Bad Habits

All of us has quirky little things about us that are part of who we are. For the most part, they are pretty harmless and aren’t such a big deal. However, I believe some of us have some bad habits that may actually run potential partners away. How honest are we about them, though?

I’m quick to say that I love me and if another person can’t recognize all my wonderful goodness (flaws and all) then forget about them! Every now and then, though I have had to stop and think to myself. Is this yet another reason why I’m still single?

What are you bad habits that need to be dropped? I had one that I had no choice but to drop: dating men who had no clue how to be supportive or meet my needs emotionally. They were my bad habit! They were great on paper, ambitious and driven, yada yada. When it came to checking on me and caring about what I thought or felt, I was invisibile. That’s not a good feeling: Being in a couple and feeling alone.

Do you have a bad habit you are drawn to? Maybe there is something about your behavior that is turning people off? Do you have a bad habit of talking down about love and romance? Are you constantly negative about the opposite sex and have a bad habit of complaining about them to everyone you meet?

If we were to take a real honest assessment of some of our bad habits, what do you think we could find to improve? How can we drop them like a…well bad habit!

LOL Randy yeah I was but I am really going to that this weekend. It’s the perfect time because I like to go bare skinned for as it has time to soak in.

I like to put on while my skin is still wet, then wait like 10 minutes and put on another coat. Then I just let it be free of any cloth rubbing against it. I have to reapply to my buttocks because I sit and read or watch a movie while I am being moisturized.

That’s just a little quirker habit I developed over the years.

Okay, I may catch some crap for this one, but if I have a date that I think may get “comfortable’, when I think about it, I’ll sprinkle some baby powder on some of the “private parts”.

Because of a few very fond memories during my early teens with an older lady, the easily recognizable smell of J & J’s “Baby Magic” still makes certain anatomical parts to jump to attention. I still love that smell.

@Lioness, yes I ate it AFTER I cleaned and seasoned it. I just got up and took over. I let her fix the sides. I knew my child was hungry and we were not going to eat meat that hadn’t been washed (that I knew about).

I remember about 3 months ago someone from the health department was on tv stating that washing meat is not necessary. My immediate reaction was “you have got to be kidding me.” Hhmph!

FaceBook is a forum for expressing my thoughts much like blogging for me.

Additionally, I have found that it is the best way to centrally keep up with almost all of my friends – especially the ones that post regularly. It is also how I share my life with 300 of my closest friends without having to reach out to each one of them individually.

It totally works for me.

He was saying that we tell our guys ” I’ll be really quick all I have to do is crimp my hair”

Kevin: We don’t know what a crimp is so we say okay… woman’s been in there for 5 days… lmao!!!!

That’s so us.. its a long process but the end product is worth it!!

Melo Yep. I know my husband goes to work everyday with a little hint of me on him because my layering process leaves our entire room and bathroom smelling like the fragrance I use every morning. Especially when it gets caught in the steam from the shower.

I bathe with regular Lever first, then I bathe a second time with the shower gel that goes along with the scent I wear. It’s not real harsh but leaves a light hint of the fragrance on my skin. After that I apply the body lotion of the same scent in the summer and in the winter I use the body cream. The cream is a lot thicker so I only use it in the colder months. I may spritz just a little with perfume itself but that just depends.

BAD HABITS : PHUCKKING ANIMALS!

THE provincial governor of Zimbabwe’s Midlands Province said “an adult human being was responsible” after a goat gave birth to a “human-like creature” on Sunday.

Governor Jason Machaya led a delegation of police officers and journalists to the Maboleni area in Lower Gweru, under Chief Sogwala, to see the “creature” which died within hours.

“The head belongs to a man while the body is that of a goat,” Governor Machaya told the Chronicle newspaper.

Machaya said he believed a local man had “lost self control” and had sex with the goat.

“This incident is very shocking. It is my first time to see such an evil thing,” the governor said. “It is really embarrassing. It’s self-evident that an adult human being was responsible. Evil powers caused this person to lose self control.”

The Chronicle said “the creature had a human head, face, nose, shoulders and human-like skin that had very scanty furs. It had goat features from the ‘shoulders’ to the legs.”

Its “sagging stomach”, the paper said, “prevented curious villagers from determining whether it had human or animal sex organs as it protruded covering the front part.”

“Villagers said the end product was so scary that even dogs were afraid to move close to the goat,” the paper’s Midlands correspondent wrote after a trip to Maboleni with the governor.

A villager, Themba Moyo, said the “creature” was “a miracle that has never been witnessed anywhere”.

The goat’s owner, a Mr Nyoni, said he called the police and village elders after his shock find.

Nyoni has 15 goats and says the animal that gave birth to the bizarre creature “is the mother of most of my herd”.

“It’s the first time that my goat has done this. My goats often give birth to sets of twins,” he added.

Chief Sogwala has summoned villagers to a meeting, and fears the incident is a “bad omen”.

The chief advised Nyoni to seek the help of a sangoma “in search of answers to this bizarre incident”.

Govenor Machaya said it was a “disgrace that a man can stoop so low opting for animal company in a world full of women.”

He added: “We often hear cases of human beings who commit bestiality but this is the first time for such an act to produce a product with human features.”
The governor said he would lead a campaign for harsh sentences for people who abuse animals.

He added: “Our people should be taught that such acts are bad, they are evil. God created men differently from animals. As men, we have women who really love us. They even outnumber us by more than 52 percent I think.

“It is my prayer that whoever did this should be punished severely, if caught, so that we discourage others who may think of committing similar crimes.”

Now that is a new one for me about the baking soda as a facial cleanser…need to try that as I always have some for one reason or another…I have always liked to use oatmeal…I add milk to the bath water and put some oatmeal in an old hosiery, run it through the water and then use the hose sack to wash my skin…real nice and soft…and I just started using African Black soap on my face…smooooooth finish…I really like it alot…and lanolin, olive oil and vitamin e combined is one of the best moisturizers for skin.

Olive oil is THE BEST for your hair. Get the cheapest, store-brand bottle of extra virgin oil. I soak it thru my hair a few hours before washing it and just walk around with it on, let it condition it. It makes it so soft.

I got my butt beat real bad once over some cod liver oil. Mrs. Howard, sweetest woman in the world. My mom would drop us off every morning and we’d go to school from Mrs. Howard’ house. Mrs. H cooked complete breakfasts every morning, made home made cinnamon bread with nuts and raisin (house smelled like a dream), etc. My mistake… I refused/couldn’t take the cod liver oil that morning… we went round and round (you know how little kids do, running!) that morning. I left for school with a promise she made me, if I didn’t take it when I got in that afternoon she was going to beat me, end of story. :) )) RIP Mrs. Howard (I was in elementary then, I’m 46 now).
