Beside Every Bad Boy

I once read that beside every bad boy is a bad girl. I interpreted this to mean that some men are drawn to the bad girls for the exact same reasons bad boys are so appealing to the ladies: excitement. The allure of excitement translates to passion; and passion can translate to, well a lot of good stuff!

While the excitement can make a bad girl seem intriguing there is a fine line between bad girl and wicked woman. Why are bad girls rarely seen without a man?

Guys, what is your definition of a bad girl? I am not talking about the emotionally unstable creatures or the psycho chicks. The bad girl that I am referring to are the women who have a little edge. How much “bad” can you handle?  Is there a particular edginess that is actually attractive without being a turn off? Have you ever met a woman that just drew you in with her bad girl attitude or behavior? Did you ever have a relationship with a bad girl?

Ladies, is it true that every woman has at least a little bad girl in her? What brings out your bad girl attitude or edginess? How do men respond to it? Are you a reformed bad girl? Was it difficult to break the bad girl habits?

I actually found a couple of sundresses in her size there. Wow, so that’s where you purchased your new home huh? Great choice.

I understand your point, Dan, I think… but even in the case of not making it through 10th grade, well, neither did my brother, he got a GED eventually, started out driving a truck and now is President of the same company, just from working hard, and not being ‘bad’. He’s not really even that smart (he’d probably not even disagree with my saying so), he’s just a good, straight-up, no BS, hard working man. To him, resorting to other methods for temporal or lasting results would have been unsatisfying — a cop out.

The difference is do you have any remorse for your sin and trying your best not to sin. So yes, I sin – daily. But I don’t sin because I know grace is there, I’m thankful for the grace when I do sin. There’s a difference.

Tazzee – that’s why you my girl. I’d peeped your steelo loooong ago. It doesn’t take a “in your face” typa chic to be a real cool nice nasty.

My bad girl just called me braggin about how she put it on me last night. It got me to thinking, admittedly I’m a bad boy, but at the risk of sounding arrogant, Imma helluva man. I woke up this morning and got lil man together. Today is picture day, so I put him on his fly Steve Harvey suit, took him to the barbershop at 8:00 am, so he’d be super fresh. Wifey, wakes up an hour earlier, gets both girls together and then wakes us up as she’s walking out the door. When I get home this evening, dinner will be prepared and the kids will be doing their homework. Like clockwork every Saturday night she does the girls hair, so they will be fresh for church Sunday Morning. I ferociously grind every day so my family can maintain the lifestyle to which they’ve become accustomed. She has two jobs and is still a student. This is the chick that literally, at one point, did what I described in my first post of the day. What I value about our thing, is that we’re not pretentious. Occasionally, we orchestrate some time to indulge in vices that we enjoy. If I decide to take the kids to my mothers house and transform my crib into a strip joint with multiple dancers and a lot of Patron, its on. We’re a bad couple, but in a good way.

Tazz, I wonder if that defense would hold up in court. I knew killing that cat was wrong but I feel remorse for his azz. Whatever you FEEL is irrelevant to what you DID. You ultimately did it because you wanted to and felt the remorse afterwards. When you get to the point where you dont sin then I’ll give you your props. Til then your just like me, except I dont feel much remorse. Hell I did it so why should I?

When I say not make it, I mean like, not living beyond the 10th grade.

While I enjoy a spirited debate, in my burgeoning old age, I’m learning that you can’t argue with some folks.

I’ll say this, and I’m done: would you agree that different environments encourage different social behaviors? If so, wouldn’t having to learn the social parameters of both enviornments (simultaneously) and exist within them both be the definition of bad (as in good)?

The logic behind, and the answers to, those questions is where I’m coming from wit minze.

I had some cake the other day.
It did not go so well.
I got up to weigh myself.
And found extra pounds upon my scale.

Chocolate cake. Lemon Cake.
And cake that is Red Velvet.
Sign me up for the Cake of the Month Club.
That way, you can just mail it.

Cake in the morning. Cake in the evening.
Cake all the night long.
If I can’t have cake when I want it,
Then something is terribly wrong.

I love my cake with milk,
But that ain’t good for my @ss.
Because I am lactose intolerant
And THAT ish gives me gas.

Oh why, oh why do I love cake
When it’s not good for me?
Can we call Cakeaholics Anonymous
to get some help for me?

I love cake! I love cake!
That is my battle cry.
Long live cake.
I’ll love it til the day I die.

