Things You Don’t Know
If you were to ask a man in a successful relationship what he knows about his woman, he would probably describe what makes her tick. When women are intimate with their men, they are willing to open up and be vulnerable to him. Risky business at times, but when you are with the right guy, it’s totally worth it to clue a man in on who you are.
If you were to ask single men who are dating what they know about women – in general, well there’s no telling what you would hear! Men who are dating tend to have their opinions about women based solely on the women they have met, dated, and spent quality time with in their past. Good or bad, that’s all they really know and the same goes for ladies. We tend to only draw from our personal experiences.
I think there is probably a boatload of things we don’t know about men and women. It’s hard to separate truth from fiction, reality from perception, etc., especially on a dating blog! I’m up for the challenge though, are you?
What are things the opposite sex doesn’t know, realize, understand, comprehend etc. that you wish they knew? Gender stereotypes aside, what do you think gets missed in male-female dynamic conversations?
I think we probably are more alike then we realize! How do you think we differ? How are we alike? Where do you think we get into trouble when it comes to being clueless about how the other operates?

@Ms. Main, I had to call Mama wondering why she hasn’t called on her lovely daughter to see if I’m ok. She hadn’t watched the news or read a newspaper in the past 3 days. Asked if she was ok. She said she was tired of all the negative stuff on the news. Asked her to turn on the news so she’ll know what’s going on. She called me back asking if she needed to send Noah and his Ark!

Those areas being redneckk populated mostly,think the health care protests have anything to do with GOD sending this deluge??? hehehehe

Leggs,smehow rain and asphalt dont mix nicely tgether.
Cars wld have taken much longer to inflict potholes than what rain does in a matter of few hours.
I had a lil boo boo at my house,on the side gutters..but we ok 4 the most part.

It took me 2.5 hours to get home yesterday. Only embarked upon one road closing. The rain was unrelenting! I have flood insurance (thank goodness) and expected some water in my home since I’m on a flood plain. Thankfully, I had zilch!

Yeah this has been some weather we have had. Our basement flooded just a little. The only thing really ruined was the edge of the carpet. The part of the floor where the water came in is tile so it wasn’t too bad.

melo – I live on the westside.
It took me 30 minutes to get to work and 30 minutes to get home from work yesterday.
Today, 285N is flooded. Even still I waited til 9 and took 75/85 and still got here in 35 minutes. Tomorrow, I’ll have to leave earlier if I’m gonna take the connector and get here at a decent time, but it could be worse. I have an acquaintence in Decatur who had to be evacuated and lost everything, even the cars.

@ARed ~ I read where you made it home safely and quickly yesterday. I contemplated sitting in my car at QickTrip, but knew it would be raining for a while so I got gas, used the restroom and made my trek home. It was long and tedious.

Hey Leggs,
I have a guy that works pt for me that is an Insurance agent. He was telling me you’d be surprised at how some Ins.Companies define flood damage or water damage and the tricks they use to get outta paying for things. Perfectly legal but shady at best.

WillieD we reviewed and updated our policy when one of my coworkers lost everything in a fire. She had not updated her policy since she and her husband bought the house. Over the years the kids grew up they more stuff but what they had allocated to cover personal property was not nearly enough.
When she told me her dilemma I went home and took inventory of everything we have. It took me several weekends but I got it done. I took pictures of all the major stuff like furniture, appliances, computers, television, all the stuff in the closet and whatnot. I have a file with everything organized by room listing all the items, receipts if I have them, pictures and the approximate time of purchase for things I have no receipt for.

I’ve met him, but don’t know him. He’s on the Board of Commissioners for DeKalb County. I don’t know if he had the flood insurance as he’s trying to raise $25,000.
My point really was that your statement that God was punishing the rednecks on the west side is ridiculous.

Willie you would think the mortgage companies would do a better job of determining which properties are in flood zones. It’s to their advantage to make sure there is proper coverage. If an entire house is destroyed by a flood folks have been known to walk away from the mortgage if the coverage is not there.
I know from a former friend that if you allow your homeowner’s policy to laspe the mortgage company will insure it and make you pay. I hope they at least are getting the right coverage.

I can’t believe 285 is still closed. I had to work late last night (9:30) and 285 was closed at S. Cobb drive. I don’t have to go that far, but I’m wondering how it’s going to be going home this evening. I’m not planning to work until 9:30 tonight.

Things change yearly. We have a yearly review with our Agent to go over any changes to the household, personal property, etc. I keep a running list of what ifs and try to get it explained to me in general terms not Ins. co terms to make sure we are covered.
