Where is your label?
Sexual orientation can be a touchy topic among single people on the dating scene. Some people want to know immediately; some try to guess, while others make a fool of themselves with assumptions. Do you think it is rude and impolite to inquire about sexual orientation?
I am a pretty friendly person so a lot of times I like to get clarification about whether I am engaging in friendly chat with a stranger or if we are checking each other out for potential romance, number exchange, or whatever. I have simply asked outright. Not in a malicious way or to offend, I just put it out there so I can get clarity: Do you date women, men, or both?
Do you ask people their orientation when you first meet them? Have you ever been asked the “which team are you playing for” type of question? How did you react?
I have known women who consider themselves bisexual. I am not sure if it means anything, but they currently are seeking/are in relationships with men. Their attraction for women is still there and they openly tell men about their past experiences and it does not seem to impede them.
Guys, what do you think about women who have had relationships with both genders? Could you see yourself in a serious relationship with one?
Ladies, if a man admitted to having prior experiences with other men, is that an immediate turn off for you? Do you feel comfortable discussing this type of thing with someone you are getting to know?
What do you think about sexual labels: straight, gay, bisexual..etc. Are they necessary or not important?

When I was single and dating, I don’t recall a lot of women ever asking me about my sexual preference, but I’ve never had a problem if they did ask. I’m 100% straight, so if they did ask, I would gladly tell them. There’s nothing wrong with a woman asking that of a man, but if she starts nit picking and getting paranoid about every little behavior of his, wondering if he’s gay or not, then that can become an issue.

@Lioness I am going grocery shopping today. DK- I actually had 3 women do that to me when I was out with my homegirl one night. Those chicks thought we were down with the rainbow & had the NERVE to ask us back to their apt. & said if it got too late that they had a spare room.. I was like WTH?? #1 I don’t go to strangers houses & #2 I don’t sleep in the same bed with women.. Don’t care if it is my homegirl or NOT!! I’ll sleep in the same bed with my mom & that is about it but it will HAVE to be a King bed.

I don’t see how a man wanting to do anything with a woman makes him “gay” as long as he is only with women he can’t be gay by definition.
Also a few years back there was a study done where either 500 or 1000 straight, gay, and “bisexual” men & women were shown “sexually stimulating” photos of both men and women while having their brian activity measured via EKG… the results were that 0% of the men were stimulated by both men and women in seductive photos.. men were either turned on by men or women… while about 40% of women were sexually stimulated by photos of both men and women. I could not find a link to that particular study, but several others have come to the same conclusion that althouh men claim to be aroused by both sexes, they really are not when you measure their brain activity, or erectile functions. Although many men calim to be bi-sexual, and many men have sex with both men and women… they are faking the funk with somebody…

@Kimmie- I have the Regulation Tag on the Back with the bulldog on it from the DMV/Tag Office..up front I have niiiiceee UGA Tag…and my daughter bought me another one for Fathers Day..There are some nice ones out there…I already have her a pink one to put on the front of her car for her 16th Birthday..:)
