No, Seriously

I was asked what the dating scene in Atlanta was like recently. I smiled and said, well, you need three things: healthy dose of self-esteem, loads of patience, and a sense of humor. I think that is pretty much going to keep your dating drama to a minimum.

In your opinion, when you are getting to know someone, is it a waste of time to get to know someone that you think has little potential for “MVP status” with you? I ask because, I think so many times we completely miss the mark on who is actually a good match for us.

Have you ever met someone who seemed like a colossal waste of time, then they turned out to be a great thing?

Are we not willing to take risks in dating anymore? Does that make us big chickens when it comes to match in love and romance?

If you are brave enough to want an actual relationship with someone, how long does it usually take before you take the person seriously? Is it more about their behavior and consistency or the amount of time they have managed not to repulse you? Perhaps a little of both? What are your thoughts?

Ared: Lets stick to DK’s story. Ole boy was led out of the mall by the chick cause she was scared. That’s says alot about ole boy and how much he cares for that chick. – Piece of advise if your dude ain’t willing to stand up for you he don’t give a ish about you. Now, I’m not talking about some random fool that wants to fight for no reason. Is that what you are talking about?

@DK and another thing so what if she saw you in the mall. Your boi was not there at the mall, what were you going to do fight the dude for your friend? Call him to come to the mall and hold the guy until he gets there? “Come on dude I got him hemmed up in the bathroom.” or was your plan to follow her and dude around the mall?

@W8 if every there was more foolishness that 12:19 is right there on top.

Kym – I agree. Some of the dudes on here really sound mentally unstable. I understand venting, but some of this stuff are actual thoughts and real life EXAMPLES. Gas face for real.

What are you talking about Kym? In my 12:19 I stated that if my wife..the queen of my household the mother of my children cheats..I will check her…that does not mean physical violence at all…but the dude she messed with there is no limit as to what I will do to him..sorry you see that as foolishness but thats the consequence if you come messing with mine..There are no rules to that sitaution..so you get what’s coming if you mess with a married person..you have no rights…sometimes you may get caught and your ass whooped or sometimes you may get off scotch free..lol@ saying what is foolishness…foolishness is someone stepping out on their spouse

I have never, ever, felt threatened in ANY relationship I’ve ever been in. Recognize the signs and bounce out. Most importantly, don’t spend time throwing salt in the wounds of an already hurtful situation. Just roll! That’s when the “indiffernce” side comes in handy.

Sassy now having a reflective moment……I’ve had to fight one man in my life that I was in a relationship with…ONE. See I grew up watching my parents fight….my dad is 6 feet even and my mom is 5′2″ and he took advantange of that. That is until one day she picked up a fork and gave him four across the face with it….he never touched her again….luckily they got divorced.
After seeing that I swore that no man would ever do that to me and I mean it. As for the one dude I had to fight all I can say is I don’t know what he was thinking b/c we were in the bish moving furniture and shyt cause I had lost my everlasting mind. I said that to say this: a man will only get away with some ish that he’s either gotten away with before or he’s trying you. I am by no means a bad azz but when you aggress me like that with some bull ish your fragile ego can’t take then “get it how you live cause it’s on”.

I don’t hit men(outside the bedroom) b/c I don’t want that to happen to me….but I’m not about to be a punching bag either.

@W8 of course infidelity is not right( this from a woman who specialized in dating married dudes) but all the same why attack the dude? He didn’t trick her into pulling her clothes off. She tossed it up he caught it done. Same with dudes that cheat..no one tricked them into cheating..”Yeah baby she pulled a David Copperfield on me and bam my dyck was in her mouth.” But he didnt have to take the coochie..or ole girl didnt have to go with the hubby to the no tell motel..Chicken or the egg..folks chicken or the egg.

@DK I agree with you about pulling your weapon…if you pull your weapon it should be for two reasons (1) you are taking the person out or (2) you are a hunter and you see dinner.

Let me try this one more time…

@W8 Of course stepping out on one’s spouse is foolishness(this comment comes from a woman who specialized in dating married men) However, why are you blaming the dude or the other woman? Dude did not trick the wife into pulling down the panties..she tossed it up he caught it. The woman did not trick the man into cheating. “Damn baby she pulled a David Copperfield on me..there was smoke a flash and bam my dizzle was in her mouth.” Let’s get real. Well he/she knew she/he was married…well hell so did the married person..were they not at the wedding..still didnt stop them.

Men get agitated when their women cheat coz they feel their ego has been put down.
To us men,we define ourselves by 1: Our Egos(that ego, and how we pack it)
2: our money and trappings.

when another man is chomping on ur home ground, a man feels the way he does coz he feel the woman stepped coz he wasnt bringing it.Its like another man challenging him to a physical fight.
No wonder the angst.
Ive neva found my woman cheating on me but if that where to happen,it wld be coz 1) the bacon hasnt been there in the home and maybe ive been trifling 2),i aint packing the heat 3) i was the 1st to step consistently.

If all three are on point, then no other man is gonna enjoy her adnauseam.
