City & State or ZIP

No, Seriously

I was asked what the dating scene in Atlanta was like recently. I smiled and said, well, you need three things: healthy dose of self-esteem, loads of patience, and a sense of humor. I think that is pretty much going to keep your dating drama to a minimum.

In your opinion, when you are getting to know someone, is it a waste of time to get to know someone that you think has little potential for “MVP status” with you? I ask because, I think so many times we completely miss the mark on who is actually a good match for us.

Have you ever met someone who seemed like a colossal waste of time, then they turned out to be a great thing?

Are we not willing to take risks in dating anymore? Does that make us big chickens when it comes to match in love and romance?

If you are brave enough to want an actual relationship with someone, how long does it usually take before you take the person seriously? Is it more about their behavior and consistency or the amount of time they have managed not to repulse you? Perhaps a little of both? What are your thoughts?

I’ve always evaluated those situations based on how much I’ve got to lose.

I wish more people did.

This is why I respect, PG!

Most men get sloppy when cheating. Women are better liars and decievers therefore better at cheating. ABC will give you kudos for that admission…albeit true

I have a theory about men cheating. Either your wife is just too damn naive and stupid to see it OR she couldn’t care less because she has her own thing going on. I always say, gut/intuition is about the greatest thing a woman possesses.

Also, thanks to No Child Left Behind school funding is tied to performance. Money plays a roll in everything. I think that the cheating by teachers and administrators(both here in GA and around the country) show that tying money to tests leave the door open for some foul stuff.

She gets my email addy and begins sending me messages as if she was he..asking questions that made no sense. So when I picked up on it..I got mad. I said fine she wants to be Inspector Gadget..riddle this..I sent to the email pictures of two little kids, boy and girl same skintone as ole dude and put under the captions doesn’t Tee-Tee look like daddy and Savannah has her daddy’s eyes.

I don’t know what happen after that but last message I got was direct from her own email asking had I seen him..I ask her why did you lose him? You want to play games I can play right along.

It doesn’t mean that I wouldn’t do anything, but I would evaluate if I were willing to pay that price.

I doubt that I’d pull a Fred Tokars on her, but I’d probably cut the finances. She is a grown chick and an attorney so she can take care of herself.

As it stands now I don’t think I would try to do anything to a woman that my husband chooses to step with. She is not the one that will have betrayed me and my trust. I would deal with him.

And if a woman feels like she can take my husband and manages to do so, I have to admit they are meant for each other. However I would not kill him or try to, that’s too easy. I would just make sure she has $$$$$ less of his funds to utilize every month.

And I would never give him or her the satisfaction of me marrying someone else. I would more than likely get with someone else but we will just vacation on the Caymans on his dollar.

I hear you man…and I believe you’re bringing things back in tow. No I won’t like and say I’ve never lost grip with my emotions but I’m a hot head and quick tempered and if I’m pushed hard enough so mad I can’t see straight but guess what…I’ve learned to drop foolishness, walk away and not look back and as someone stated earlier, adapted to becoming indifferent. Can quite remember which person quoted but that should be engraved or bottled and sold. Get angry beyond what’s humanly allowed is sooo draining and tend to adversely affect only you…unless you taking folks out…lol…I kid I kid

My personality is one that stands around and have a verbal fight.

I’ve seen plenty of fights where two guys stand there saying what they are gonna do to each other and nothing really happening.

I am not a person that will tell you what I am gonna do. I just do it and let you figure it out afterwards.

I got detention twice during high school and both times were for fights. I swept one kids legs so fast that his fact hit the cafeteria floor and knock out a tooth. The other just got picked up and thrown into the shrubs in front of the school. I said gave no warning to either.

Raqi – I guess that’s why the men deal with the man who is creeping with their wives. At least it’s “acceptable” to hit another man.

But yeah, every time I read a story of a woman getting $44,000 a month in child support, I’m thinking someone has gotten just desserts.

Adultery being assumption of the risk is a general statement. It applies to all involved, especially given the STD rates.

I wasn’t talking about you specifically. I had no idea of the circumstances around your situation.

It was more of general statement.

LOL Melo Nah, not really. I just try to be the best wife I can be now and in doing so I am just going to roll over and play dead if he gets foul.

My husband loves his money. I have a joke that I say to him all the time about him marrying me and his money at our ceremony. He was holding my hand with one hand and had his other in his pocket. I say he was holding hands with his money and he stated his vows. He was really just nervous but I know that man loves his money.

The only thing that would be worse to him than him shelling out $$$$$ a month for child support (he wouldn’t have a problem with CS) AND alimony is me using his money to live the good life with another man.

Heck to spite him even more I would a get young tenderony. 23-25 years old eccentric kinda guy. With dreads. (My husband hate dreads and lazy deadbeats) His daily occupation would be simply doing me.

One more thing…I learned that my dark side has to be kept at bay.

I darn near killed a kid in the 5th grade. He called me the n-word while on the school bus. He told me that I was supposed to sit in the back, too. I refused. So when i got off and the school bus was out of sight, he jumped me from behind. I grabbed a handful of dirt and threw it in his eyes and got a handful of his nuts. I then dragged him to the street curb and slammed him onto the asphalt and grabbed his hair and started slamming his face into said curb. I saw his eye start to roll and the next thing I know my dad was pulling me off that kid.

I learned then to control myself a little bit.

Being that I am in the legal field, no one wants to take me up on that. They feel that it is unfair that I know attorneys and stuff.
