Blame Angelina Jolie
There has been actual research on so-called “mate poaching”. They found out that a lot of single women aren’t exactly hunting for other singles. Sometimes, they look for the coupled up men and “poach” them away from their current relationship. It’s like the Angelina Jolie syndrome because she supposedly began a relationship with Brad Pitt while he was married.
The results of the research: “Single women were more interested in the man when he was described as attached (90% interested) than when he was described as single (59%). Men showed no difference in interest between a single and attached woman.”
The thing about these studies is that don’t leave much room for the variables. It’s interesting nonetheless, to see the “scientific” analysis about why women are attracted to men who aren’t available. What are your thoughts?
When you meet someone you are attracted to, is it more appealing when you find out a person is involved with someone already? Have you ever pursued someone who had a significant other?
Have you ever been involved with someone and met somebody else that you felt you was the person you were meant to be with? How do you tell the person you are in a relationship that you are in love with another person?

@Tazzee I am not taking pleasure in it I am just applying logic to it. Think about it all of us have been hurt and wanted to lash out to those who hurt us. I know I did..heck still do if given air and a opportunity. So this is the forum they found to express it in. Only problem they want the blog to serve as advisor and amen corner for their pain. So they come back to where it all started for that support. Problem is no one here is giving that support. Oh sure folks are saying Karma will come around, The Lawd will get you, but most folks are looking at the situation and saying “I knew dude was not right,” I knew something was funky, blah,blah. No one started the W8 aint great club. And the ones hurt are still seeking a audience for support. Like I said last week even if no one else will say it. “We don’t care, we just nosy.”

@Cee/Infamous ~ If Fletcher is still making the pizza he made when he owned “Al’s Pizza” that’s not even close to real pizza (unless something has changed over the years). The Pizzeria on Chamblee-Tucker Road is very good, especially there stuffed. Felini’s on Ponce and in Buckhead is satisfying. I give you that Fletcher’s wings are good, but if it’s the same pizza he was making back in the day….don’t want none of it.

Melo – I guess I should have said ’some’ people. I know I don’t share a lot of things on here because I don’t play all that lurking making comments on my stuff. I believe in reciprocity so I share with folks that share. Even on my blog, the folks that comment are folks that I know if and if someone comes out of left field then they get deleted.
And we all know that Staceye was ripe for the picking, even though she talked tough – we all knew what the real deal was. That’s why if it was actually her, I hate it even more.
AmRed – you’re right, the nation is desensitized to a lot nowadays. I refuse to watch the video of that young man in Chicago getting beaten – just hearing about it is enough to break my heart. I can’t watch a show like the First 48 (or whatever it’s called) – once I realized that it was a real dead person, not an actor, I had to turn that off.
Perhaps I’m in my own little world over here – but I like it. I like the fact that I still cry (intensely) in movies and that my heart can hurt for folks that I’ve never met.

@Ared, I agree common sense would tell a fool that all of that meeting up and partying together, even when you add the factor that a federal agent would be there was trouble. Most of us that said something were ridiculed. I remember one flunky really taking a bite out of you when you said something. Yes it is a shame that these grown lonely and desperate folks were allegedly swindled. Hell this is the year of Bernie Madoff everyone should have a tight fist surrounding their money…RECESSION!?!

I sure did I went to one and only one to watch a game at Jocks and Jills, but I was never trying to make friends I like putting a face with a name…nothing more nothing less. It was never a habit and I have never eaten out of these folks kitchen and had them making me meals and stuff.

Yeah I can believe that. What I’m referring to is someone having the ability to hurt you via the computer. IMO I can’t let anything that a stranger says to me go to my head. This blog is a tool I use to get through my day. I come here to talk, laugh, shoot the breeze, and talk about situations. I know who I am, I know who my friends are, I know where my family is.
