I agree with Sassy that “To depend on someone else for your own happiness/completeness is unfair to all parties concerned.”

I would add that to depend on something else for your happiness will also lead to disappointment.

I will bet that there are or will be times when he islooking at the ceiling at 2:00 AM on a Sturday night, that he ralizes the life he bought for himself…and ralizes how bad he screwed up. May never admit it, but he will feel it, probably.

considering the path he chose, i believe the kids are blessed that he wrote them off. he would have been a very bad influence. of course, there is nothing i can do or say to convince them they are loved by the man who helped create them. that’s gotta hurt no matter who your daddy is.

He has no idea what he is robbing himself of, as well as you and your children. My children are and always have been more important to me than anything or anyone…myself included. I can h onestly say I would walk out in front of a truck for any one of them and never bat an eye.

Yeah. have a great relationship with all three of my children. Daughter called just a little bit ago and wants me to go with her to the Fox tonight. Yeah, I’m lucky (and don’t have to put up with the other ish anymore). Life is good.

You could be in their life… but not romantically in mommy’s life.. I’m sure you’ve learned that……… hence the divorce… It’s not about not putting our children first, its about making sure you are happy in order to perpetuate that onto them also… A happy mommy and daddy makes for some very happy children