Sure it is. Cuz I bet you’re still going to be nice to his married azz. You’re still thinking about him, crushing on him, which is why jerks like him think it’s okay to hit on women outside his marriage.

You’re still talking and wondering and wishing…that’s how we know. Oh and Angie, married men aren’t married because they said so (if that’s the case, they wouldn’t), married men are married because they are. It don’t take one “telling” you…somehow you can extract that information, even if he ain’t forthcoming with it, from actions alone and if not that your gut/intuition. All the time you may not get it off the rip but more often than not he ain’t gonna tell….right away, but somehow if you want to do the right thing, you’ll find out before hitting the sheets.

The Truth I’m not asking you for any props – I just answered your question. And no, that defense wouldn’t hold up in a court of law, but we’re talking about sin vs. breaking the law. It’s the principle that Paul spoke about when he said ‘all things are lawful for me but not all things are expedient’ – just because the gov’t law allows it, doesn’t mean I should be doing it. Those are the things that I’m talking about. There’s no law against me cussing you out because you offended me – but because I’m trying to live a life like Christ – I won’t do it.

And if you don’t feel remorse for the bad things you do – that’s on you. But I will have to disagree – I’m not just like you. But if being just like me makes you feel better, I’ll let you have that.

Dan, I think people are definitely a product of their environment. My brother succeeded in large part due to family environment, in spite of geographical one. Resisting negative aspects of social behaviors specific to our geographic location and environment worked heavily in his favor.

A lot of it has to do with who you associate with. Peers are a strong, strong influence. Positive influences divert one from doing bad things. Choosing peers in a vitally important issue, and avoiding bad ones is as vital.

I understand the importance of it from personal experience. I had to go through it; I wasn’t as resolute as my brother was. I had to gain such resolution through learning first-hand what some of the alternatives were.

Tazz, that may be a female thing, feeling bad about things you do. Dudes do it and only feel bad when it goes bad. Not before. When a dude knocks a chick off he enjoys the moment, until he catches something, she gets pregnant, or she calls with that “you did me wrong” ish.

If you’re trying to live christ like why are you doing the things you know are bad anyway? It should be automatic that certain things don’t happen. or is it that you’re christ like when its convenient or your not horny? I really would like to understand this because I’m losing something somewhere. Dont get me wrong, I’m not mad at you for doing what you do because the way I look at it if there’s a god he gave us this high azz sex drive so we’re doing his will. LOL My thing is why say you’re trying to live one way when obviously your not? Does it make you feel better? Does it help with the guilt of having sex for nothing other than the pure pleasure of it instead of with your husband, like the bible states? Whats the skinny? lol Help me understand. Btw, i’ve been baptized so am I forgiven for all the bad stuff I’ve done?

The Truth What bad things am I doing? When I say I sin, I’m talking about when my little sister twerked my nerves the other week to the point where I went off on her. Or when I riding down the highway and someone cuts me off and I call them a dumbazz out of anger. Those are the things I’m talking about that happen daily that I repent of.

It’s a shame that you’re limited mindset only goes to sex when I talk about sin.

Beautiful Now that you say that, I can see your preoccupation with NOT seeing signs yesterday. You say you missed the signs of him being married after seeing and flirting with him at work daily for 5 months?? Girl, forget what you can see. How about asking a question or two about a dude (especially in a work situation, because several people will inevitably know him better than you do) or just ask the dude if you really want to know important things like his marital status? Didn’t you get the information from another co-worker anyway?

I hear you. But there is a difference between being “in” an environment and “of” it.

There are some choices that you can make and some beyond your control.

In the end, we all live with ‘em (the good and the bad), I’m referring only to the depth of the hole somma us have to crawl from – even if we helped with the digging.

Valid points from your end.

Truth, it’s a sin if you even THINK about beating or killing that MF that just did whatever, or even THINK about screwing that chick you’re not married to. You don’t have to actually do it. You just have to think about how much it appeals to you, and you’ve sinned.

Everyone sins, every day. They say sin is a barrier to answered prayer, but if that were true (much), there would never be a prayer answered, and that obviously isn’t true.

As a woman, I think it’s perfectly fine to be a “bad girl” as long as it’s not shown in public and only comes out with JUST you and your man. This can be done in 2 ways. Of course, when you want to explore sexually. Secondly, when his azz mess up and you get him behind closed doors and get him straight. There’s a diffence between being a “bad girl” and being downright ghetto. Ghetto is NEVER cute.
