I think my date double-booked on me. Last weekend, we agreed to meet up after work for a little “happy hour” and flirting. After a couple of hours, he seemed to be ready to move on to the next stop. Needless to say, I wasn’t invited. He wasn’t exactly checking his watch every few minutes but sometimes a girl just knows.
He sent a text message the next day, I declined to meet up with him later in the weekend. It was not because of the double-booking, I had other plans already. I am actually guilty of double-booking guys in one day, so I couldn’t really get mad that someone did it to me.
When you schedule dates or agree to go out with someone, do you pay much attention to the time of day or the day of the week that they suggest? If you are “penciled in” for drinks or meet up for coffee, do you consider that insulting?
My friend Greg said that he “threw me a date bone” because I only was granted the less then desirable happy hour hook up. I have to admit, I thought he was just being frugal, it never crossed my mind that he was selling me short with an after work meet up. There goes my ego, again.
Do guys send some kind of hidden message by the amount of time they spend with you on a date? Do men notice what days/times women are available to see them?
What is the acceptable amount of time for the first couple of dates with someone you like? What if you are “lukewarm” about them and need some time to find a deeper attraction?
I really think the “outside the box” dates really are helpful in these cases. The pressure is off to be “on” the whole time or slip into a date interview mode.
I am trying to figure out who I should take to the Professional Bull Riding. It needs to be someone who enjoys shaking things up and would make it even an more fun experience.
How open are you for a non-traditional date? Do you think daytime dates that last a significantly longer time then an evening date is a good idea? Do you ever put a time limit on your dates?

Did we lurkers, bloggers miss something? A vendetta? Unless something occured in the world of for real, a vendetta is a bit much don’t you think? What could possibly be vindicated using words over the airwaves? Maybe a break from blogsville and time back to the for real world with a spot is warm tea is needed. I, the mayor give all uptight bloggers a 5 day furlow.

Mo if you did nothing different with your diet and exercise but just cut out the soda, you’d lose those 10 lbs in a year. just FYI. the sacrifice may be worth it.
of course, if you kick up your activity level the pounds would go in only 2-3 months. this is exactly my struggle year in and year out. i have to stay faithful to my yoga and walking to make up for the fact that i don’t want to give up certain things in my diet

Melo, I got hit with a nearly 12% increase this year. And my friend would kill me for saying this but maybe the physicians need to lower their cost a bit.
What will probably end up happening is the insurance companies will start paying the doctors a lower percentage. While some doctors already don’t accept certain insurance because of what they will and will not pay, if more of them paid the same across the board they could force all the doctors to lower their cost a bit. I know that is why United Healthcare had a falling out with Saint Joseph this year. They didn’t like the percentages that United was wanting to pay them.

Dream_n ~ thanks, but you know Charles is one of our regulars posing as a lurker. And from the looks of things he spends more time reading me (another fan) and trying to paint a picture of who I be…so if what he is saying is true my best conclusion is this…I am on his mind. Hot damn another fan club member!
@Leggs yes being able to eat chips does not mean you can work all day in a sedentary capacity…shoot you might not be able to work a half day.
Melo I know the blues allow you to use their networks across state lines, but I am not sure if they do this because the organization has facilities in different states…I will look into it and let you know

Melo, employment won’t recover until after the next Presidential election. Estimates are along the lines of in 2010, recovering 3% of jobs lost over the past 18 months; in 2011, another 5%; in 2012, 33%; in 2013, 55-60%. In other words, jobs won’t recover for another 2-3 years.

Cee — I did make reference to potential little swisses a few days ago, but there’s nothing cooking in the oven yet…
We’re not really making any concerted efforts to try right now, but we’re not doing anything to prevent it, if it just so happens….
Top priority for the moment is to get moved into the new homestead — scheduled to close in December.

Leggs, been there. The only way I eventually weaned myself from it was to start watering it down. Then drinking it every other day and so on. Eventually I didn’t miss it. I made a big mistake and drank a full strong cup and it gave me a bad case of the jitters.
I don’t know if that would work with soda because watering down soda would make it flat. Maybe Mo can switch to the smaller cans of soda first before trying to give it up altogether. I am not sure what the ounces are, maybe 6.

United Healthcare??? the biggest but in my view, one of the most fckked up insurance companies, among others.
Queen has that thru her employer,we dont even use it….
abc,i agree that jobs will be a problem and will be even more so if the health care thing passes.
Obama,if that happens, will be a one termer….one of the greatest Prezidente of America…but that acccolade will come, well after he has left office.
Because of health care passage.

I think that’s an excellent recommendation for Mo. If you have to have the soda tease yourself with the minature cans they have out now. It’s just enough to whet your whistle!

i was addicted to that particular cola at about a six-pack a day. when the doc showed me x-rays with calcium deposits all over my body (and i was only in my 20s then), that was enough to send me to rehab. now it’s water all day long. i do fight the urge to pulverize a family-size bag of lay’s chips on a daily basis tho. i hate what aging has done to my metabolism

czBrat – I blame college! I was not addicted to soda til then! I used to carry a couple of six packs in the trunk of my car. Now I dont buy any cases/six packs/2 liters. I get it when I want it and thats it and that has curbed a lot of my intake. But it could stand to be curbed a lil more. Its more of a bad habit than an actual craving

Mo, i replaced that addiction to Pepsi with a pica for ice. just ate crushed ice day and night. i stayed down in the 120 lb range for several years with that unhealthy habit. then, of course, doc started complaining about that too! kinda wish i could pick it up again right about now
