You’ve already met

If I think about all the men I’ve met, dated, dumped, or were dumped by, I really can’t imagine that I would end up with one of them one day. I am pretty sure that if we were “meant” to be together, then things would have happened the first time we crossed paths. What if that’s not the case, though?

I have heard a lot of couples say that they reconnected through Facebook, or found they were living in the same city, and things clicked instantly. Do you think that we meet people at certain times in our lives for a reason?

Is it possible that you have already met or dated the person you are supposed to marry? Do you believe that it’s about timing? How much do you think our life experiences change us? Is it possible that a person can be right for you now, but was wrong for you years ago?

I could be a hopeless romantic here, but do you believe in destiny? Do you think that whatever happens in your love life is going to happen because of destiny?

I’m just throwing statements out from observation and for the sake of debate.

What is the difference between omitting something and just not telling a person YET or waiting until the right time?

BTW – I can be guilty of telling you what I think you need to know when I think you need to know it. LOL

W8

God uses killers, murderers, tax collectors those who worshipped false gods for His work. He liked to use folks who people looked down upon.

I agree. I always felt that Doubting Thomas was one of the more important people of the Good Book. Thomas lost faith and wanted proof that Jesus resurrected. I think that we all have some Doubting Thomas in us. If one of the Apostles could lose faith, be forgiven. So, can anyone.

Good afternoon.

I’ve got to say, when it comes to this blog lurking is the best. Some really good post and insightful point of views especially when you all contribute to deep discussion. And did I mention informative (sometimes). LOL

And to the moderator Wise Diva, just want to say youre doing a splendid job all on your lonesome. I can remember lurking back when Laney was on board. And to contribute to the original topic sure I believe in the idea of everyone of us being put on this earth for a purpose. A mission. Call it whatever you like, but I do believe it can be for more than one reason and definitely more than one person.

Which brings me to say something else. We’ve Already Met. I had to laugh at this one. And since you will not reply back to my email Ms. Jamocha (do not mean to put you on the spot) but all that I can say is Yes We Have. Little lady I finally figured out who you are. And it was VERY nice to have met you THIS morning. LOL at the look on your face because you still have no idea who I am. Priceless.

You all have a good evening.

@W8, the only problem with that is God takes care of situations and answers prayers on HIS time. His time really has nothing to do with our time. People need to step back and let God’s glory manifests itself after you’ve prayed your prayer! Once you prayed, let it go and let him handle it!

Cool post Tazzee. Now, that you are engaged I will only expose myself to you on occassion. I know, I know, but that’s way it has to be. Talk to Raqi she had withdrawl as well but look at her now.

Knowledge and wisdom will bring you closer to God. God didn’t create man to be simple. The most powerful gift God gave to man is his mind. The strongest inclination man has is self preservation (and that is relative too) and the second strongest inclination is curiosity. Thus, we are tasked to survive and seek God out. If you believe God is the be all and end all then there is no such thing as “the other side of God”. God is everything.

And it comes back full circle to “We all have our walk.” I always think we get so deep when things are so simple. Love your neighbor as you love yourself..covers all the 10 commandments. Would you want to be cussed out..then don’t cuss your mama..your mama is your neighbor too. Don’t want someone to kill you..don’t kill(this one and captial punishment…its a push at time) Don’t steal..well you get the point.

@W8 you are welcome on the explaination..call me kooky but I think women have been disenfranchised alot in this world..and I am curious to know why. I think alot of what is written by man(the male opinion) is bogus. I think man does have a job as protector and defender of woman not because woman is weak but divine and given a divine birthright. I think at some point in our history man got jealous of that birthright and started switching it up..but that’s a whole other Oprah for another day.
