Time’s Up

I think my date double-booked on me. Last weekend, we agreed to meet up after work for a little “happy hour” and flirting.  After a couple of hours, he seemed to be ready to move on to the next stop. Needless to say,  I wasn’t invited.  He wasn’t exactly checking his watch every few minutes but sometimes a girl just knows.

He sent a text message the next day, I declined to meet up with him later in the weekend. It was not because of the double-booking, I had other plans already. I am actually guilty of double-booking guys in one day, so I couldn’t really get mad that someone did it to me.

When you schedule dates or agree to go out with someone, do you pay much attention to the time of day or the day of the week that they suggest?  If you are “penciled in” for drinks or meet up for coffee, do you consider that insulting?

My friend Greg said that he “threw me a date bone” because I only was granted the less then desirable happy hour hook up. I have to admit, I thought he was just being frugal, it never crossed my mind that he was selling me short with an after work meet up. There goes my ego, again.

Do guys send some kind of hidden message by the amount of time they spend with you on a date? Do men notice what days/times women are available to see them?

What is the acceptable amount of time for the first couple of dates with someone you like? What if you are “lukewarm” about them and need some time to find a deeper attraction?

I really think the “outside the box” dates really are helpful in these cases. The pressure is off to be “on” the whole time or slip into a date interview mode.

I am trying to figure out who I should take to the Professional Bull Riding. It needs to be someone who enjoys shaking things up and would make it even an more fun experience.

How open are you for a non-traditional date? Do you think daytime dates that last a significantly longer time then an evening date is a good idea? Do you ever put a time limit on your dates?

Obama’s quoted the other day as being skeptical of even running for a 2nd term. I wonder if that’s true, or BS to deflect some of the opposition’s vitriol.

…I see we have some powerless folks on here that has not even made it to the bottom of the org chart less more the top of it. I am not here to teach your lazy azz how to make it in this world.

For the record you need to learn that it is not who signs the check it is as long as you get a check from a paying individual or organization! Are you so dumb to think that Kroger’s, Publix etc see you as the boss and the head person in charge and YOU have authority governing their organization because you bought $100 worth of food and signed a check payable to that organization? Go sit your dumb azz down, because I can see why you are sitting in that cube if that is how your warped mine works.

Now start using your regular moniker and become fearless…

His biggest opposition right now is the unemployement rate. When it gets down,im sure he be more inclined to smile more and think about the 2nd term.

‘Fessor – I’ve found myself dipping in and out of this forum. Some days entertainment. Some enlightening. But often informative. But young lady I have to say you consistently read as a very disgruntled, self absorbed yet very miserable woman. Try channeling those frustrations better than you have displayed on this forum. It turns folks off and pitiful to watch/read all the same [as I reference the number of comments].

And in the words of my wife, “that is NOT attractive”. Now hoping you and your [expected] comeback are not as predictable as you’ve shown yourself to be as of late.

Now try taking a deep breath before pressing that submit button. It will be alright babe.

Good day.

Melo, what do you think about this health care reform?

Health reform per se is a good thing. Its unconscionable that 46 million pple dont have health insurance and care in the most prosperous country on earth!
This health reform in the senate will have ur taxes jacked up(mine and urs too) no qstion but i think its becoz there is resistance by coprorations and pple of means who just dont want change,Period!

If it passes, after a while and the initial shock of it,rates will go down(as more pple come on board) and pple accept the new status quo.
Right now,any marginal increase in taxes by congress to the insurers will be passed down to u and I,not becoz the insureres cannot absorb it,No,just to spite the folks in power.

Those insurance folks are the most jack assses u can ever find, the most rich and the most ruthless,classless.muthafckkrrss@#$^&%$ u can ever find.

So true and it has been my experience that the top five healthcare providers really control the entire show. Example if you have an organization that switch their healthcare provider too often lets say 3x in five years. Well other top tier providers will not accept them, because they moved around for the best rate, and the insurance companies will do what is best for the industry. It is almost as if they are saying guess what your organization will not buy from a top tier and go explain that to your associates. There are a lot of games played by them, and it is interesting watching how this all will play out.

Not to mention the guy on GMA that lost his disability insurance for eating chips and salsa.

Melo, while the intentions may be good I can’t help but she traces of totalitarianism all over it.

My friend and I were talking about the breast exam issue and them trying to say only women 50 and older should get it. That’s crazy. And for the insurance not to pay because of such a ridiculous law being passed is even worse. Many woman younger 40 are being hit with breast cancer. My doctor suggests to her patients to get check as young as 35.

It may be a good system one day, but there are many issues that need to still get worked out.

Ahh… how to derive one’s porn name… Right, it’s the combination of your first pet’s name + the street you grew up on.

Example:

(first pet = Buckshot) + (Street I grew up on = Prior Station Rd) * (porn name equation) = Buckshot Prior

Although I’m sure Prof is more than capable of handeling her own, I must chime in on this one.

Blogging is definately about opinions/debates and whatnot, but when some monikers attack you based off of their own personal vendetta, then you are more than welcome to defend yourself back.

Now if you collectively read everyone’s comments as you stated, then you will also read what prompts said attacks.

Proff/Raqi, i think the powers that be shld just make companies compete across state lines.

The barries of entry maybe high for new companies but they need to subsidize the new comers smehow, that way, there is more robust competetion. Then mandate that everybody get health insurance,46 mill +.
More pple join in,more companies are available, health insurance costs will go down coz risk is spread over a larger base.

Do away at that point with the public plan…that will make u go to the hosp and have to wait 6 hrs to be seen by a doc,Think Grady!
