My personal experience and observations reveal another possibility – that women who are apprehensive and hesistant to actually marry or have a real desire to be in a committed relationship find the possibility of having a fling or more with a married man appealing. It provides excitement, intimacy and romantic intrigue without obligations, long term commitments or the “inconvenience” of major changes of lifestyles. Of course, sometimes it results in the unexpected and is always a poor choice. But it’s very magnetic for those of us who are gun-shy due to negative prior commitments/marriages or simply psychological issues, etc.

We are all attracted to others no matter if we are in a relationship or not. However, I think that if one gets attracted to another who is in a committed relationship, then we should not pursue it. I think women are more guilty of this than men but that is just a thought. I think the “challenge” of “getting him” is what is intriguing. Many people I know just like the “win” and after they break up a marriage they lose interest. Sad but true.
