Crossed the Line, Now What?

I read somewhere that every healthy relationship has boundaries. That invisible line in the sand that you would never cross, under no circumstances. Riddle me this, what happens to the boundaries when you are in love? Why is it that otherwise normal people toss out their logic and reasoning when they are head over heels?

It’s like being caught up in “the haze of love” completely blinds one to their boundaries. The next thing you know, you are hacking email accounts, looking at text messages, or something equally psycho. Would you be able to get past your date’s behavior if they crossed your relationship boundaries? Did you regret it?

My friend Paul said that he once forgave a young lady for looking through the photos on his laptop without asking. That was just one sign of how nosy and insecure she was about his female friends. They dated for a while but he thinks that the photo thing was a red flag that he ignored.

Have you ever crossed the line with someone you were dating? Did they give you another chance?

My friend D. Young coined the term relationship boiling points, recently.  Those things that can send you over the edge. I can think of a couple that a guy would never recover from. Then there are the ones that can be dealt with and I can be won over again. After a little begging and a trip to the Apple store or something!

What are your relationship boiling points?

Yeah, I have a friend that is a writer for MTVs From G’s to Gent and she also does some work for that Charm School show.

Mine puts me in a mellow mood.
It’s like I’m floating on a cloud.
There is never any negativity
Only positive flow allowed.

And when I reach I my hand to him,
It is my heart he holds.
He whispers to my spirit as
He sits beside my soul.

And when the rhythm of our heartbeats match
And I call aloud his name,
I know that heaven re-wrote my script
And things will never be the same.

TGIF All!

Snooping – I mentioned before that I had it done to me and my relationship never recouped from that. When you snoop you have to be ready to handle what you might find. I personally am not doing all that, I respect yours so please respect mine. Not going thru emails, cell phones, nothing….

Okay I didnt see the Housewives of ATL last night but heard plenty of it this AM on the radio. Dont know if I want to get sucked in since I watch little to no reality tv.

Poppa it is embarrassing to the city they claim to represent.

Not really IMO.

It just plays into stereotypes. When I saw the finale to the New Jersey Housewives, I just thought that just played into the stereotypes of all the NJ and the mafia. One lady bought EVERYTHING in cash. She pulled out 100,000 in cash in a furniture store. The only thing that they failed to do was to go the the Bada Bing and ask for Vito or Michael Corelone.

What’s really embarrassing is what the news and seeing Rabbi’s and politicians really getting arrested for money laundering. That really happened in NJ recently.

No, what was embarrasing (a scene shown last night I believe in the recap from last season…first time REALLY watching), was when NeNe’s husband was trying to explain to her the difference between 1/2 and 1/3…she was supposedly helping her son with his homework and dad came to their aide. You’re a grown woman, showing out on tv and call yourself being polished…bad grammar, diction and all….and you don’t know simple fractions. I just about passed out when he tried to mentally paint the picture of what’s the most “half or third.” Nope, not embarrased but she should be.

All the women on all the shows are ghetto cause if they truly were wealthy & had good breeding & class they would not even submit to doing such a show.

I agree. Also, the producers know what they are doing. They want controversy. All you have to do is look back to the “Real World”.

According to Mrs. PG, Kandi Burress (formerly of Xscape) is replacing Eric Snow’s wife because she wasn’t in everyone’s business and such. Producers of said shows know what they are after.

I guess that the channels that show Real Housewives is smart. Grey’s and Law and Order are in summer re-runs. So, it gives their show an advantage.

Main lurker I heard about that episode. Truly embarrassing.

They need to do a show on REAL housewives. Housewives who take care of the house and the kids for real. Heck I may quit my job and fire my housekeeper (who is about be out anyway, maybe) to possibly do that show.

LOL Yeah right. Not me. Look at Jon and Kate.

PG – Okay!! And one had the nerve to get offended when people wrote in suggesting they were in the mob! Did you see the chick, I think it was the one that bought the furniture cash, turn over the table in the restauraunt!

Every city has their “element”! Folks should understand when they watch these shows that the entire city is not like those 4 or 5 women & their families!

I don’t know if you watched or remember the very first cast of the Real World. However, they were “normal”. They had jobs and did what most people do. They were in NYC. It didn’t that well.

It took the Real World San Francisco to make that show a success. Puck who was just disgusting. Pedro had AIDS. There were others. However, that dynamic pretty much set the course for what we have today.

Or the television made-for-the-young-foggy-impressionable-minds show that I wouldn’t dare to watch.

My oldest son used to love that show. <= That’ my final answer Regis.

PG one of my soror’s was on one of the Real Worlds, I can’t remember which one now. It was back in like 96 I think. Anyway, they hardly ever showed her because they said she didn’t have enough drama or whatever. She went to school, studied and only went out occasionally.

I remember back in 04 I think when they did RW in San Diego and omg those people were off the chain. I remember seeing them at this club in downtown San Diego fighting, and plus the camera crew follows them around. One of the girls ended up getting arrested and booked into Las Colinas women’s detention facility. At the time, I was a Social Worker for Child Protective Services and I happened to be at the jail interviewing a mom because we (CPS) had taken away her newborn baby because it was a pos-tox (tested positive for meth) baby and I needed to prepare my reports because I had been subpoenaed (sp?) to testify in juvenile court. Anyway, I was quite surprised when I saw the camera crews showing the girl talking to one of the roomates. Oh and it was alleged that one of room mates raped a girl at the house. Oh this was the season where there was that black dude named Jaquease or something like that. He wore glasses.

TNT has a new show that i watch…i cain’t recall the name of it. But the guy that was a Lawyer in “Law and Order” as an attorney has a lead roll in it. This new show is more action though.
