so she was vague but technically she didnt lie.

Guys need to listen more!
