Bedside Manner

Most women will agree that the relationship with her doctor is not unlike the one she has with her man.  She has to be able to trust the person and feel comfortable with them.  When you consider bedside manner, very few women will put up with a rude, inconsiderate physician that makes her feel horrible.

That is why I find it so strange that so many women put up with the same behavior from the men that they date.  A man’s bedroom behavior says a lot about his personality and character. The same as for women, men probably pay attention to how she handles herself.

I found a list of tips that are recommended for doctors, imagine that these are bedroom tips:

  • Be a good listener, patients may need to be encouraged to express their concerns and anxieties.
  • Be non-judgemental, avoid stereotyping patients on appearance or cultural or social background.
  • Avoid making any unnecessary personal remarks or jokes, especially when the consultation involves matters of an intimate nature.
  • Acknowledge the patient’s emotions and that they may be feeling frightened or anxious and need reassurance.
  • Approach all patients in a caring and considerate manner.
  • Remember, patients have busy lives, be mindful of waiting time

What do you think is good bedside manner is? What would you do if someone’s bedside manner was awful? If you think the person is worth it, do you bring it up?

Worshipping together is very important to me, however the Bible and the Word is dear to me. So it is difficult for me to share this with a SO unless we are on the same page…I don’t want foreplay making me late for church….that makes me feels like I am playing with God…especially if we are both sitting there together. My conscious is a mess!

My bff wants to throw a whole party for NYE – on an old promote and pre-selling tickets type deal. I’m feeling more of an intimate three to five couples inside kinda event.

What to do? Support my bff? Go with my gut?
I’m liking my original thought much better.

Ledisi, Mint Condition and Eric Benet make you continue to appreciate what “real” music is. I was surprised to see a lot of empty seats at the Fox- but I know folks are being careful where they spend their money.

SC my conscious has always been like that…I think it comes from my early years I was grounded in my faith and prayed for a lot of things and I received them. So, I feel bad about how He continues to bless me and I am so unworthy…it’s me so skip over my blogs on that topic.

As for NYE if I don’t do the concerts or a sporting events, I like doing the small event with a few couples…in the past when I have done this we did seafood…lobster and crab legs and fried shrimp plus the fixings…played cards…music etc., and a few times we did a breakfast food with champagne and made mimosas.

SC- I sat down below in the Orchestra section in the center just in front of the sound board. During one of the intermissions was when I saw all of the empty seats.
Eric Benet tickled me with the stories before each song. And Ledisi, she is just on fire.

Mo’ it looks like I need to plan on being out of the Atlanta area unless I decide to do a bowl game. I am going to look online and see where something good is happening at and maybe go to Miami, Orlando or Vegas or something. Otherwise I will see Kem on the 30th and chill out on the 31st

Prof – No, really. I am >>here<< with you on that. Being raised so strictly in the church and all. (Who would know, right?) Anteeways, I struggle sometimes with feeling worthy. None of us really are. We are worthy simply because we are His own. Nothing more, nothing less. I just have to keep reminding myself that it is because of His grace and mercy and not my worthiness.
But I didn’t REALLY have to say all of that. You know it already. lol

“visiting each others place or worship is more personal to me than meeting each others family.”

czBrat How so? If you visit his/her church you might not get a real good view of where they came from…family can sometimes fool around and give you more than you need to know. The Usher board and Pastor only know as much as been shared.

i guess it can go either way…

Cemeeli – I agree with the “more personal” sentiment of what czB is talking about.

My relationship with God is very personal. And allowing somebody into my worship time is important to me because I want to know whether or not, he will worship in like ways, whether he will be free to express himself in praise or whether he could possibly make me feel uncomfortable in expressing mine.

When I am before Him, I am naked and vulnerable. And I really want to know if I can share that vulnerability with him and whether he trusts me enough to let his guard down in the same way.

Cemeeli what i mean is, i’ve met the families of guys i’ve dated (and they’ve met mine) … not a huge deal. but when you reach the point of attending church(s) together that is a very personal step in the relationship for me. that says so much more, IMO.

just a light thought with that “personal note” him getting close and fellowshipping with my family…cause they would be more able to tell him if i’m faithful to love, or how indignant or stressed i might get in times of trouble verses my church fam.

But him attending church with me is special but not AS important.
