Single people can be a creative bunch. We come up with the most unique excuses reasons not to date someone. I’m talking about the “relationship resume” that some people prefer to be long, detailed, and has proof of commitment. You say you are a good candidate? We’re going to need references!
While some prefer not to date a previously married person, others would just like someone who is not new to the relationship thing. I can admit that dating someone with no real relationship experience can be challenging.
You may have to become a virtual relationship guide and exercise a little more patience. It’s not necessarily impossible to do but I am pretty sure the inexperienced person would have to put up with something too. That’s why it’s called a relationship.
Do you think those post high school and college relationships really make a big difference in our relationship resume? What do you think is important in a person’s dating history?
What was the relationship from your past that you think helped make you a better person?
Which one do you think actually created some emotional baggage for you?
Would it bother you if you were dating someone who has never had a long-term relationship before?
I want to remind you that the Misadventures in Atlanta blog will be closed on Friday.
Happy Monday!

Cemeeli – I don’t know what the heck you are talking about. Your questions are all over the place.
You asked how could you be taxed for a city you don’t live in. If you are talking about property taxes, you won’t.
I was talking about a sales tax. Why don’t you quit talking in circles and just get to your point or move on.

I agree with the increased sales tax for the city. I know I make a special effort to buy in Cobb County when I can. Hanging out with friends at Lenox and I see something I want at Macy’s – I’ll have the lady at the cash register search to see if it’s at Cumberland JIC – that 2% adds up

Melo…don’t read more into it…we had a GREAT sex life and was together allll the time…no street running tolerated. Not tryna brag but seriously (and not that I’ve always come out on time in a relationship) but as mentioned before on here, that was the one that took me about 6 or 7 years to really shake…for good…seriously….member getting my skirt pulled before getting in the door…that was him.
My point though was in reference to the statement. It was funny to read because he’d say it from time to time. Like I said, in retrospect and just having lived and learned, I’m more than certain some of the times…”hanging with his boys” wasn’t always “beer and wings” or “shooting hoops”, given the state of a man’s mind at the tender age of about 22 or 23 when all you do is drink, sleep and eat…azz. No he was never lacking in the “getting his needs met” department, heck he saw to that. I washed, cooked, cleaned….and stayed sexed up. Better yet, he was a chef and most of my cooking was learned (from him). That was something he actually enjoyed doing. Now cleaning behind himself was another story but me being all domesticated and stuff (lol), I did my share.
You missed the point mayne.

You live in Cobb, right Tazzee? That’s right, support your county.
I just think raising property taxes hurts the folks who live in the city when there are way more folks than that using it’s amenities. In addition, raised property taxes will just discourage more folks from buying in the city in the first place.
A sales tax will hit the residents and the visitors from our neighboring suburbs!

Never forget that the state has its hand in your tax bill as well. They can add tax rate increase through the county (which is how it is usually done) for living in the state.
You never own the property on which you live. You own the structures, and a bundle of rights that come with that parcel. But never the physical land itself. That is what allows for eminent domain. It remains the government’s physical. Property taxes are really a charge for them letting you to live on the physical property.

If you have the money, you can buy a parcel of land. I see that all the time.
Even with eminent domain, if you own the land (and not land value, but the actual plot of dirt) the government has to compensate you for any action taken under ED

Cee – Lmao. Some of them have no clue bout them egg sammiches…
Melo – Seriously though…cooking for the man, before I smuck his brains out, will not keep him there. I’m realistic enough to know, that you cannot “keep” someone that doesn’t want to be kept. It doesn’t matter how much I toe the line (not to say that I’ll start slacking)…however, I’d rather the man make up his own mind outside of just gettin’ good pu$$y & eatin’ good. I’d hope that he can see that I have more to offer than just those two.

Another good point.
Tourists will also take that hit. I remember going to Miami or Vegas or somewhere and paying 10% sales tax! You accept it though because you want to visit that particular city.
Atlanta is no Vegas or Miami though, and I know convention organizers consider those things when chosing locales.

PoppaG I see what you are saying and we all pay in those regards. But no other county resident can be access for property tax if the person doesn’t live in said county.
My taxes are raised all the time. I work with taxes.
I understand resonable increase on goods and services for every county.

The fifth amendment makes for the compensation claim.
It is speaks towards the bundle of rights not the physical land. Speaking towards property rights of the right to invite anyone that you’d like or exclude folks from property.
It also applies to intellectual property.
It is more about the rights than the physical property.
The legal definition of property is a bundle of rights.
